Welcome to Cowsita Too! Your home base to exploring the Sierra Nevadas! Almost exactly centered in California, it is just a 3 1/2 hour drive to either San Francisco, Napa Wine Country or even Los Angeles! California coastal attractions, such as Monterey, Santa Cruz, Pismo Beach and San Simeon are only a 2 to 3 hour drive! Locally, just a 5 minute drive to Millerton Lake Recreation area, and near to numerous other Sierra lakes and rivers. If you enjoy fishing or golfing, there’s plenty available within 5 to 15 minutes drive!

Our historical 18 acre ranch offers you refuge and relaxation in your private guest casita, with panoramic views right outside your back door and private covered patio. And if that’s not enough for your outdoor enjoyment, you can while away the hours in our enchanting eucalyptus grove, where you can rest among the birds, and rustling leaves in a second story treehouse, or swing in a hammock beneath the shady trees! When you’ve had enough rest, you can enjoy our game court with a low key game of horseshoes, shuffleboard, or cornhole!

Your chef's kitchen, is fully stocked with pantry items such as spices, oils and a few light breakfast and snack items to get you through the start of your stay. It is well organized and sparkling clean, with professional grade cookware, and everything you need to cook to your hearts content!

A spacious and comfortable hybrid king size bed, covered with luxury linens, that have been sanitized for your comfort, will bring you a restful night sleep. Numerous built in closets and drawers for all your belongings. and a cozy reading chair that folds out into a chaise, or an additional twin size bed for a single guest.

Your bathroom is spacious and sanitary, and stocked with shower toiletries, plush towels and plenty of toilet tissue. A convenient stacking laundry unit right in the hallway, can launder all your clothing before you go home.

Your livingroom is spacious, modern and cozy, with a 40" app-based TV. French doors from either your livingroom or bedroom lead out onto your private patio, where you can barbeque, and catch awe inspiring views of the unique plateau backdrop, where sunsets never cease to enchant. And of course, the neighboring chickens and surrounding grazing cattle seem to bring peace and relaxation just by being present.

Convenient, quiet and relaxing

We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties and this one was exceptional! Great design and space utilization. Spacious. Spotless, every possible thing you could need, comfortable bed, washer and dryer, amenities, chairs to borrow, big fridge and freezer, snacks, coffee and the chickens and cat were a bonus! Fresh eggs for breakfast! Awesome. We lacked for nothing. BBQ, viewing tower, shuffleboard and horseshoes. Location excellent for Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Hosts were extremely nice and available. Highest recommendation!

Wonderful Place Wonderful Hosts

The place is very nice and inviting. It is furnished well there is plenty of lighting and windows, (I hate when these places are like a cavern). The place offers great privacy, and all amenities you would need for a short or long stay. The property is well maintained everything looks new. The casita my partner and I stayed in was adjacent to the chicken coop which was very funny to watch, but you will not have to worry about noise or smell at all if that is of any concern. The living room windows face the sunset which is very beautiful to watch from the area in Friant. It was a quiet and peaceful stay with easy and quick communication with the gracious hosts. Easily one of the nicest Vrbo's that I have stayed at. Thank you again Jami.

Country living at its finest!

Jamie’s California Cowsita has been our favorite vacation rental to date! The stunning sunsets overlooking the Sierra Nevada foothills every evening were a highlight, but the casita itself is equally stunning. The country decor is warm and inviting, making it a perfect home away from home. We had everything we needed for our month-long stay. We chose this VRBO because of its proximity to Yosemite & Sequoia National Parks and Kings Canyon. Additionally, all the stores you could possibly need are within 20 minutes. Lake Millerton & Woodward Park are local spots you must see! Jamie is an exceptional host! She checked in on us before our stay, responded quickly to any questions, and the fresh eggs and potatoes from her & Ed were delicious. If you’re looking for a place near the national parks or just a relaxing getaway, Jamie’s place is perfect!

A Total Hit!

Can't say enough great things about our "CowLifornia Casita Too" experience from beginning to end. The hosts clearly communicate pre, during and post reservation to ensure their guests needs are met. After 4 hours of driving I was so thrilled to be welcomed by soft music playing in a spotless, well decorated and organized home away from home. So much thought has gone into providing everything you could need and more including guidebooks, user manual, laundry supplies, array of snacks, bottled water to kick start your stay and farm fresh eggs! What fun my granddaughter and I had playing the yard games available including shuffleboard, bean bag toss, lawn darts and horseshoes. We will definitely and happily book again in the future!

A Piece of Heaven

The communication with the host before, during and after our stay was excellent. The moment we walked into the Cowsita we were just blown away. The place was well thought out in design and the cleanliness was excellent. We immediately felt welcome as the host knew we were celebrating our anniversary. They took the time to do a little something extra for our stay. The Cowsita was stocked with all the things you would need for your stay. They even had a few items to get you started until you could get to the grocery store ie toilet paper, paper towels, coffee. The amazing communication on places to eat and see were spot on. The sunsets were just amazing to see from the porch at night. The hosts themselves were just so nice to meet. They don't bother you unless you want to ask them questions. This place was completely private. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We would definitely stay again if we go back to area. Thank you Ed and Jamie for the most amazing and relaxing anniversary/vacation ever.

