We love The Highland!! My wife and I had our micro wedding here and it was perfect. Each of our families stayed in a house and we stayed in the Modern Cabin. Robin was wonderful and very communicative leading up to the weekend and was so helpful when questions popped up during it. The property was beautiful and our families loved how many activities there were to do.

Great place for large groups

Really loved this place for our after prom party. We had 20, 18 year olds that were kept busy our whole stay. From the pool, to pickle ball court and the volleyball court, there was never a dull moment. Robin was a great host too. He made sure we had everything we needed for our stay to be as comfortable as possible.

10x better than the photos

I was so pleasantly surprised with the property. It’s HUGE, scenic, beautiful and the houses are newly renovated. The owner was extremely helpful and reachable via text to the hot tub on (many times) and even drove to the end of the driveway to pick up an Amazon package. Can’t recommend this place more!

WORLD-CLASS

Robin is an AMAZING host. He was so easy to work with, and he was incredibly helpful - above and beyond expectations. He has done a great job curating this property/experience. I'm very impressed and would recommend.

Beautiful property!

This is a stunning property! There was plenty of space for me and 20 of my friends to spread out. Robin is extremely hospitable and was on property when we arrived to give us a tour! One of the houses has really nice built-in bunk beds with stairs leading up to the top bunks. The pool was the best part! There were plenty of pool toys and things to do around the property to keep everyone entertained. Absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone hosting a large group of people!

Overall very clean lovely space. Used contacts left on master bedroom bedside table, house 1. Outdoor rusted wires, gardening wire along, lawn sheers left on ground near play area. 1/2 patio balcony stairway dismantled with nails protruding, sitting between pickle ball and horseshoe play area. One 2x4x6ish board nailed across top of balcony stairway exit of house 2, to prevent children accessing partial stairway. Kids bunk bed sleeping space is on the 2nd fl., house 2 with missing stairs. No high level door lock to prevent access to balcony of missing 1/2 staircase to 1st fl. Pool & hot tub didn’t work initially nor consistently. Hot tub never got hot. Disappointing for all especially kids. Primary appeal of rental was for heated swimming pool & hot tub. Efforts were made almost daily by host to repair pool & hot tub water heaters. No extra pool heat fees were applied & dogs were accommodated w/fees waived.
Missing bottom staircase. Balcony exit.
Rusted sheers placed for safety.
Scraped leg on jagged tiles in cool spa.

We had a large family reunion here, and really loved the space for our group! There was so much to do to keep everyone entertained, and we loved the variety of spaces to gather. We had small children with us, and were concerned with safety (mostly the pool), but were grateful that we could easily section off the kids in certain areas to keep them supervised. We also loved that there were plenty of floats provided for the pool. Other amenities like a speaker, outdoor grill, etc, were also much appreciated. The place was also super clean, and plenty of room for everyone’s family to fit comfortably. Perfect spot for large groups and families!

Great Stay Very Flexible

We really enjoyed our stay here! The property is gorgeous and huge. The pool was awesome and there was even a slip n slide! Robin was really responsive and when we had a Covid scare a week before the reservation, he was willing to work with us on rescheduling. We were able to keep our original dates but it was awesome he was willing to be flexible, most hosts would not have been!

Perfect for our large group.

Robin and The Highland were perfect for our family vacation. The homes were gorgeous and fully stocked. Robin was so attentive and the initial tour of the property was perfect. If you are looking for a gorgeous property in the Texas Hill country with comfy beds, beautiful views and space to just gather and hang out then this is the place.

Great for department retreat

Robin was an excellent and generous host! We had our resident department retreat here, and everyone loved it. There was so much room to break off into whatever activity you wanted to do. Everyone had a place to sleep; Robin also had extra air mattresses when needed. I believe we will likely return next year if possible.

Beautiful location!

The Highland was the perfect location for our first family reunion. The beauty of this place is much more than the pictures on line. You don't realize that the property is perched up on a hill and you can literally see all 3/4 around the property. Because of its lofty location there is a breeze which helps to keep the heat at bay. Upon arrival, Robin our host, showed us all around the property and gave instructions of where things were located on the property and how things worked. Even though they live on the property in another home a bit removed from the main two houses, we had complete privacy but felt comfortable if we had any need he was just a text away. We had a ceiling fan that would not work and Robin immediately responded and came and reprogrammed the remote. The two homes had plenty of items for our use, extra towels, sheets, dishes, cooking utensils, washer & dryer etc., literally anything you would need if you lived there. Our family (especially the kids) enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub, corn hole, ping pong and a bonus for the boys, remote control cars! Robin and his wife have not spared anything for their guests' comfort. This property is so relaxing, I would love to come just my husband and I for a weekend r & r. If we have another family gathering again, this will definetly be at the top of the list. Thank you again, Robin for an incredible stay! Paula

Perfect group compound

9 golfers spent 4 delightful days at Robin’s fabulous compound on a delightful hilltop location in the Texas Hill country. First class in every respect. Multiple kitchens, grills and firepits. Kitchens appointed like you would you be in your own home. Robin was a delightful host who was available for every need. A must stay for a group get together.

Amazing Stay. Amazing Host. Amazing for Large Groups.

We stayed at The Highlands for my brother's bachelor party, and had the most incredible stay. The property is even nicer than the pictures look (and the pictures look great!). The whole group was blown away as soon as we got to the location. The stay was made easy by a host that is incredibly kind and attentive. There are more activities on the property than you can even dream of fitting in in one weekend. From volleyball, to Spikeball, Disc Golf, Cornhole, and so much more. There was also a really nice view at the front of the property. We had 21 in our party sleep comfortably between the two houses. Just under 30 mins to the airport and downtown. Would gladly stay here next time I am in the area. If you have a large group, I cannot imagine you will find better accommodations in the area.

Amazing weekend in hill country with friends and family!

Robin's property is truly beautiful. The pictures really do not do the beautiful views justice. The thought and care that he and his wife have put into this property is evident at every turn. We had my son's 2nd bday party here and hosted 30-40 friends and family members. Everyone had a blast! Highly recommend this place for a large group! Hope to be back someday!

Wedding weekend perfection

We rented the houses for the bride’s family and the bridesmaids including their spouses and children. The property was amazing!! Wonderful location, it was easily accessible to our venues. Everyone loved it. The second house was perfect for hair and makeup with great natural light. We would definitely stay here again.
