Retired from military and other government service and now working harder than ever on my third career. Self-deprecatingly, we named our B&B after a near tragedy where thankfully no one was injured: my seaplane accident on June 8, 2019. My son Christian was seated to my right and Kristi was hanging from her lap belt in the seat behind him. We still fly. Seaplanes? Not so much:) Flying airplanes is our primary form of transportation to and from Port Angeles. You can watch the whole dumb thing by Googling "Crash Pad Crash Daniel Anderson".
Our primary interest in this property is our own time away from city life and shared experiences nearby in the park. The ability to enjoy such beauty hiking or skiing only 9 miles away while still having a beautiful comfortable home to retreat to is, for us, the greatest luxury. Truthfully, sharing the home is more about reducing my costs and sharing it with people who will appreciate it, than it is about making money.
I grew up in Shoreline. I'm the youngest of six. My dad was born in 1917 and served in WWII. We live half the time here and half the time in Des Moines, right under the traffic coming in and out of SEATAC.
I'm a member of Valley Fliers out of Auburn Airport. We have four IFR GPS certified airplanes; a C182Q, a C172M, a C172R & a PA-28-180. Although many of our flights are in the clouds, the cruising altitudes are low enough and the ambient temperatures high enough that there's normally no threat of accumulating ice.
I'm in love with Kristi and look forward to sharing all there is to see and do here with her and our progeny. I have two sons (21 & 18) and she has two sons and a daughter (late 20's).
All of us love all things fun including: hiking, skiing, biking, camping and sight seeing. We have factions who like to golf.
