Wonderful trip!

We certainly enjoyed our stay! It was clean, cozy, and a central location to all the things we wanted to do while there. The cabin was well stocked with basic necessities, which was really nice. The deck on the water was of course our favorite spot as it was beautiful, relaxing, and perfect to sit out and enjoy meals together. We saw wildlife on the riverbank and enjoyed late evening strolls while soaking up the beautiful view and sounds of the river! We definitely hope to be back soon!!

Amazing River Retreat

This was our first time in this home and WOW. Very spacious and comfortable. The back porch was amazing and we spent several evening out there as a family. The boat ramp was nearby so we had some lake days and with the river literally in the back yard we also had access to blue ribbon trout fishing water. Communication with the owner was easy and they were so accommodating. Wish I could give this place 10 stars. We will be back!

Great River Cottage

Really enjoyed our stay here while visiting family in Bluff City. A great place for family to gather. Enjoyed watching the fishing guides come by , actually saw them catch fish from the back porch.

Cute little cabin

The cabin is super cute and comfortable. The owner was super nice and even reached out to check on us because she heard of a swimmer rescue nearby. Hubby and I will definitely be back.

My wife and I are very impressed with this property. It was extremely well appointed, very clean and located on the S. Holstein. We have another stay scheduled and are looking at doing a third. Best VRBO I have ever rented.

Heavenly River View

Enjoyed our stay. Spent a week at this cottage, cooked Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen was equipped with everthing we needed as far as pots and utensils. We felt like home. Bed was very comfortable, couch was as well. The bathroom is spacious allowing us ladies to spread out all our stuff! Neighborhood was quiet and the river view was wonderful. There is a fire box on the patio that made the ambience even better. Met owners who were lovely people. Highly recommend we made great memories.

Amazing place to stay!

We absolutely loved the riverside house for our yearly fly fishing trip. It has everything you would need to have a relaxing time. The back porch gets most of our time with the views and the vibes!!! Would highly recommend it and we will be coming back. Lottie is a gracious host and always responds promptly if we needed anything. Cheers

Perfect Retreat

I understand why it is called riverview retreat, that is exactly what it was. The online pictures of this property were so inviting, but the actual home was much more welcoming. Immaculate! Information pages were easily understood. We are looking forward to returning! Soon!

Could not have been nicer

We had a wonderful time and the house was immaculate with many nice touches. It was obvious the owner had put a great deal of thought into furnishing the home.The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were right on the river and we could walk out the door into the river. Fishing in front of the house was excellent.

Wonderful stay on the river

The property on the river was everything we expected and more. The house was clean, very well kept, and welcoming. The view from the deck is just stunning. We loved to share a meal there and listen to the river. Yes, I caught a few fish, but that experience was trumped by the tranquility of being on the river. The neighborhood was very nice for an evening walk, and we quickly made friends with a neighbor's labrador retriever. All in all, this property is everything we wanted and expected. We hope to return next year and enjoy it all over again!

Location, Location, Location

This was my second visit in 30 days. A friend and I went fly fishing for 3 days. It was his first experience with a VRBO and he was very appreciative of the location on the river and to the several spots we fished. The hoe was the same as I found it in my first visit. Great furnishings, fully stocked kitchen, very clean. We were able to prepare out meals rather than take twenty to thirty minutes into Bristol or Johnson City. My wife and I are headed back for another stay at the end of May.

Love the Riverview Retreat!

The Riverview retreat is nestled right on the South Holston river for fishing from the back porch! While I am not a fisher-person, I still appreciated watching float and guide trips drift by while I sat on the back porch with coffee and a book. The pictures just do not do this picturesque cabin justice. I visited the Riverview Retreat in the early winter. I highly recommend a cold getaway nestled under a cozy blanket next to the Christmas tree, a warm beverage, and a holiday movie on the tv. The owner, Lottie, is great! So easy to work with. Very communicative, accommodating, and getting the key was easy. Check out the Riverview Retreat! I highly recommend. And follow on Instagram for more NE Tennessee beauty.

Home away from home

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. House was stocked with everything we needed and more. We had a small issue when we arrived but Lottie responding quickly and fixed the issue. Will stay again really soon!

Awesome

The few days having enjoying such a wonderful cottage and very well put together interior we couldn’t find anything to be negative about. Our wishes were at one point to have a better TV rather than a streaming TV. Trying to find a new station that is in real time was very difficult, but we dealt with it. And our final wish is that in the future the telephone reception is much better, there’s nothing there to work with. I was constantly looking for an increase in the amount of bars on my phone to speak to my office that eventually became an exercise in fertility. This is my only negative thought about this beautiful cottage.

Very comfortable and inviting

Very relaxing with South Holston River and fire pit at night enjoying glass of wine every evening. Enjoyed the sounds of nature and geese every morning eating breakfast on the balcony with the sound of the river. We loved this place. We will definitely be back again.

Excellent Staycation

My sister and I stayed here as a halfway point for both of us to hang out and celebrate her birthday. We arrived to find a Happy Birthday sign in the front yard, as well as a birthday-themed table runner and cake stand with a beautiful little birthday cake on it waiting for us in the kitchen! Not only were these initial impressions far above our expectations, but the property is either exactly as it is listed - or BETTER. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Lots of space to unpack, spread out, and get comfortable. The kitchen is super well-equipped. Truly! And as someone who has had to travel quite a bit with a child in a competitive sport, this was a wonderful surprise. Dish soap, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, decent knives, cutting boards, etc. It's all there! The bathroom is clean, well-equipped, and has everything you need, including extra towels for messes should you need them. The living area was spacious and consisted of a game area as well as a television and seating area, perfect for families who have a variety of ways of passing time together to spread out and enjoy the water that is just outside the windowed space. The back deck is right at the river's edge. We were there while it was really cold (it snowed two of the days!), so we used the fire pit and the snuggly blankets provided in order to enjoy our time on the deck. A highlight of our stay was taking our coffee out to sit and watch/listen to the water. Our first night there, we discovered that the HDMI cable that connects the DVD player to the television was missing, so I called the property manager the next morning and she brought one over for us. We loved hanging out and watching movies at night, so that was super awesome considering someone before us likely took the cable by mistake and they had no way of knowing it had gone missing before we arrived. The house is on a small, residential street right beside the river, so it was very quiet and calm for our afternoon walk when the weather allowed. We were thrilled with our visit and are already talking about our next 'sister staycation' there. We aren't into fishing, but this property is probably even more amazing for those travelers who are! We loved it here!
