Located on a quiet street about a two minute drive to Main Street. Newer 1,300 sf home has fully equipped kitchen & bar area with all the tools you need. There’s a gas fireplace in the living room with comfy seating & TV. Fubo, Netflix, Hulu & Wifi provided. Fubo has most major sporting events! Check their site for specific game info. Smart TVs in living and bedrooms.

Enjoy 2 beautiful bedrooms with king beds & TVs. Bedroom 1 has a private bathroom with shower. The second shared bathroom has a shower. Memory foam toppers and nice linens will allow for a restful nights sleep. Both showers have a detachable shower wand. We have a Queen sleeper sofa available in the living area that’s ideal for two kids, teens or one adult. We also have a pack n play and in seat high chair available for little ones.

Make a cocktail at the bar or open a bottle of wine to enjoy on the patio, around the fire pit or creek that runs through the backyard! Have a cup of coffee on the porch swing in the morning. We have a wonderful fully stocked coffee bar. All kinds of coffee, Harney and Sons fine teas and cocoa for your enjoyment. If you plan to cook we have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve a meal! The pantry is loaded with spices, baking basics, oils and other items you might need.

If you don’t want to cook maybe you can enjoy a take out meal at the large 8 person outdoor dining table. Afterwards play one of the many games from the indoor or outdoor game closets! Finish off your evening chilling out in the brand new luxury hot tub in the back yard or sitting around the fire pit. We think you’ll love our little getaway and Fredericksburg as much as we do!

Charming and peaceful getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home in Fredericksburg! The house was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and full of character. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The property itself is peaceful and well-kept, making it the perfect place to unwind. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering any questions we had right away. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene spot in Fredericksburg!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

This was a GREAT place to stay! From the ease of the check in process to the beauty of the property and proximity to town - all around this was a great stay! The property has everything you may possibly think you need while on an away trip. The house was so clean and very beautifully decorated; it made us feel pampered. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this house!

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our stay at the Shelby Haus. It is adorable and has everything you could need or even imagine for a guest house. It is decorated so cute for Valentine's Day right now. The coffee and tea bar is so generous as are all the other supplies and games. We loved the backyard fire pit. The sunsets are amazing also. Melissa is very communicative and is there if you need anything. She was even sweet enough to offer us a special wine tasting at Safari Winery for my birthday. We loved our stay. Don't hesitate to book this house for your next trip.

Absolutely beautiful

There are no words. The house is an absolutely perfect get away for all occasions. The house has every amenity you can think of if you forget it it'll be there. Definitely kid friendly perfect for a girls weekend, or just a getaway with you and your husband. Just know if you rent this house make sure you a lot some time to spend at the house it's just that charming and comfortable. We will definitely book again.

Relaxing weekend

Everything was absolutely perfect! I wanted a quiet getaway and I couldn’t ask for anything better. The backyard was so relaxing and peaceful and I enjoyed watching the squirrels, deer, birds and neighbors cats. One day I sat under a tree and read for a couple hours. The house is very clean, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere that clean and they are not joking about it being well stocked, it has everything you could ever imagine needing. This place was amazing, I will definitely be back in the future!!

Best 50th birthday girls getaway

Four of us went to celebrate my birthday! The moment we walked in we were just so excited! The warmth and each room just adorable! We cooked in the kitchen, spent time in the living room watching movies and it was so cozy w the fireplace on. We made a fire in the fire pit, sat in the hot tub. Shelby spent time with the details, there was nothing we needed that wasn't there (even a fan!) She even labeled some things. We will definitely be back! It wasn't walking distance for us, but just a few min drive to the shops and restaurants! We loved this house and communication was great. You won't be disappointed! We will be back for sure.

Great house/Great hosts

This is likely the best VRBO we have stayed at. I wont go into all the details but this place has it all. The kitchen is actually stocked and not that it has an extra fork... it has everything you could need and would normally use in your own house (plus more). Hot tub was great, peaceful neighborhood, games to play, beds are comfortable. Look no further, this is the place.

Beautiful Home with Great Amenities

We stayed at this lovely home to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday and had a wonderful time. The house itself was beautiful, with charming decor and comfortable beds. The property was well-stocked with everything we needed, and we particularly enjoyed playing the country legends on the record player, a nice touch since my daughter loves old country music. The outdoor spaces were delightful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the hot tub added to our relaxation. There were plenty of games and toys for both indoor and outdoor activities, which kept everyone entertained. We had a great time shopping and dining at local restaurants. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the property and its amenities.

Perfect retreat

Shelby Haus was by far the best rental we have ever experienced! The HOME is just that, like staying at your friends perfectly decorated, cleaned and equipped home. They thought of everything you could possibly need and then some. Both beds were nice and comfy. Melissa and Tim have raised the bar on our expectations. My husband and I brought my parents to Fredericksburg for their 60th anniversary. This was there first time to Fredericksburg or staying in a bed & breakfast. They were so happy with everything....town, home, winery (only made it to one tasting), peaches, shops, and museum. When we needed R&R time in the afternoons, the backyard provides the wild life we love...plants, birds (beauyiful cardinals) and deers which are plentifil with the creek running on the backside of the property. We are already talking to different family members to plan our next couples trip with hopes of staying at Shelby Haus for our future visits as we enjoy all the wineries, restaurants and shops. Perfect Getaway

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend and really enjoyed it. Just a short distance to Main Street but far enough away that it was as very quiet. Highly recommend and will definitely plan to go back.

Amazing stay

I would highly recommend this property! The owner puts so much time into the details into making every moment of your stay, relaxing and memorable. My favorite touch was the hot cocoa and tea bar, which was the highlight of our trip. I also loved getting to sit on the front porch and relaxing and talking with friends near the fireplace in the living room. She even had the cottage decorated for Christmas which was beautiful. Highly recommended!!!
