Lakehouse on Whitesand Lake

Our charming lake house is situated on beautiful White Sand Lake and is perfect for either one or two families to share. We are located in a neighborhood setting in the heart of town. The tree-covered property has 100 feet of shoreline, a dock and a boat lift. This is one of few lakes located in within the city limits of Baxter and has GREAT FISHING. This means you are only minutes away from restaurants and shopping while enjoying the quiet of a private lake. If you are looking to avoid the crowds and enjoy a family get-away that is quiet, fun, and private-- this is it! As our neighbors are close by, you may want to look elsewhere if you are hoping to have a large-get-together as parties are strictly not allowed. However there is a pavilion with BBQ pits and picnic tables on a HUGE sandy beach at Whipple lake just up the street for even more recreational fun!

Family wedding

The house was perfect for our needs! We were in the area for a family wedding and had 9 adults stay and had room to spare! Was a great location and beautiful home. The property owners/managers were very quick to respond to any messages and gave us check in instructions in plenty of time for our stay. Thank you for making it so easy!

Grooms party

My son and his groomsmen enjoyed the house set up as well as the lake activities. It was the perfect location for them to have quality time together during a busy weekend.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great time at this lakehouse. Everything was just as described, and we enjoyed the lake as well as use of the grill and the view. As soon as we checked in the owners let us know the quickest way to contact them if we had any problems. We would consider renting again--so relaxing!

We had so much fun!

The cabin was very clean and well stocked with all we needed, including beach toys, water activities, and supplies for a fire. The beach was perfect for the kids. The neighborhood was quiet, and we enjoyed being on a smaller lake but close to lots of other activities. Breanne was so helpful, accommodating, and responsive. I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful lake and convenient location

Our family enjoyed our stay. The lake was clear with a nice sandy bottom. The variety of water toys were put to good use. The Fourth of July boat parade was fun. Nice to be so close to the shopping in Baxter.

My family of four moved to the Brainerd Lakes area three years ago and we fell in love with Minnesota. As Colorado natives my parents own this home to make it fun and easy for them to come to Minnesota to spend time with us. My husband and I manage it for them. They love being on the lake with their grandkids and we love spending time boating and fishing on White Sand, which is a quick drive from our home. I am available to help you with any needs you may have.

Varför värden valde detta boende

If you are looking to avoid the crowds and chaos on some of the bigger lake chains this lake is perfect. The biggest fish we have caught in Minnesota have been off of our dock. Towing around your kids without fear of colliding with other boats is so awesome. Directly across the lake is a very small channel with heron, and we see bald eagles and loons in the mornings as we kayak. There is room behind the garage stocked with lake toys, and we try to add more every summer. Bring your ice-fishing gear and enjoy frosty lake mornings from the back sun porch. The fall is gorgeous too! It is nice to be so close to Whipple beach for sand castle fun. All the grocery shopping is within a couple miles, so running quick errands is a breeze. We are close to everything!
