Denna mysiga 3 sovrum 2 badstuga byggd pÄ 1940-talet har en stor wrap runt dÀck komplett med veranda swing. Njut av ditt morgonkaffe medan du andas in den svala fjÀllluften! El Matador sover 6 bekvÀmt med tvÄ gigantiska kungssÀngar och tvÄ enkelsÀngar. Huset har ett fullt utrustat kök, pellets spis, 2 plattskÀrms-TV, DVD-skivor för visning, höghastighetsinternet och fönster överallt för att njuta av utsikt över bergen och luften. Stugan har ocksÄ en hÀrlig uteplats komplett med en chiminea och gasgrill sÄ att du kan njuta av de kyliga bergskvÀllarna.

Great Mountain Getaway

Stayed at this property with my husband and 2 children. There was plenty of space to spread out. Porch was absolutely amazing. Location was easy to find. Cozy and inviting cabin decor. Would definitely stay again!

Refreshing Getaway

We came to Cloudcroft to get out of the Texas heat. Cloudcroft is in an amazing location with beautiful, cool, clean, pine-scented air! The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The porches are amazing. I spent many hours in the rocking chairs reading and taking in the weather. Stacy was very helpful when we couldn't figure out the TV remote. And as promised...a delicious blueberry pie on arrival. It was a wonderful getaway for us - just didn't last long enough.

Cozy, Quirky & No Coffee

Right or wrong, it goes without saying that vacation renters these days have become accustomed to certain baseline conveniences -- coffee grounds or beans among them. We were welcomed with an AWESOME cherry pie, which we thoroughly enjoyed and was not expected. Yet while a welcome pie is a great touch, it didn't make up for some basics we found lacking, such as coffee. This was more of an issue b/c a snowstorm that blew in just after we arrived cut down the operating hours of nearby businesses making it harder to get coffee and other eat-in items. The cabin itself is charming, the beds comfortable, and the location great. But there were huge temp differences between the bedrooms -- one with no heating -- and one only accessible via another bedroom. A nice stay overall, but not great.

Our favorite features of this cabin: location very convenient for walking into town, up to the Lodge or just wandering, huge covered porch with rocking chairs and swing, all the kitchen utensils and dinnerware you’d ever need.Highly recommended!

Nice Cabin in Cloudcroft

The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. We stayed for seven nights and had a wonderful time. We saw elk and deer everyday while sitting on the front porch. Would definitely stay again.

Ideal location

We had such a great stay. The cabin was clean and stocked with all we needed. The owners have a great understanding of what is needed for travellers. The location is perfect for the little town of Cloudcroft. It also gave us great access to other locations nearby, like Sunspot, Alamogordo, and White Sands.

Love Charming Home

This is our 3rd time staying in this home. Very charming. Have already made a reservation for next year at the same time. The housekeeping service does need to pay closer attention. Very dirty oven at checkin and no toilet paper. Host was unaware.

Great cabin for a peaceful Thanksgiving weekend

We enjoy our stay at the El Matador cabin. We like the location of the cabin, quiet and within walking distance to Burro Street and close to hiking trails. The kitchen is well equipped for us to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. Overall we have a great stay.

Home Away from Home

We have stayed at Matador twice now and we just love this cabin! Stacey has left a mouth-watering fresh pie inside the cabin for us both times, and it’s a very thoughtful and inviting welcome. Matador is thoughtfully laid out, has everything one needs, and is in a beautiful and fun spot within the village. The porch is a wonderful afternoon spot to watch the world go by. The kitchen has a big beautiful window that lets you take in the forest while cooking. We always sleep well here! Matador is a great central location for an enormous amount of outdoor activity. It’s off the main highway, but close enough to stroll to Burro St. We hope to return here again and again!
