NATURE SURROUNDS YOU Most of our guests consider Vista Oceana as a Wildlife Sanctuary. Due to our close distance from The Manuel Antonio National Park and the lush tropical jungle vegetation that surrounds the Villa, we are frequently visited by all 3 species of monkey's, Capuchin, Mono Titi, and Howler, occasional sloths, agoutis, flocks of toucans, McCaw’s, pelicans, parrots and many spectacular lizards and iguanas may be seen about the villa.
Hundreds of species of birds have been spotted from balconies in this area and if you are very fortunate you may even spot a mother whale and her calf only a few hundred yards off of the beach. We are constantly adding new tropical flowers to our butterfly garden and the Villa in General.
WALK TO THE BEACH Vista Oceana is the closest luxury home to the MA National Park and main beach known as Playa Espadilla. The villa is conveniently located on a paved street just 80 yards from the Manuel Antonio road, from there the beach is just a 10-minute walk down the main Manuel Antonio road. You can wave down a taxi or catch the bus, or walk to any number of fine restaurants.
THE PROPERTY. As you enter into the enclosed courtyard you will find the Fountain, from there, you will also enter into the Villa, the main floor offers one King size en suite, along with the main living area, main kitchen and dining area, and pool side retreat. You will find the Master king en suite, and 2 queen en suites on the 2nd floor. All suites have private balconies and incredible ocean views.
Moving up to our 3rd level you will find the awe-inspiring covered terrace with casual seating, two hammocks, and possibly the best views of Manuel Antonio bay. Large enough for your wedding and yoga retreat, while listening to the ocean waves, watching the beach goers below!
Leaving the great room, you step out to our pool area, we have a large covered patio, sun deck, double sided infinity edge pool with swim up bar and a toddler area 12" deep and 6 feet square, that seems to melt into the pacific. We also have the sunken bar and bar-b-q pit, refrigerator and sink, both of which are under a thatched palm roof.
The owner wanted a modern house and yet wanted to avoid a cold sterile feeling and incorporated many natural materials to add warmth and character to the villa, stone walls, and accents in the front of the villa, teak structures, and palm thatched roofs, hand carved stone sinks and stone countertops, wood ceilings, a hand carved stone fountain in the courtyard, slate walkways and decks in all outdoor areas, stained glass, table tops and headboards cut horizontally, from massive trees.
The entire villa is furnished with hand crafted furniture created by Costa Rican artisans and designed by the owner and the walls are highlighted with Costa Rican art.