Hospitality overload

We stayed at this property while visiting California and the national parks. It was the perfect location and the casita is amazing. We had everything we needed and Jami thought of things to have available that I would never expect. I can’t explain how much Jami helped us on our trip. She was readily available with questions and even came and sat down with us to talk. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Impressive

I usually choose hotels for trips but decided to try Vrbo for the first time because the location of this casita was great. Glad I did. It was stocked with things so we didn't even need to buy groceries during our short stay. My kid loved the yard games and the cat who came to greet us every time she saw us. The host Jami is very thoughtful and accommodating, always trying to make her guests satisfied.

Millerton Lake Eagle Tour

My husband is a photographer and we came to go to the Millerton Lake Eagle Tour. The location was perfect, the fact that we got to sneak in a trip to Yosemite and Sequoia was just icing on the cake. This place was clean, comfortable and this host should be in the Above and Beyond Category. There were little touches that made us feel special and made our stay extra nice. I have been to a lot of places, I would come back here. This place is a 5 Star plus!!!!

Excellent stay near Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia

Everything was as anticipated. We had all the basics to make ourselves at home and lots of small touches that made our stay hassle-free. Location is outstanding and we were able to go to Yosemite, KC, Sequoia, Pinnacles NPs and Monterey all which were all within at most a 2 hour drive. Rent this property and you won't be disappointed.

Amazing

This is an ideal location to stay. If you were looking to go to Yosemite and Sequoia parks, Jami and Ed are the perfect host and along with their cute cat that would visit us every day whether you’re looking to explore the parks in California or just want to get away for a relaxing weekend this is the perfect place. Nothing beats the sunsets.

Peaceful on the ranch

Down on the ranch complete with fresh eggs from the chickens next door! I wish all VRBO’s were as well stocked and beautiful! New up to date furnishings and appliances, very very clean. Lots of fun extras, like our own patio with party lights to watch the beautiful sunsets. Bit of a drive but worth it!

Very well equipped & comfortable long-term stay

My husband and I stayed at Jami and Ed's casita for 2 months this summer, and it exceeded our expectations. I don't think we've ever stayed at a rental that had everything you needed. The bed is also the most comfortable bed, we slept so deeply here. We are on a road trip around the country while working remotely, so the fact that this home had everything we could possibly need while traveling made our stay that much more enjoyable and comfortable. Jami is an excellent host who is kind, responsive, and reachable via text should you need anything, but also gives you plenty of privacy to do your thing. Coming from NYC the location felt a touch remote to us (i.e., nothing within walking distance), but Fresno is a short drive away for shopping, movies, and restaurants. We spent most our weekends heading to the many national parks, mountains, and coast which is what drove us to this central location--all of this natural beauty is around 1-3 hours away by car. Highly recommend staying here and if we find ourselves in the area again we would return in a heartbeat! Thank you Jami!

Comfortable extended stay in our spacious, beautiful casita!

Thank you! We loved spending 3 months in this casita with our dog. Good proximity to Fresno for a short term work assignment and great work from home space as well (good internet!). Our dog enjoyed the spacious backyard! This is really a beautiful, special spot with unbelievable sunsets almost every night, a lovely "wine deck" surrounded by eucalyptus, and so close to favorite spots such as Lost Lakes for daily walks, Woodward Park for longer outings, and the South entrance to Yosemite! We took advantage of the proximity and did the one hour drive to Yosemite several times. We also enjoyed Kings & Sequoia as well as lots of exploring in nearby Clovis. Our favorite brewery was Crow & Wolf! Thanks so much again to our hosts for an excellent stay. We'll miss this Friant oasis!

Sunrise and Sunset magic

I love a place where I can see both the sunrise and sunset and I definitely saw each here on the lovely deck. I loved my interactions with Jami. She is so kind and thoughtful. The place is exactly, if not nicer than the pictures. Clean, comfortable and well-furnished. I especially loved how the kitchen is so nicely stocked. I would recommend it in a heart beat.

AMAZING Casita for Our Out-of-Town Swim Meet

Our stay at the Cowlifornia Casita was so amazing!!! What a beautiful view we got to enjoy every day! It was the perfect distance for getting back and forth to our championship swim meet in Clovis. We were close to all of our shopping needs and any daily site-seeing (Nat'l Parks, Fresno, Clovis) that we had planned! Our casita was so clean, comfortable, safe, and relaxing! It had everything we needed, and more, to make us feel right at home! Thank you Jami for such a memorable trip. We will definitely be back again next year!!!

Home Away From Home

Our stay was beyond amazing. We were blown away by not only the epic views, but Jami is such an incredible host. She made sure we were comfortable and gave us detailed instructions as to where everything was and how to use the appliances. This place has more than you can ask for, the washing machine and dryer came in clutch! The location is prime, it's in the center of all the surrounding national parks! We will definitely stay here again!

Home away from home

If you are looking for a nice, quiet, comfortable place to stay this is your place. The bed was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the kitchen and the appliances. Jami made sure I felt welcomed and that I had everything I could need to have a relaxing stay! If I am ever back in Fresno, I would want to stay here again.

Home away from home

We stayed here for three months a couldn’t have been happier. Jami’s casita was beautiful and had everything we needed. From the time we arrived, Jami made it feel very welcoming. The large bed was so comfortable and the thoughtful decorations really made us feel at home. We really appreciate the time and energy Jami spent making our stay enjoyable.
