This is a quiet neighborhood where people wave when you drive by. Located off of gum branch road. Enjoy this 3 bedroom 2 bath home on a corner lot with a big fenced in yard and new trex decking with patio furniture. We are 1.5 miles away from grocery stores, gas stations and fast food restaurants. We are dog friendly! We are also kid friendly! Our home is equipped with a pack n play, highchair, stroller and bouncer. Enjoy country living in the little big town of jacksonville.

Outstanding Property

Very nice home! LOTS of security which was perfectly fine with us. Our dog LOVED the fenced in back yard. It was a great size for ball playing. The home was VERY clean and they had everything we needed for our stay. The host was very prompt at answering questions as well. We were VERY thankful for a home that would allow us to bring our dog. AND it was over Christmas! We really liked this home and will use it again if we come back down to Jacksonville, N. Carolina. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great Place to Stay

The home was as presented in the write up and photos with great amenities. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our pet and would have been equally beneficial for kids. We were attending a wedding at the Rustic Barn, which was only 2 miles away, so the proximity was perfect. The owner was responsive to inquiries and messages in a timely manner. The welcome gift and info summary available at check-in was a wonderful touch. I do recommend this kid and pet friendly property to anyone considering a stay in Half Moon/Jacksonville, NC.

Great place to stay!

If you go to visit in Jacksonville, this is a great place to stay. They have everything you need, it is clean and cozy. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The hosts respond immediately to any questions and are great. Our family really enjoyed our stay here.

More than expected!

This property turned out to look better than the pics and description listed. The little welcome tou hes were a surprise and treat! Would recommend family and friends..as qell as anyone to check into this property.. Cute and Quiet

It was a great location for what we were looking for. We went to visit family and had reached out to Chris ahead of time. It was sweet for them to have a high-chair out and ready for use for our grandson. It was a lovely neighborhood, quiet and relaxing for the great-grandparents that traveled with us. Convenient Location

Great set up for our out of town family to get together for Christmas. The large fenced back yard worked out great for our small dog. The beds and furniture are very comfortable and the gift we received upon check in was a nice surprise and much appreciated.

Quite Neighborhood Close to Everything

The house is tucked into the back of the neighborhood with a nice sized backyard for our dog. The house was very clean and we had 2 nice surprises when we arrived which was awesome after a 14 hour drive. I was nervous after reading about roosters crowing but I only heard him one time during our 10-night stay and I was able to quickly go back to sleep. Chris was very responsive and a great host!

Family Reunion

Visiting from Columbus Ohio for a family reunion. House is very nice and clean. Was a little shocked there were know TVs in the bedrooms. We didnt spend a lot of time at the house so we were ok with it. Quiet neighborhood accept for Rooster crowing all day. Being from Ohio we found it funny! I would book this location again.

Half Moon stay

The property was as listed and the owner’s correspondence was quick and to the point. The property was close to a lot of things, For my first VRBO experience I’m pleased, but I believe my dogs enjoyed the large fenced backyard (over a hotel room).

Privacy not possible

The home needs a deep cleaning. Dirty dishes in cabinets, dust build up, the floors needed swept, and the toilet and bathtubs did not appear to be clean. I was also unaware that there are camera inside the home until we arrived, which made it very uncomfortable. It would also be nice to have check out instructions give upon arrival instead of the day before check out. The location of the home was good.

Excellent 1st time experience : ) couldn't be happier : ) will book with Chris next time I visit.

First of all I want to thank Chris, who is the owner of the home that we stayed at. Chris's property is very well maintained and is extremely clean. This was my very 1st time using VRBO vs staying at a motel/hotel. I had many questions about everything and Chris was able to answer all of them and did so very quickly. My group consisted of myself, my wife, my mother, and my brother and sister in-law. Everyone was very impressed and happy with the home. LOL : ) as soon as I opened the front door and stepped inside I was greeted by the sight of a beautiful large living room, spacious kitchen and modest dining area. All 3 bedrooms have large comfortable beds. Our stay was very busy and hectic so it was very nice to be able to return to a very quiet neighborhood to relax at. Will be booking this property again the next time we visit N.C.

Excellent House!

The house was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed such as paper plates, dish soap, hand soap, etc. and more. The host has great communication with the guests via email. I would highly recommend this vacation rental. It was continently located to stores, restaurants, and Camp Lejeune Marine base. I can’t say enough good things about this rental.

Felt like being at home

Very nice, clean and close to grocery stores and restaurants. The owner left information on things to do in the area, places to eat and even vet information in case needed as I had my dog with me. I stayed here until I closed on my new house. It was delayed and the owner was very understanding and accommodating. Everything you needed was in the house...towels, hand soap, dishes, pots, pans and even a water/food bowl for my dog. The deck area is very nice and relaxing. You won't be disappointed!

Quick Family Weekend

We took a quick last minute trip to see my son and we really enjoyed our weekend. The house was great, very clean and just as depicted, and the host was so easy to get in touch with. The yard was really nice too and I will definitely rent again in the summer! 100% recommend staying here!! Also really appreciated the tips from the host and we actually took them up on some of their recommendations.

Amazing place

This is the house where my fiance proposed to me. And it couldn't have been more perfect. The house was beautiful, we were welcomed with doughnuts , wine and water. They even sat up a list with information for us on restaurants , what to do, and emergency info. The bathrooms had toothbrushes and toothpaste, and cute little bottles with soap and shampoo. Enough towels for our entire stay. And the house was so clean. And all my questions got answered right after I texted Chris and his wife. I would definitely recommend this place for couples, and families. We loved the neighborhood, everyone was so friendly. Thank you for trusting us to rent your house

Home away from home

House looks exactly like the photos. Owners go above and beyond with extras. Perfect place to relax for a week, cook meals for my Marine, and spend quality time together. Bedrooms were perfect sizes. Highly recommend. I look forward to staying again.

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful When we arrived our host had a bottle of wine and a box of doughnuts there which the kids loved, thankyou for that. Everything we needed was there already which made it allot easier. Has a big fenced in back yard also which was very nice. Thankyou for letting us stay there , the host was very responsive to every message I had.

This property has 300 feet of vinyl privacy fence which is perfect for the Family dog (or two). We have free wifi and Internet television service that gives you 4000 channels from all accross the world.
