Newly built in 2020, Amidon Cabin is located on 156 wooded, mountain acres in Montgomery Center, Vermont. Just 7 miles from Jay Peak Resort! With luxury amenities like warm, radiant heated floors, heated toilet seats, an electric fireplace and game room, you may not want to leave! When you do venture outside you have a 3-sided porch to lounge on or sit by the fire pit. Montgomery Center is home to our famous covered bridges, swimming holes and miles of hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Jay Peak is just a short drive to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the East. Unlimited, FREE firewood and a quart of our own Vermont organic maple syrup with each stay. Long-term rentals available.

Ski Getaway

Snowboard trip

This property was phenomenal! Location was perfect, very remote and close to jay peak and close to grocery store. The house was extremely accommodating. Kitchen supplies couldn’t have been better. Sleeping supplies perfect. This place was amazing and the hosts have got it dialed. If you are going to jay peak I highly recommend this property.

Lovely Winter Retreat

This was our second visit and it was everything we look forward to all year. Great location with easy access to Jay and local restaurants. Danielle and James provide everything needed, from snow removal to their amazing maple syrup. We have already booked to return next year.

Immaculate, perfect, attention to detail.

This has been by far our favorite place as a vacation rental. I could not say anything negative about Amidon Cabin. It’s perfect and Danielle has thought of it ALL! I can not wait to stay again.

Beautiful mountain house

10/10 review! We stayed for 3 nights with 3 other couples for a snowboarding trip at Jay Peak and had an amazing time at this property. Communication with the owners was great, the house was super clean and had everything we needed! Heated floors and toilets were a major plus! & Just 10 minutes away from Jay Peak Resort, the property was safe and private we enjoyed not having any neighbors! & the maple syrup was so yummy! Highly recommend

Jay peak ski trip

The house is awesome, ten minutes to Jay and lives much bigger than a two bedroom. Really cool place that has 2 masters, a huge kitchen and 3 living rooms on different floors so it was great for our big group! Quiet, easy to get in and out of and close to pretty much everything in the area including some great restaurants. Thanks again for the hospitality! Cheers, Jesse D

Amazing modern farm house in the woods

We hit Jay Peak area for a New Years ski trip, to play in the coming snow. The forst day we were snowed in and had plenty to do around the property, x-country ski, snowman, snow angels, fires and games inside while being lazy on the couch. Amazing stay for a ski getaway

The house was absolutely amazing and described perfectly. We went with two families for a ski vacation and the house was very close to Jay Peak which made traveling in the winter weather less stressful. We would absolutely stay here again in the future!!

Wonderfully Cozy & Comfortable

My family and I came to stay over Christmas week hoping for (and luckily, receiving) a white Christmas for the first time with our kids. The home is very well appointed and modern, with cozy furnishings and a stocked kitchen which allowed us to spend the holidays in total comfort as we watched the snow and opened presents. Our host Danielle was very accommodating and was available on short notice to help with odds and ends after the storm hit. Their syrup is delicious and we ended up buying some extra for presents to go along with the free bottle they gave us for staying there. I can’t recommend Amidon Cabin enough if you just want to get away from it all and relax in style!

Beyond perfect

We were there for a week for our daughter’s wedding at Crofters green. Danielle attention to detail was the best we have very experienced at a rental. It was great not having to worry about our accommodations.

Our stay in April

This home is very comfortable, clean and bright. All the large windows are wonderful. Love the open 1st floor plan. Spent time on the sunny back deck enjoying the sun aling with the peace and quiet. Hop, skip and a jump to Jay Peak. Very relaxing and hope to return with family.

Eclipse Views

This was a wonderful house! I brought my family and friends out to watch the total eclipse and it was amazing. The house was very comfortable fully stocked with things that I would need for cooking. The girls enjoyed playing air hockey and playing on the deck thank you so much Danielle. This was an incredible vacation!

Beautiful new home in perfect distance from mountain and downtown Montgomery. Danielle was always a text away with a great recommendation. Hosts have thought of everything! Even a complimentary bottle of maple syrup! Will stay there again if go back!

Awesome Home is the woods on a Maple Farm

We stayed for a long ski weekend at Jay Mountain. The home was fanstatic. Neat, clean, well appointed, comfortable and on a maple farm. We hiked the woods and explored the farm and loved it. Danielle communicated well and often. Everything was s uper easy. We had a great time (inspite of the poor weather and lack of snow) and intend to rebook for next year. I have to give the propoerty SIX stars.

Great Family Retreat!

We spent a great few days here and it was a perfect place to prep for and relax after a day on Jay Peak. the basement has pingpong which is fun for all ages, and they have loads of fun games as well. The kitchen is well-appointed, all of the bed and bathrooms are very comfortable and EVERYONE enjoyed the heated toilet seats. :P Very quick shot to Jay, which was awesome (as well as an ER after a nasty crah on day 2 of boarding), and everyone slept great and we had an excellent time. The only thing I would warn about is the driveway - was super warm when we were there and as the ground thawed was VERY muddy - crushed gravel would be useful to make sure your non-4WD cars can get about but we were able to get out as needed. We are already looking forward to booking something here in summer or fall as we would love to take advantage of the beautiful porch and lawn. This place is very special. We can't wait to enjoy the hospitality again one day soon we hope!

Amazing Family Trip

We had such a wonderful time at Amidon Cabin. Everything in the home is so thoughtful - the kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed being so close to Jay Peak, the Belfry and Omakase. Danielle and James were super responsive and also took care of all snow removal. We plan to return next year!

James produces Organic Vermont Maple Syrup on the property adjacent to the Amidon Cabin. If you stay with us in the spring, you may even see him tending to the maple trees and sap lines during sugaring season!

We have a 9 year old son who loves the outdoors as much as we do.

Amidon Cabin was built as a summer residence for Danielle's father. The location of the house is 3 miles from the town of Montgomery Center, on a dirt road. You will not see neighbors at Amidon Cabin making relaxation easy during your stay. There is enough sleeping space for up to 8 people (1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 full sleeper sofa and 1 full modular sofa, 1 queen air mattress and 2 twin air mattresses). There is WIFI and 2 desks in the house, perfect for remote work or learning. The house is furnished with your comfort in mind and allows everyone to spread out and not feel crowded.
