Welcome to our newly renovated home, Grates Place, located within the highly sought after Destiny East. Destiny East is a gated beachside community, featuring impeccable amenities for your pleasure and creating vacation memories. Two pools, spa, fitness center, putting green, playground, tennis and basketball courts, IMAX theater. All community amenities are accessible with golf cart.
Wristbands are required to access community pools and amenities.
Easy .5 mi drive to public beach access at The Crab Trap which provides dedicated golf cart parking.

This renovated home comes equipped with all the perks including a 6 passenger golf cart (must be driven by a licensed driver at all times). Golf cart with Bluetooth speaker. The city of Destin permits golf cart use on any roads with 35mph or less. Crossing Hwy 98 is acceptable to reach Destin Commons and Silver Sands.

5 Samsung smart TVs with popular app accounts installed
Keurig coffee maker 12 cup pot or pod. Uses standard basket filters.

Awesome place

We had a wonderful time lots of room for our family, loved the heated pool, really needed more than we knew the golf cart. So close to everything. Wonderful hosts. Definitely would stay again.

Destin Family Vacay

What a great area! The heated pool was so nice as the temps were in the 60s. Gold art included was an awesome bonus. Beach entrance and nice restaurant less than 1/2 mile away! Shannon our host was just a text away. Home was accommodating. Had everything we needed.

Perfect getaway house for travelers with toddlers

The owners responded to every question and inquiry that we had. We noticed that the pool skimmer was ripped while we were trying to clean out the pool from the storm that came through, and they had a new skimmer delivered that same day and had a pool cleaners come out finish cleaning. They helped get streaming services to work, and never made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. No matter how many time I texted them haha.The house was perfect for toddlers because there was no small “nic-nicks” for them to grab or break. This is a very minimalistic house with all the comforts of home you will need. It’s close to the beach and restaurants but in a quiet gated neighborhood. So, when you need to get away from the beach crowd the house is only a 5 minute golf cart ride away! I will book again when we return to Destin!We had a great time, and the house made it more comfortable for us! :)

Great house and location!

Our first time in Destin and this house and its location were perfect for our family. Owners were great and helpful and the house and amenities were perfect. We would definitely go back there again.

Wonderful place to visit!

Our family had an amazing time here, so nice to have all the amenities like a heated pool, golf cart as well as access to the playground, pickleball court etc. The house was well equipped with everything, and we would happily recommend to future guests! It was a short walk to the beach which was honestly the best beach we’ve ever seen!

Great Stay

Had a great time at this property. Liked it so much we tried to book another stay in February but they were booked. If you have toddler they have plenty of stuff to accommodate. We loved the private pool, and the golf cart is always a good time there. Thanks y’all!

Disappointing

The house was nice. There were cobwebs in the kitchen corners (we cleaned them). The mattress pad in the main level bedroom was filthy. We didn’t have hot water on Friday and Saturday morning. We had five girls that needed showers, we had laundry to do and dishes in the dishwasher. It did not get repaired before we left. I feel I should be compensated for these things because it did hinder the end of our trip. I don’t want to give a poor online review but I believe future guests should be aware of these issues.

Great communication and great clean house

This was all that it was said to be. Great communication with owner as well as home was clean and all that it was advertised. The golf cart made it very convenient as well as fun for the kiddos.

Great place for family vacation!

This property is nice and in a great quiet neighborhood. Easy access to a lot of places and the beach and parking are easy to get to with the golf cart. Wonderful people and great property! Highly recommend!

Great Family Home

Location was excellent and the home was perfect for our family as every one had space and privacy. The Six-Seater golf cart was awesome and made for easy parking at the beach and restaurants. The pool and pool area offered great sun plus shade for those looking for less sun. The kitchen was well equiped. The hosts were very attentive.

