Kaldbakur-huset ligger pÄ gÄrden Nollur i ett unikt panoramalÀge. Förstklassiga, naturliga material anvÀndes och huset Àr mycket rymligt. I det 60 m2 stora vardagsrummet har du en fantastisk utsikt över fjorden. Den heta potten pÄ 6 m2 Àr helt tÀckt och möjliggör avkoppling i varmt vatten med utsikt över fjorden. Designerbadrummet Àr utrustat med en stor dusch, tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare. Det första sovrummet har fyra bÀddar (en hyttesÀng, en bÀddsoffa), den andra en massiv trÀ dubbelsÀng av valnöt. Alla rum har direkt utsikt över fjorden.

Wonderful house in the best location

We stayed for a week at Nollur and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect and the views are exceptional. The hot pot is amazing!

This was our second stay at this property and we loved it as much as the first time. The house is beautiful, as is the setting. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area.

Stunning location with great amenities. The hot tub was amazing—we greatly enjoyed using it multiple times. We utilized the kitchen the whole week we were there, and it had everything we needed. We loved the stereo system. The property location would be dark enough to see the northern lights—but we were unlucky with the weather with cloud coverage while we were there. We may have to return to try again.

Der fantastische Ausblick von allen Zimmern auf den Fjord ist einmalig und sowohl bei Sonne als auch bei Regen wunderschön. Die SchlafrĂ€ume sind schön und einladend und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen und uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist hochwertig, mit Ausnahme der Armaturen, die wackeln und spritzen sowie des Geschirrs, das doch recht bunt zusammengewĂŒrfelt und oft abgeschlagen ist. Das passt nicht zum sonst tollen Erscheinungsbild. Obwohl bekannt durch das sehr umfangreiche PDF, das im Voraus versendet wird, ist es doch ungewöhnlich, dass es keinen Kaffee und auch kein Waschmittel gibt, was sonst in 95% der SelbstversorgerunterkĂŒnfte in Island zum Standard gehört. Wir hatten alles dabei, aber es kann leicht ĂŒberlesen werden. Vermisst haben wir einen Grill oder zumindest eine Dunstabzugshaube. Beides hĂ€tte den Geruch beim Kochen verringert. Die Kommunikation war freundlich und informativ. Check-in war easy und ohne Probleme. Sehr ungewöhnlich fanden waren die vielen Kameras, die draußen angebracht waren. Haben wir so in ganz Island noch nicht erlebt, auch nicht in vergleichbar hochwertigen HĂ€usern. Der Hot Pot ist schön, jedoch war er bei unserer Ankunft offen und schmutzig mit Spinnen und Haaren.

This was a great location (under 30 min from Akureyri and on all paved roads) with a PHENOMENAL view. Unfortunately, for us, weird white out fogs rolled into the fjord for chunks of our stay. When the skies were clear, though
WOW! Nice big shower (uncommon for other places we’ve stayed at in Iceland) and the place was clean and we loved the huge windows. Two things to be prepared for
no TV (no big deal for us) and no basic items for cooking (no spices, condiments, etc) and bring detergent if you plan to wash clothes.We really enjoyed our stay.

Everyday, a different view

About 20 minutes from Akureyri, the view alone is reason to stay here. Quiet, inside and out. You can hear the birds and the water. Concrete walls help keep the inside quiet as well. Cool roof with grasses growing. There are stairs to get to the living level. Note they require a non-electric car so do not expect to plug one in.Easy to get to many local tourist areas for day trips such as: horsebackriding(10 min), Husavik (whale watching, Geoseas), Myvatn(Godafoss waterfall, and spa--but we recommend Geosea geothermal bath instead), hiking the Kaldbakur mountain.Inside, the home is appointed well, note there is not a freezer for when you get groceries. Washer and dryer is lovely; shower is spacious. Hot tub takes a while to fill, so plan in advance. Hosts sent PDF with everything we needed, checking in and out was a breeze.

Absolutely spectacular stay on Eyjafjörður!

Stunning property, amazing views! Spotted whales from the hot pot!Top-notch rental with everything considered.-Pre-arrival communication was very thorough, and we received it from Thomas, the host, very early.-Thoroughly enjoyed making some local cuisine while listening to music on the hifi sound system.-Kitchen was fully equipped, though is lacking a freezer. -Bathroom, shower, and laundry were stellar.-Hot pot does take a while to fill, but we were able to work around it. I do wish it were a touch hotter, though, as it’s fixed at 100 F. It was still glorious to enjoy a private soak overlooking the fjord, though!We were completely blown away by this property and this location! We look forward to staying again when we visit Iceland in the future. We hope to return and climb Kaldbakur, the mountain for which this unit is named, which is just a few kilometers down the road.

Erholung mit Ausblick

Wie immer hatten wir eine hervorragende Zeit in Nollur. Das Haus ist fantastisch und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Blick auf die Landschaft bringt sofortige Entspannung und ist allein dafĂŒr bereits eine Reise wert! This was our second stay at Kaldbakur. We love the location and the view! And we especially appreciate the design elements of this house. Mr Sietz is a fabulous architect/designer! We cooked all of our dinners at the house. The kitchen is sufficiently supplied but you need to bring all food items except for salt/pepper. The bed is very comfortable and the hot pot a real treat! We hope to come back again.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist wunderschön. Der Backofen war schmutzig. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war freundlich und unkompliziert. Unser Backofenproblem wurde schnell gelöst!Einziger Nachteil des Hauses ist ein sehr durchgelegenes Schlafsofa! Wir wĂŒrden trotzdem immerwieder buchen!
