Good location, nice and quiet but close to what we needed

Stayed here for a large family reunion weekend and the location was perfect for us. We were able to get things at the nearby Safeway but also explore much of the area. It is pretty close to the river (walking distance), so fun to get outside. The property itself is nice and clean and was perfect for the two of us and our two adult boys.

Comfortable, spacious home

Very spacious! Comfy. Located in a great neighborhood. Very convenient to grocery stores, coffee, the river, etc. We stayed at this house two years ago and had issues with cigarette smoke from the basement apartment renters wafting into the house, however, there was no hint of smoke this time and we had a very pleasant stay.

Conference in Richland

Three adults in town for a conference. Had to scramble due to VRBO mistake and this was a godsend. Great location and wonderful house! All we needed- kitchen and proximity to grocery and places we needed! Will rebook next year!

Great Stay

We had plenty of room for everyone. Had everything that you will need for your stay and easily able to find what you’re looking for during the stay. Overall a great place and definitely would recommend as well as stay again if we needed to do so.

Great home!

The house is very nicely furnished, and very comfortable for our family of eight. The host was super easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions immediately. We’re especially grateful for the allowing of pets, we’re hoping to return next year for our annual event. We gave four stars on cleanliness only because of the (very typical for the Tri Cities)) dust on the outside deck furniture. We had a wonderful stay!

Great stay in Richland

We stayed for 2 nights and house was great. Nice bedrooms kitchen and living room was very spacious. We used the outdoor patio and BBQ. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the Tri cities. I would recommend staying here. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Richland Home

We enjoyed our stay so much during my husband's 50th class reunion weekend! The house happened to be on the same block as the one my husband and his sister grew up in so it was like old home week. Location was perfect for all our activities and we loved spending time on the deck. The yard was great for our little dog as well.

Grandmothers 99th Birthday

We can up for my Grandmothers 99th birthday coming from 3 states and 5 different locations. It was so nice to have a place all of us could visit without feeling like we were crowded together. Due to miscommunication on my part we had to change our reservation two times. Both times was stress free. I would stay here again with out a doubt in my mind. I only gave it 4 stars not because we weren't happy with everything but because there is always room for improvement in our lives. I will recommend this property to anyone . thank you again for such a wonderful home away from home.

Perfect

We were here for a swim meet, and this house was perfect for our needs. The location is in a nice quiet neighborhood and is super close to Safeway, Starbucks and more. Easy drive to Memorial Aquatic Park. Check-in and check-out were quick and simple. The house is clean, spacious and looks nice inside and out. The kitchen had everything we could need. The beds were comfy, shower is nice and hot. The outdoor areas were also well groomed- nice looking lawn and lavender plants. This property is obviously maintained with care. There were neighbors in the bottom unit while we were there. We could hear them and their dogs sometimes but it didn't disrupt our visit and there were absolutely no smells.

“Shared” house, smells like cigarettes

This house is in an incredible neighborhood. Blocks from the river. Near great restaurants. Very convenient for getting around tri-cities. The house is very cute. Managed to keep its charm but feels modern. The kitchen lacks quality pots and pans, but I was not cooking big meals while there. Lots of lamps missing lightbulbs. One thing that is not super clear on the listing is there is a rental apartment in the basement. It was okay for our purposes but if my husband and I had been on a romantic getaway and we discovered there were people below us, we would not have been happy. There was no one in the lower apartment our first night and things were fine. People arrived the following day and the first evening there was a small hint of cigarette smoke in our upstairs rental. The next day, we entered the rental after being gone all day and GAGGED. The cigarette smell was awful. I contacted the property manager who said she told the downstairs renters they were not to be smoking. We got back to the rental the next day and it still reeked of cigarettes. Not sure if the downstairs people were smoking in their unit or smoking outside the entrance which is just below the entrance of the upper unit. Either way, I had to wash all our clothes that were hanging in closets when we got home because everything smelled! The downstairs group was also quite rowdy so this is not a “you get the whole house” like VRBO advertises. I don’t think we would rent this place again. :(

What can go wrong with check in

We arrived after a drive of several hours and were hoping to get in quickly and use the facilities. I go the front door and the lock box is hanging open and the door is locked. I retrieve the message from VRBO, no contact number. Good thing I had my phone and called VRBO, they gave me a contact number. We called it and it was answered by Windemere Real Estate Agent. They said they knew which property we were at because only one had an open lock box. So, they knew before we arrived and chose not to attempt to contact us by: Phone, email, text, a note on the door, they chose not to make some other arrangement to help us, but decided I should call them when I got there. They said someone would be there in a few minutes. Somehow they got word to the owner and the cleaning lady arrived and gave us her key to use. The wait was 15 to 20 minutes. While most people have smart phones it is not a requirement, if I did not have a phone, I would have been at a hotel somewhere. When I emailed this concern to the owner via VRBO's message I had not heard a reply by the time we left. I have now it was all miscommunication between her and the cleaning lady. Still don't understand how come the problem in her view is the cleaning lady and not the property management or her, nonetheless, the Check in was terrible, bad and in other circumstances could have been much worse.

Great location in Richland

We enjoyed our stay at the historic Gold Coast property. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space. Lots of windows provided abundant light in the living areas. Kitchen is nice with some extras like coffee and spices. The outdoor space with deck were nice but the patio furniture and bbq need an upgrade. Some noise from downstairs apartment but didn’t bother us. All in all I would recommend this home and would stay here again.

Great rental in town!

Spacious house with all the things for your stay. Each room has a large bed and closet - the blackout shades were great for the kids in the summer. Ample towels and things to use for our weekend stay with family.
