Unit #407 is an ocean-front, comfortable, stylish, eco-conscious escape that features the newest technologies and conveniences for today's travelers.
The condo is an absolute oceanfront condo with a lanai (balcony) that offers beautiful ocean views. Both bedroom & living room face the beautiful Pacific Ocean, and the condo includes cable tv, and high-speed internet/wi-fi.

This top-floor getaway has too many upgrades to mention, but most recently they include new stainless steel appliances, bathroom-assist grab bars, and luxury flooring.

Hale Kona Kai is a small, boutique complex that features an oceanside, heated saltwater pool, elevator access, community BBQ, and on-site management. Located on a quiet side street, you are just a few blocks from shops, restaurants, and Honl's sand beach.
All condos are non-smoking. Hale Kona Kai is a non-smoking facility. Each floor has coin-operated washers and dryers for your use. Each condo does not have its own washer/dryer.

Please note: The central air conditioning system is currently down due to a replacement project. Site management has projected completion by October 20, 2025, pending shipping of final parts. In the meantime, each unit is equipped with a portable air-conditioning unit in the bedroom for guest comfort.

Enjoyed staying in Kailua-Kona

Great experience. The air conditioning did not work most of the time, but was eventually corrected. A bit pricey, but what isn't expensive in Hawaii?

Stunning view and easy walk to shops and restaurants

We loved our stay here! The view on the balcony was our favorite part and we loved being able to easily walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. There isn’t much sandy, swim able beach on this part of Kona, so if that’s what you’re looking for I’d look elsewhere. But there is a nice little beach within walking distance that is great to lay out and get your feet wet. The pool is also a great option right next to the ocean!

Convenient clean oceanfront condo!

Friendly staff, great location, with all the amenities of home. Easy walk to town, farmers market, local attractions, ocean views, spectacular sunsets, and access to sandy beaches. Yet secluded and restful. Very satisfied! We will return again.

Small and Perfect

Such a great little space 😍 I fell in love the minute I walked into this cute oceanfront complex it is nice and quiet with the loudest sound coming from the big blue ocean 🌊 this unit is nicely appointed with all the little things you need to feel comfortable. Perfect unit for a couple who does not want to deal with all the chaos that is involved when staying at a hotel or resort. Just a simple comfortable space to spend your time drinking coffee or wine while enjoying the breathtaking view! Super clean and the most comfy bed and pillows ever. I actually messaged the owner to send me the link to purchase the pillows because they are heaven. I was traveling for work so it was a bonus to have a desk to work from that overlooked the ocean and the complex is walking distance to many amenities and public beach access🏖 Book a stay you will not be disappointed 🤗

Needs a little more work...

The property location is wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. I wish that there had been luggage racks because the only place to put your luggage was on the floor. All of the cupboards and closets were cluttered with lots and lots of stuff. I wanted to spray down the kitchen counters and the only thing that I could find was Windex. I questioned what kind of cleaners had been used to clean if I could not find any. ??? The towels were all kind of damp and some had rust stains on them. Our biggest problem was the lack of a decent coffee maker. They had a fancy "coffee station" but even that only had a five cup drip coffee maker and strangely it did not have a warmer. We looked around and found a disgusting 12 cup coffee maker with a used filter in it. It was so gross that I could not use it. We used the burner to put the five cup carafe on. Most adults drink drip coffee in the morning, so a decent clean drip coffee pot should be a given. The knives were all very dull as well. Could not cut up fruit from the market. This condo has potential and I understand that they have already made improvements, but as someone who also has rentals. ..my recommendation is that the clutter must go, including all the half used toiletries. The cupboards have way too much unmatched dishes and such and should be replaced. The cutting board was stained and I didn't use it. We left one day early because I was so unhappy there. Some positive things...comfy bed, gorgeous view, nice linens, fresh paint and new floors. It has potential to be a very nice rental. My suggestions are quick and easy fixes. I actually would recommend.

This was a lovely one-bedroom. The kitchen was well equiped and clean. Garbage and recycling was close. The lanai had a great view of the water, pool, and the cruise ships. The property manager commuicated from the time of my reservation and brought us a second beach chair when I reached out. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property.

Only The Best‼

Such an amazingly wonderful 3 night day,husband & I enjoyed at this lovely, updated waterfront-condo on the lovely island of Kona. Ocean waves lulled us to sleep. It was very comfortable, exceptionally clean and fully furnished. Ishmael and Dawn were perfect hosts, and they were quick to respond to our communication - this is a place where we definitely plan to return!!

What a Great Place to the Beauty of Hawaii

This is a great place. It is just the right size for people that want to be outside and exploring throughout the day. We loved coffee on the deck watching whales. We used the pool, and we loved the short walk to restaurants. I would definitely return.

Great place. Best location ever! Gorgeous view of the ocean from the lanaii! Our only complaint is that cold air kept pouring out of a vent in the bedroom that could not be closed regardless of the air-conditioning setting (even "off"), and it froze us. But that glitch was easily ignored due to the fantastic location and amazing view. And the living area did not get freezing cold like the bedroom.

Great property, great location, great vacation acessories

The property is clean and very well kitted out for a vacation stay. The lounge was very comfortable and the kitchen is modern and well equipped. The beach chairs, beach umbrella and cooler were a welcome surprise. The property is in a great location for bars and restaurants and other facilities. We would highly recommend this property.

Great location, great lanai view

The location was wonderful, walking distance to great restaurants and entertainment. The view was a beautiful view of the waves crashing on rocks and open sea. The condo furnishings are a bit dated, but the refurbished kitchen appliances and flooring are nice. Only problem we had is that the kitchen sink’s water faucet pressure would fade down to nothing at times and since the laundry room is next door, someone got in after hours and the machines were loud one night (maybe overloaded and thumping like off balance). Never did see anyone in the condo’s office. But overall, worth it.
