Sea Haven on Bates Beach

Welcome to our condo! This little gem is situated on the outskirts of Courtenay BC on Vancouver Island.
Come and enjoy the amazing ocean views from the seaside balcony and fall asleep while listening to the waves outside your bedroom window!

This cozy space is located on the second floor of the building and can accommodate 4 people. It is perfect for individuals, couples and small children. It has one bedroom with a comfy queen bed and a sofa bed in the living room. Extra bedding is provided.
It has a fully stocked kitchen and includes extras like coffee, tea, spices, oil etc for your convenience.
Anything else you may need, we’ll do our best to accommodate!

So many amazing things to enjoy, in and around the area... beach fires(wood can be provided) paddle boarding and kayaking right off the beach, visiting the local wineries, beaches and trails and a quick drive(38 minutes from the condo to the top of the mountain) up to Mt Washington.
You will have access to Netflix, Prime and Disney+ for your entertainment. The condo is also equipped with its own wireless wifi router, (as the community wifi in the complex is quite weak) to ensure excellent connection for all your electronic needs.

Guests will be provided with entry code for self check in on the day of their arrival.

I absolutely loved relaxing on the deck and watching all the wildlife. Sleeping was amazing too--very comfortable bed and the soothing sound of the waves made for a wonderful experience.

Amazing ocean view. We watched herons everyday and were lulled by waves and seagull sounds. Lovely decor, very clean, and thoughtfully equipped, even fluffy bathrobes! Also private and quiet. Kind of equi distance from Courtenay or Comox, so easy access to many attractions. Top notch winery very nearby! A gem of a stay, and we loved it.

End of Summer Getaway

Cozy/clean and quiet stay right on Bates beach. Close proximity to local farm stands and great fishing. Loved falling asleep each night to the sound of crashing waves. We will be back!

Beach Getaway

What a beautiful little spot. We only came over from Powell River but was a treat to see the sunrise over home. And the cruise ships appear so close. Plus the whales. We’ll be back.

Great little condo on the sea

Beautiful one-bedroom with balcony overlooking the beach. We saw much wildlife including seals, a whale, a black bear (walking down the road in the middle of the night) eagles and loon. Immaculately clean, comfy bed and thoughtful little snacks for guests. Loved it!

Surprise Anniversary Getaway

Everything went smoothly, communication with Amber was excellent. Hubby was pleasantly impressed with the accommodations. We needed to get away from work/business and the other things that make our life hectic and exhausting, this was a perfect spot for us to recharge.

Sea Haven at Bates Beach

Our stay at Sea Haven was amazing. The condo was beautiful, welcoming and tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed and more. From the welcome treats, to the comfy robes, this condo was fully stocked and made us feel right at home. Best of all was the ocean view and the sounds of the waves lapping the shore throughout the day and the night. We would highly recommend this rental and hope to have an opportunity to be guests at Sea Haven again.

Perfect location on the water

This a beautiful little condo with amazing views of the ocean, surrounding islands and mainland. We saw seals and whales and each night around midnight cruise ships would pass by on the way to Alaska. On a clear night the stars were amazing. We made a trip to Elk’s River Falls and Miracle Beach Park. Amber has thought of everything, including welcome snacks and bathrobes. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. Only drawback was slow wifi.

A mother & daughter getaway

We enjoyed our relaxing stay at Sea Haven. The suite was clean and had a well equipped kitchen. Amber is an accommodating host, very promptly answering any questions or concerns. We enjoyed spending time walking the beach particularly at low tide. Perfect place for kayaking and paddle boarding. From our patio, we enjoyed breaching whales, frolicking seals, eagles and herons fishing. We hope to be able to return for another visit.

Perfect place to chill.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay at Amber’s place. It was impeccably clean, comfortable and well appointed, complete with ceiling fans, yay! And very, very quiet, if you don’t count birdsong and the sound of the waves! The highlight is the ocean facing balcony, the better to watch the seals and loons and, reportedly, the odd whale! No stores or restaurants close by, so plan ahead for meals. And don’t miss a beautiful walk or hike at nearby Seal Bay Nature Park. Exceptional!

I would give it a 6 star rating if I could

If you haven't stayed in a lot of vacation rentals you may not appreciate all the attention to detail, but we truly did. There was so much thought that went into making this condo a truly relaxing vacation spot from the provided Keurig cups to the welcome snacks to the comfy bath robes, the cushy mat in front of the sink, the binoculars and beach chairs and so much more. The compact space is efficiently designed. It is tastefully decorated and not cramped with extra nic nacs. The dishes and glass ware matched. Not a hodge podge from a thrift store. There was a professional made welcome book that explained all that you needed to know and in easy to understand language. If it had been winter we would have enjoyed the thoughtful access to streaming networks, but instead the beautiful vista was our entertainment. The view is better than pictured. There is no AC but with the ocean breeze and overhead fans (not the ones you need to move around and that take up space) we were very comfortable in the heat. The location is great with lots to do in the area. I usually have some comment for the host on how to improve the rental but this is a first, no improvement needed. Bravo!! We loved our stay. Thank you.

This property was perfect for a quiet getaway. It’s very comfortable and has every amenity you could want while there. The lovely little deck looks straight out to the ocean, where you can watch the sunrise and moonrise over the water. The bed is very comfy and the linens were delightfully crisp and fresh. The kitchen has all the needed appliances and cooking utensils. Overall, a great stay!

An incredible spot. Its a 6 out of 5 star. Comfy bed. Clean. The interior alone makes it a 5*. But the view of the strait and the sound of the waves were incredible - the stress melted off us! Nice waterfront to walk - saw seals and sea lions. Area has nice hiking trails. We will definitely stay here again.

Always a great stay! Location is perfect, right out on the beach, tucked away in a quiet area surrounded by nature, but still only 15 minutes driving distance from Comox and Courtenay. The unit itself is comfortable and clean, well stocked with cookware and dishes, some snacks and Keurig cups are provided, for more just drive down to the Courtenay Country Market.Will definitely be back again, what a great area to spend a weekend relaxing away from home!
