Come visit York Beach and stay in 'The Great Escape' with your family and friends! This four bedroom, two bathroom, newly restored farmhouse boosts a covered porch, deck, large front yard for gatherings, and themed 'pirate' room to hang out in with TV, futon and foosball table. Just a 10 minute walk from either Short Sands or Long Sands, or a few minutes drive. Centrally located to many restaurants, stores, and activities.

Terrific place in perfect location

The house was great for us, giving us numerous places to spread out and a great porch for reading and games. The room AC's came in handy on the hot days and the kitchen is great. We only needed to reach out once during our stay and Cathy responded immediately. Getting in was easy and everything was as expected. Most important, you can't beat the location - want to walk to the beach - 5 minutes one way. Want to walk to downtown - 5 minutes another. Drive out to Rt 1 - can cut right through a block down. Perfect location for a York vacation and we hope to stay here again.

Charming York Beach rental

Charming New England home was perfect for our group of six. Kitchen is well equipped and living space was cozy. TV has Roku and several steaming services generously provided by the owner for rainy days. 10-minute walk to the beach as expected, but a straight shot down quiet dirt streets that conveniently puts you right next to the ice cream shack. Owner is very responsive and even went out of her way to replace boogie boards for our stay! Great home for a week in York Beach!

Good value and convenient location

- Great communication and very responsive property manager - Convenient location - Plenty of space for a family of six with teens - Updated and well stocked kitchen - Antique-y feel - not as modern as some places we’ve stayed but Good value for the money Thank you!!

Better than the pictures

The house was very spacious and clean. We had a little issue that was resolved quickly and communication was great. The walk-ability was fantastic. The street was busier than we’re used to, but we loved our stay.

Excellent Get Away!

I absolutely loved staying at this home! It was a great location and had everything we needed from beach chairs, to cooking supplies and utensils, to toiletries, to ice and some condiments in the fridge. The host was responsive to anything we needed. The house itself had adorable decorations and it certainly felt like a home away from home. I would definitely stay again and recommend this home and this host to anyone!

I have been vacationing in York Beach for many years and have always come to this area to celebrate Summer with family and friends. I know you will fall in love with the York Beach area and its many treasures! I adore my house which I decorated as 'beachy' and named 'The Great Escape', and know you will fall in love with it too!

Varför värden valde detta boende

This area really does have it all for a fun and relaxing vacation, with multiple beaches, hiking, outlet shopping, and quaint restaurants and shops. They don't call it 'Vacationland' for nothing! Some of my favorite places include the Fun-O-Rama arcade and Goldenrod with their salt water taffy kisses! Portsmouth and Portland are both a short drive away and a car drive up coastal route one is an adventure. Both Ogunquit and Wells are very accessible and provide many outings and adventures for all.

The Great Escape has all the amenities that one could ask for, whether you are looking for a weekend get away or planning a family vacation. You can walk to the beach, run along the coast to Nubble Light, or relax in your covered porch. Fire up the grill or throw some lobsters in the pot, you have all the comforts of home in the newly refinished kitchen if you decide to stay in for the night.

We have parking for four cars, two separate 'hang out' areas with TVs and seating, multiple dining spots in kitchen, living room and deck, beach cart and boogie boards to borrow.
