This is an isolated 1920’s Montana homesteader log cabin on 10 private acres with fishing creek in the middle of protected wilderness. It's is the perfect getaway if you're looking for privacy and quiet. Spend your evenings sitting next to the fire pit and fish for trout in the crystal clear creek in your yard. For those that want to fish the Swan River, IT'S A 60 SECOND WALK. The Swan River is one Montana's most beautiful rivers and home to native trout species. Please get a fishing license and educate yourself which fish are keepers:) This is the right choice that travelers that want privacy, no crowds and no neighbors breathing down your neck. This is vintage Western Montana with breathtaking scenery, clean mountain air, natural spring water and a large outdoor fire pit.

This cabin is conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Bigfork and less than an hour from Glacier National Park and Kalispell airport. Easy access to some of Montana's best hiking, fishing, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, any & all outdoor sports. This is NOT the right place if you want a location where you can walk to bars, stores and restaurants...you are pretty remote...the closest "real" grocery store is 12 miles away.

The cabin is stocked with cookware, utensils, spices, cooking oils, seasonings and a large outdoor charcoal grill for BBQing. All the water in the house is pumped directly from the spring under the cabin... The most AMAZING NATURAL DRINKING WATER ! The previous owners had a five-star rating and my goal is to maintain it and will do what I can to make sure you have the best vacation.

Please be aware that this is an old cabin in the middle of the forest. It’s perfect for someone that wants that vibe and feel. Critters, birds and bugs are your neighbors:)

Wonderful cabin in a quiet peaceful location

We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. It was clean and relaxing and Jason was very responsive on any questions we had. Would definitely stay here and and recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful location but not to far from everything Montana has to offer

Wonderful cabin in the woods

Had a little getaway with my hubby and this place did NOT disappoint. Absolutely beautiful, we loved being away from “it all” for a few days. Cabin has everything you need and is nice and clean. Kitchen was well stoked, we did almost all our cooking there with no issues. Thanks for sharing with us!

5 Stars!- Perfect getaway at Moose Camp!

We had an incredible stay at Moose Camp! The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and with all the essentials. The directions were clear, and communication with the host was spot on, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat to truly get away from it all, this is the perfect spot. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommend!

Real Montana perfection

True peace and quiet. Remote but within reasonable access to basic necessities. We loved exploring all the lakes and fishing spots and the disconnectedness is a gift.

There are no other words then AMAZING

Our stay at the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Remote enough to feel secluded but close enough to a well stocked store (Condon Gas Station was more than enough for our needs) the hour drive to Glacier was well worth it. The pond in the back was perfect for the kids to play around in. We loved everything about this property and when we make it back to Montana this will be the first place we attempt to stay. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin!

Family Vacation

My family and I drove from Texas to stay here. It was a wonderful change of scenery for us and a great place to unplug from city life. Beautiful area. Jason was awesome and helped with any questions we had. Everything was exactly as listed. We got to the cabin late at night so we couldn't see signs very well, but the directions provided told us exactly where to go. My family and I made some good memories here and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Wilderness Cabin

Loved staying so much, and didn't want to leave. This cabin is located on a beautiful piece of land. We really enjoyed rowing around on the canoe and cooking out with the grill. A little over an hour drive to Glacier National Park, but the ride has beautiful views of Swan lake and the 360° mountains. The house is comfortable and clean with plenty of equipment in the kitchen to cook with. We saw loads of wildlife, and enjoyed several walks around the property. Totally recommend for those who want to get away from it all.

Unique diamond in the ruff

We had a wonderful time at the cabin, the property and atmosphere was serene. The additional kitchen amenities were amazing especially being the middle of no where. It made it feel like home. You can tell the owner really cares about the property and your experience. ***Don’t underestimate the presence of bears***

Living the good life

It was wonderful!! The yard was bigger than I had thought. So much space for our pup to run. The cabin was just right. Everything was clean with an over abundance of dishes to use and spices of every kind. Loved having a fireplace that actually burns wood, and it started right up. The bedroom was really spacious with a real comfortable bed. It was everything we had hoped for. Deer walked right by the windows several times. That was a bonus. Real quiet--nice. We hope to go again if time allows. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin.:)

Rustic cabin retreat

This cabin provided me and my family with an authentic and rustic Montana getaway in a remote wilderness area. We loved our time at the cabin and communication with Jason, the host, was extremely good. If you want something a little more off the grid to truly disconnect this is a great option. Internet works extremely well so that option exists if needed. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need and it was not difficult finding the location. Big Fork, MT is about 30 minutes away for supplies. I highly recommend this Cabin if you are interested in a staying in a an authentic log cabin from a different era with some modern amenities.

Log Cabin Review

Overall the property is as listed. It was very remote and quiet with plenty of firewood. The cabin was roomy, comfortable and generally well appointed with kitchen items, dishes, glassware, towels etc. The beds were quite comfortable with plenty of blankets and linens. Providing bear spray was nice, thankfully we did not need it. Some additional fans would be nice to help circulate air on hot days. We were bummed that the advertised canoe had a hole in the bottom and could not be used on the pond. I would also suggest some new outdoor chairs. The adirondack chairs by the fire pit were too small and uncomfortable for adults. We did have a great time at the cabin and definitely enjoyed our trip to Montana!

True Montana Wilderness

Overall, we enjoyed this property and cabin very much! If you are looking to get away from it all and be in the Montana wilderness, then this is the cabin for you! We always had our bear spray near us, as we had two bear sightings (in the river) and a mountain lion sighting (across the creek). Jason, the host, was easy to communicate with and was very friendly. We would have given this a 5 star rating, but there were a few things that really could use a good cleaning (bathrooms, area rugs, and laundry area). Also, the supplies weren't very well stocked (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dish soap, hand soap, etc...). While we expect to bring some of these things with us, we also expected the cabin to have more of a supply for the visitors. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Feel like you're in the Wilderness with Comfort!--magical experience

The cabin is great. Cozy and very comfortable, charming and had everything we needed. Could have slept 2 families easy. We cooked great meals, cozied up warm to movies in the fireplace den, and slept great. One thing: the water is amazing (so pure). The creekside and forest setting is beautiful. Cross country skiing and snow-shoeing out the back door and all around on adjacent public land. Even ice skated on the frozen creek. Night-sky stars were spectacular. In the summertime, the fire-pit and adirondack chairs next to the creek would be amazing. The setting is isolated but still very close to great stuff in Bigfork and a great market in Condon. The kids loved their time there (incl. the bunk beds) and so did we. My wife and I work with and spend a lot of time in nature, so all that this cabin and setting offers really resonated with us. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Midwesterner who moved to California in 2000 and although I enjoy the ocean, I love escaping to the cabin and hosting friends. If I were living at the cabin full time, my wine bill may be larger than my mortgage. I love to hear the stories that people enjoy the cabin and that it was a place that provided special memories.

This place is magical and I told my realtor to make an offer before I even walked into the cabin. The 2.5 mile drive in from the main road was nothing but wilderness on both sides. It's so isolated and quiet that you can't help but aside the stresses of life when you're there.
