Nice Property w/ Friendly Wildlife

It was me and my 2 sons. A great relaxing time. Boys had a great time at the lake and the pools/hot tubs. Just nice to get a way and enjoy time together.

Beautiful location

Overall it was a pleasant stay, beautiful view, and easy access to the pools and spa. The deer outside was a nice surprise and the villa is actually very large for a one bedroom one bath. Only negatives would be the low shower head and the water shut off on us the last day, but that was out of the owners control.

Very nice and Quiet

Beautiful property. Deer everywhere. The condo had everything I needed and was very nice. The Island is lovely and you do not have to worry about other people. It seems empty. Only a few people live there. Two days I saw no people, just deer. The lake is right out of the patio. No houses across the lake. just a state park.

Peaceful, relaxing getaway

What a great place for a nice relaxing getaway. For a one bedroom, the unit was actually larger than I expected. Great balcony view and two different pool area to relax. At times I felt like I was the only person there. The restaurant is right next door, but only open on the weekend, so the rest of the time you will need to make something in the kitchen, or drive into town. The only drawback was I wasn't able to get internet access from the room, but the health club right downstairs had wireless access for emergencies, and I wasn't there to sit on the computer anyway. I would definitely stay here again if I need a week to rest & recharge.

We can't wait to come back!

The view from the bedroom balcony is amazing. We watched cliff jumpers across the lake and enjoyed morning coffee with the clear, quiet lake. Our a/c quit cooling on our last night and Jennifer was very quick to respond but was unable to get it fixed. We stayed anyway because we came from so far away and she credited out account for the night. We understand that things happen sometimes but were grateful that she offered to credit the night. Overall, we would definitely come back to get away and relax.

Excellent Central Location

We enjoyed the condo. The location was central in the complex. It was next to the restaurant and close to elevator to go down to pools and parking. Parking space was close to elevator. Condo was very clean. Perhaps more instruction could be placed by remotes for tv but we figured it out eventually. The condo was nicely equipped. Liquid hand soap was provided by the lavatory in the bathroom but you might wish to bring your favorite body wash or soap. The fitness center and indoor pool/ hot tub are great amenity the complex offers. Staff does work to keep pools maintained well. This is not a new complex but offers much with panoramic views of Lake Travis.

Condo

The property was amazing and would definitely come back just for that. The condo also was nice however wasn’t the cleanest. The toilet was dirty and floors not swept. The balcony was full of spiders. The washer and dryer looked like it was going to fall outbid the closet and the stove was hard to cook on. All of the eyes of the stove were not sitting properly.

Disappointing and dirty

My husband and I were so excited to spend our anniversary weekend away from home, the property listing was all we were looking for for our special weekend. Upon entering there was a funky smell, as I do every time we stay away from home, I pulled down the covers on the bed to check for cleanliness and bed bugs, the sheets had not be cleaned or washed at all, there was pretzels, peanut m&ms, looked like someone had picked their nose and wiped it on the sheets, I immediately took pictures and called the property owner, she didn’t answer but called me back, while I was on the phone with her a bug came out of the sheet and I took a picture of that, as if the gross bed wasn’t it bad enough the floors had not been swept, the bathroom toilet had hair all over it and the bathtub was disgusting. I took pictures and sent them to the property owner. I paid a cleaning deposit but ended up washing the sheets, wiping down the bathroom, kitchen and sweeping and vacuuming, there is also spider webs in the bedroom with all kinds of bugs dead in them. We were so disappointed as we had plans for the afternoon but ended up having to clean so we had a place to sleep, it was too late to get another place to stay and we didn’t have the money to do so either and we live four hours away. The property owner said she would give us the cleaning deposit back which hasn’t been returned, we really feel like we should get a refund for the crap we had to deal with

The unit we stayed in was very clean and was supplied with all the essentials. Gate and room access was seamless.The complex itself could definitely use a thorough cleaning (powerwash) and maintenance. The elevator close to our unit was out of service, the indoor hot tub was not available for use as it had not been cleaned and refilled.The outdoor pool and hot tub were very nice but there was an ant problem.

The property was well kept and very clean. We wish we had more time to stay, as we only got to enjoy one of many hottubs; but there is full exercise room and giftshop on property, along with a steakhouse, which is apparently closed Monday -Wednesday. The only thing that could have made it better would have been having more maps and directions of property posted. There is no evacuation plan posted anywhere, and its a guessing game as to which elevator may be working.Our unit was fabulous. Very comfortable and layed back place to recoup. Looking forward to returning

Retirement Community & Way Past Its Prime!

Overall we had a okay weekend but definitely wouldn’t have booked here if we knew the things we know now. Trying to help the next person looking for a relaxing vacation. It’s not anything luxurious or even up to date. This place was in its prime 20 years ago. It’s also known to locals as the retirement community and that’s what we noticed. Dinner and karaoke at the island restaurant was 70 age and the food was way overpriced and barely decent. Our main elevator was out of service and the large main pool was completely drained.. the rest of the condos not occupied are rentals. Prime rentals for families with kids because of two pools advertised, so on our trip only one pool and it was packed with kids. Couldn’t even get a seat. Also not boat friendly unless you own a boat slip yearly at the marina. We brought our boat and had a horrible time trying to find accommodations to enjoy it while staying on the “island”.

The view from the patio is 100% worth the stay. The unit itself is basic, with all necessities met. I stayed there on a me-cation with my dog. It more than sufficed for us :) Couple of details: Look at what days you’re staying vs the restaurant and spa hours. The closest place to eat is about 15 minutes away. Bring a sleeping eye mask if you are sensitive to light when you sleep. The view from the bedroom is fantastic but not the sun at 7am on vacation lolIf you are looking to enjoy walk-in access to the lake, the only public accessible area is Arkansas Bend (approx 17 minutes away). There is a 5 fee and zero shade at the lakes edge. Highly recommend some sort of shade cover.The place is wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The pools were great. The masseuse onsite was fantastic and professional.Overall, great stay!!!! Would happily stay again!!!

Our family and I love to travel which is why we decided to invest in vacation rental properties in some of our favorite places to travel to. My husband is from Texas and went to college at UT so Austin has become a second home to us. We have owned this condo for almost 20 years and still find it to be one of the most beautiful Scenic spots on Lake Travis. It’s peaceful and serene with breathtaking views. Which is why we love to come visit very often.
