WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! ****DO NOT RENT FROM HERE****
I made the reservation about 3 weeks before my arrival and received a confirmation number. After 5 hrs driving I got to the resort on arrival date around 9pm. To my surprise the front desk told me they did not have a reservation. I showed my VRBO reservation number and the lady told me the host needed to input the reservation into the resort system. I called the phone number listed on the VRBO property page and the lady who picked up told me she will try to input the reservation into the resort system… SHE HAD 3 WEEKS TO DO THAT. She told me the system could not let it do it because it was past 3pm. I asked they needed to solve the situation but without any sense of guilt, remorse or a will to help she told me she could not do anything. To my surprise, she was not the host of the condo but a manager. I asked for the host phone number and she did not give it to me and gave me an office number. *** I MESSAGED THE HOST, JEFF, 2 TIMES AND HE NEVER RESPONDED*** to this date.
So I was at Snowshoe with 5 kids and no place to stay at 9:30pm. After 1 hr of making calls and working with the front desk of another resort in location, I was able to find something to stay, paying almost 3 times more of what I would have payed if I did not have this HUGE MESS CAUSED BY THE HOST.
After putting a complaint on VRBO, I got reimbursed. However, no apologies, no message from host… and it cost me 3 times more, which the host did not cover that extra cost.