Grates Place Review

Outside of the floors not being fully cleaned, the property itself was an A+. The property owners were great at communicating with us. The house was stocked with everything we could need and then some, including beach/pool toys and chairs, linens, towels, and fully stocked kitchen and appliances, bikes, golf cart, etc. It's a quick golf cart ride to the beach and house is close to nearby restaurants/grocery. We would definitely stay again.

Best Spring Break experience!

We loved everything about our stay. The owner was fantastic to work with and easy to communicate with. The house had more than we expected. This vacation was the best we've had and was the perfect way to celebrate our son's birthday. We can't wait to book again :)

Family spring break

This property was great. Large enough for everyone in our family to spread out. We loved playing board games and sitting watching movies at night. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. Having the golf cart available to go to the beaches, stores and around the complex was a real help. We loved our stay here.

Family Vacation

Had a wonderful time, kids loved swimming in the heated pool and loved night time swims with the lights. The golf cart was an added bonus for going to the nearby beach and kids loved riding in it! Loads of room and multiple bathrooms a plus! Great gated neighborhood, felt so safe. Communication with owners via text and being able to check in early was so very nice for me to get ready for the family's arrival. Would definitely stay here again!

Best trip to Destin yet

The hosts were always available to communicate with and we were able to check in a little earlier since the property was ready early. Instructions were very helpful and the check-out process was minimal which was great compared to other places we’ve stayed at with a long extensive check out list. The heated pool was a major plus as well since we came in mid-November and having the bikes, golf cart, and gated community amenities was also a major plus. We would recommend staying here to anyone and we will book a stay here again!

Great house and great location

The house is well maintained and the host,Shannon, is great at communicating on a timely basis for any issues or questions. Location to beach, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.is outstanding. The amenities in Destiny East were great- pool, gym, pickleball court. Lastly, the golf cart was a fun and useful addition making getting around very simple.

Great vacation

Our family had a wonderful vacation in Destin. The house is an excellent location and the golf cart makes trips to the beach very convenient and fun! The pool is great for kids. Shannon communicates everything in a timely manner and provides any updates when needed. The house is set up well for multiple generations and well suited for our group of 7. We hope to return next summer.

Destiny East vacation

Overall, another great family vacation. House is in a very nice community. This is a Very nice and well equipped Large house with plenty of space for our group of 10. We normally stay on the beach but this time we switched it up because of the nice private pool in backyard. Wonderful pool and patio and a lot of fun for the 4 kids especially. The golf cart was a real life saver for the group too and made trips to the beach fun and easy. We also used it for area restaurants. Beautiful area and the beach, water and weather were picture perfect. Shannon, the owner was very easy to work with on questions and a few problems we had during the week. Only gripe is nothing to do with the property but an over zealous neighborhood security guard that gave my son in a law a $50 ticket on his company truck he drove his family down with nightly for the first 4 nights! We found out they don’t like trucks that have a company logo on the door!! Most ridiculous reason for a ticket I’ve ever heard of and not sure I still understand. When we covered the logo up with some tape and paper they didn’t ticket the truck. Shannon the owner took care of things with this money grabbing BS and it didn’t effect our vacation. Family had a ton of fun overall and look forward to next years Destin vacation!!

Fabulous home in a great location

This house was perfect for clan of 10. It was three generations. There was plenty of room to spread out and everybody had their own space. We had four babies, 2 and under. Shannon had purchased two pack and plays and a highchair prior to our trip. It definitely helped with our packing. We put both families with the small children upstairs and grandma and grandpa stayed on the main level. We thought the home was very well laid out and you couldn’t hear much unless you went into the main family room, where there wasn’t a lot of soundproof. The home was very very clean when we arrived and check-in was perfect. Shannon‘s communication before our trip, and addressing any questions we had was almost immediate. The golf cart was so fun! Each family would take it out for a short drive during the day. We also rode the bikes which were in great condition. There’s a huge bag of sand toys available as well as many floats in the garage. The kitchen was well stocked , and there were a few extras like additional toilet paper, dish soap, and coffee.
