Wonderful lake vacation home. Great open floor plan with lake views everywhere. Big screened porch great for enjoying the views and hanging out. Dock for swimming, fishing, kayaking or just relaxing. Close in to shopping and restaurants but feel like you’re far from everything! Great for couples, friends, families, nature lovers, and anyone that enjoys a relaxing beautiful vacation spot. Perfect place to relax

Our second time at this home. We enjoyed our stay both times. Great place to relax and enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Murray. Would visit again and again.

Quaint and comfortable

While a smaller listing, it had all the amenities and the views were beautiful. Several nice restaurants nearby (Rusty Anchor, Higher Ground) and visits everyday geese, ducks and hummingbirds.

Charming Lakehouse

We had a wonderful experience at this lakehouse! The setting is idyllic in a quiet cove with plenty of water alongside a perfect, flat lawn and great water views from the nice-sized screened in porch. The house had everything we needed and the owner was wonderful! We’ll be back and highly recommend for others!

Perfect Little Lake Cabin

This is a perfect little lake cabin. It's not big, but it's very clean and comfortable with a great dock right on the lake. The pictures on the site are accurate and the house is easily accessible and not far from stores and the highway. There is a big screened in porch that stretches the length of the front of the house with plenty of room for lounging and a good sized table for sharing meals.

Wonderful cottage!

Beautiful view from the screened in porch. Nice neighborhood to walk/ride bikes in. Well stocked kitchen and only a 1/2 mile drive to 2 fun restaurants at Johnson Marina. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the culdesac and would recommend this property to other couples or small families. Hope to return again!

Perfect weekend

In town for parent’s weekend at USC. House was absolutely perfect for our family. Not far from Columbia. We had an amazing time boating and kayaking on Lake Murray. Enjoyed morning coffee on the dock and watched fish jump in the lake. It was truly relaxing. Owners were very quick to answer questions. Absolutely would rent again.

The outside of the property is horrible. Inside is just ok. Front door needs work. Felt like i was living in a garage. Bugs in kitchen and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Nice view.

Best hosts we’ve ever had!

Can’t express how wonderful the hosts are!!! The property is exactly as represented, we slept on a comfy king mattress bed and although the bathroom isn’t huge, the shower is generous and equipped with a very nice shower head. The place was super clean. The simple kitchen had all the right equipment (pans were not worn out) for a week’s vacation with light cooking. The porch, the dock, lake front and fire pit were perfect - we had a fire every night and enjoyed the grill! Our small dogs were in heaven! Our hosts were very interested in our comfort and enjoyment during our stay and were very attentive.

Sisters getaway

This place was the perfect relaxing getaway. The home itself was great for a smaller group or a group with kids. The beds were comfortable there were plenty of blankets, towels, pillows. The TVs had roku in all the rooms and were easy to use. There was a ton to do outside and the porch was incredible. The fireplace was ready to use. There was access to kayak and John boat. The owners made sure we had everything we needed before we got there and were readily available for any questions we had. The view out the back of the house was amazing. We cannot wait to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy the water. The location was convenient and easy to get to. We loved our stay and would stay again.

Lovely location, great views!

Perfect place for a lake getaway. The dock was so nice to swim from, fish from, relax on and we even had a few meals there at the table. It's a great set up. They had a swim mat that we really enjoyed as well. There are lots of rafts, floats, several kayaks. They even have a pump to add air if needed. There are baseball gloves, badminton, a hammock, the house is well stocked with games, towels, bedding and a great place to relax. The screened on porch is a perfect way to relax and stay out of the sun. We loved the fire pit in the evenings. The kitchen has about anything you can think of. We came to the area to see Bomb Island and the Purple Martin roost. While you can't see the Island from the house, you can see martins headed that way in the evening. We had a great time and hated leaving. We'll definitely be back sometime in the future.

Super relaxed with perfect location

Soooo - I’d give this a 10 if 10 on every score except that we were surprised upon arrival at the areas not photographed. There is zero curb appeal. It looks like a WWII concrete block bunker with no landscaping. There were also some surprises inside. I did not expect the interior walls to be painted concrete block. Also there is a very unsightly exposed water heater in the kitchen and banged up fridge. BUT - please keep reading. After the initial surprise, we settled in and the place grew on us by the first night. It’s really the most perfectly positioned place to chill. Plenty of space for a small family. All of the toys for fishing. RV and cable and extra channels available. New windows, sliding doors, blinds, floors and bathroom. Super cute interior decor. Glad we got past the first impression (not so great) and grew to love it. The view and screened porch as well as dock could not be better. Owner was super responsive to messages. They also setup the fire pit for us in advance. Great overall experience.

Perfect Scenery

I have stayed at a lot of properties and this one is definitely a favorite. The surrounding views of the lake, the comfort of the house, and the extra little things around the house are wonderful. Stores are close, the one set of neighbors we met were so sweet and our dogs could be comfortable and swim and play and they were actually welcomed— which is huge for us. We saw the Herron successfully gosh for his breakfast every morning and we fed the hummingbirds. Our boys went fishing everyday in the Jon boat we brought down and the one included in the rental. We were close to the marina and rented a pontoon one day and cruised the lake. The sound system inside is fantastic— and although it probably sounds strange, I really want to know what laundry detergent the people use!! Haha. Fluffy towels and fresh sheets that smelled fabulous!!! We stayed 5 nights and didn’t want to leave. We practically lived on the huge screened porch .. will for sure stay here again!!

Great family trip!

We had such a great family trip to Allison & Travis house. They are on top of everything, very responsive! The house had a lot to keep my kids busy (ages 6 and 11). We fished of the dock daily and caught something each day. The kitchen had everything you need. The view is amazing. If you are looking for a quiet family vacation, this is the place!

Vacation with family

Very nice vacation rental with an amazing view. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed (towels, dishes, pots/pans) even had a PlayStation for the kids. Reached out to the owners, very friendly and took my call immediately. Would definitely recommend this vacation rental.

Amazing place.

We drive for 8 hours from Florida, it was definitely worth the drive,the place it's amazing, great location, the house it's really nice ,it has everything you need and more ,one of the best place I had stay and I traveled all around the world, we will definitely be back ,we also brought our 2 dogs, they had a blast, the place it's really relaxing, if you need to take a break from reality, this is the place to go.

Lake Murry Cottage

This place was great and located at a great spot on the lake so the views were perfect. Close to a bunch of cool places to eat and grocery stores right up the road. Perfect for a family with kids and a dog just wanting to get away. We left the families at home and it was 3 guys hanging out playing cards, golf, and just relaxing at the lake. I will be renting this house again for sure. If you like Lake Murry this is a super chill spot. Everyone around us was super friendly.
