Motel 6 is nicer at less than half the cost
Where do I start? The access instructions were missing a step and I could not get in the property when I arrived. Then I realized the picture did not match the listing, so panicked thinking I was at the wrong property, but after triple checking everything It was the correct property... I called the service number and the person I spoke to didn't even know what the property was supposed to look like, didn't know what kind of access keypad was on the door, or how to make it work. She was to call me back. While waiting for the callback, I figured it out on my own and got access. The property around the unit is trashy - garbage all around, a loose dog, stray cats. The neighbors play loud music, and during the day there is a dog next door that barks relentlessly. The blinds on the front window (ground floor), have a huge gap on each side so anyone walking by can see you in bed (if you have the light on) or in the bathroom if you don't intentionally close that door. I did not feel safe nor comfortable during my stay. The unit is ONE big room with vinyl flooring, very small area for the price and cleaning fee. There are several pillows on the bed, but all are 1-2" thick crappy pillows so my neck was hurting all week. There is a duvet on the bed, but the only additional blanket is a tiny decorative wool throw. The furnace fan blows directly onto the bed and never turns off. I turned all the nest settings to OFF and still the fan kept noisily blowing non-stop. I emailed for help and the reply was a youtube link on how to operate the Nest thermostat - not helpful.
And FINALLY, and maybe the biggest issue, when I returned to the property on the final night of my stay the access code would not work. Turns out it wasn't working because THE DOOR WAS ALREADY UNLOCKED. I was assured NO ONE else had been in the property, so I must have left it unlocked - I am all about security and there is no way I would leave without locking this place. Well, the next morning I noticed an invoice on the kitchen counter dated for the day prior. They had sent someone to look at the furnace without telling me, and that person must have left the unit unlocked. I'm lucky nothing was stolen, and my work laptop was in the unit. HUGE security fail.
You are better off at a motel 6, and will likely get a better night's sleep. I can't believe they charge over $160 a night for this sub-par room. Absolutely over-priced.
