The overall house was fine but the A/C unit never cooled down past 73! Sleeping was uncomfortable needless to say for everyone! But the property manager did send a A/C specialist, the bottom line was determined the unit just couldn’t keep up with the daily heat. The downstairs back doors didn’t deadbolt and the front door lock was broken. The basement shower wouldn’t drain at all. The house was good from afar but far from a good.

Family Vacation

We stayed here for a week with our young adult children. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, soaking in the hot tub and relaxing in the pool. The house’s location is perfect. Two blocks to the beach and a short drive to the grocery store and lots of restaurants. It also felt central to all of our sightseeing and vacation activities.

We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. The property had upstairs and downstairs living and kitchen areas, which worked out great for bringing our teenage kids. We were close to everything.

OBX Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were nice and clean, and the outer banks was a wonderful vacation spot. I would definitely recommend this location for a family vacation.

Would recommend

Really cute house, nice layout with rooms on two levels. I imagined it a little closer to the beach, but still an easy walk and I like that it's off a busy road. Love the wraparound porch and hot tub! 4 stars for cleanliness due to some trash on the ground outside and old food in a microwave, but overall well-kept. We'd stay again.

Well equipped!

Loved this place. It had everything we needed and more! We walked to the beach and had plenty of room inside the house. The hot tub was amazing!

Gorgeous Home and Outstanding communication

Beautiful home in a perfect location! Everything was as described and Ed was absolutely a pleasure to work with. We thought we’d have to reschedule our trip due to tropical storm Ophelia but, we decided to enjoy our time regardless of the weather. Macon Waves was the perfect house to ride out the storm. I would highly recommend their home and I would happily book again in the future!

Fabulous 40th Birthday Celebration

This house was so wonderful and perfect for the four of us. It was so cute and comfortable. We are able to walk to the beach. Definitely recommend Macon Waves. We also made some memories that will last our lifetime. Cannot wait to come back next year with more family with the new renovations!

Amazing!

Lovely place for a long weekend location with my husband and our friends. We loved the little pool, hammocks, and hot tub. Its in a great location and just a short walk to the beach. The house was tidy and host was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Awesome beach house

We had a great time. The host really spent extra time adding details to make sure we had all we needed. The location was so close to the beach which was nice. The only complaint I have was the cleaning lady. We were told by the host we could use outside facilities until noon. Check out was at 10 am. We had everything out by 945 and was packing up the van outside at about 10:15. When she pulled up she jumped out the car and started yelling at us. She was saying I waited as long as i could and we should park in the street to load the rest of our stuff. She was literally yelling with all the kids standing by. She didn't say hello or ask us anything. Just started going off. The driveway can hold 3 cars for guest. She kept demanding we park on the street so she could park where we were loading. I told her we would move over so she could get closer to the stairs but we had permission of the owner to be outside till noon. She was still yelling, " i have to get up the stairs." And u can park on the street. Fyi your not allowed to park on the street. We kept our cool and i just moved over to the far left so she could pull up right next to the steps. Once we moved she never moved her car and just went inside. i dont know what the owner pays this lady to clean but she doesn't do that great of a job, honestly. she was so nasty it makes me think twice about renting again. Eventho the house and host are wonderful. We paid a cleaning fee with the rental. I cleaned alot myself

Misleading and confusing listing- broken hot tub

The property is listed as a 5 bedroom, with 2 kitchens and 3 bathrooms and it is not. They property is only upstairs with another tenant on the site downstairs. The laundry was located in the garage but it was hard to access it. It is a 3 bedroom and 1.5 bath. There is a note on the fridge saying the property will expand to a 5 bedroom in September. But on the this website it doesn't specify a later date. We expected to have a clean 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a working hot tub. The information is false. The house was not very clean and the hot tub was broken. The owner did not contact us about it. They did not compensate us for the broken got tub and mentioned that it would be fixed in a month. We traveled across the USA to stay and felt very disappointed with the false information.

Nice stay

We enjoyed the stay, the house was clean, comfy, and cutely decorated. We were a little bummed there was no hot tub, but the house is in the process of expanding so the hot tub is getting replaced which is understandable. The tank pool more than made up for the hot tub and felt amazing after hot days at the beach. The house had chairs for the beach, a rolling cooler, and bikes which we were happy to use. The large dining room table was perfect for our family to eat together and we were able to keep an ongoing monopoly game on the table. One suggestion for the property is to have a washer/dryer (unless there was one there on the 1st level somewhere we didnt see). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to have the opportunity to rent for a weekend when it is expanded!

Great Place!

This was a cute cottage with great amenities. K-cups were provided for the Keurig, there were bikes for use, and a hot tub and pool! We had our 2 year old with us and a high chair, baby gate, and pack and play were all in the cottage. Ed was great!

Memorial Weekend

The best location! Easy walk to the beach. Great recommendations from Ed about restaurants. The weather as not the best but Ed let us check out at 3pm instead of 10am so we did manage to get a morning at the beach, which was greatly appreciated. An awesome weekend was had by all.

Well stocked and comfortable

Our family of 6 truly enjoyed our stay. Even though it was rainy, our 4 kids (ages 5 months to 6 years) enjoyed the well stocked game cupboard and coloring books! The location was perfect, walking distance to the beach, and easy drive to the Wright Brothers Memorial. There was some dog hair in the rug in the family room, but we didn't mind. It would be a difficult rug to deep clean. Great stay, overall.

Super responsive Host

This was a charming property and overall quiet. My wife, daughter and her friend really enjoyed themselves for a girls weekend. Ed is great and very very responsive to questions & needs. We had a couple minor items when we checked in and he was on it right away.
