Somewhere that has a large hot tub to look out at the stars, and a big warm fireplace to cozy up to after a long day of skiing or hiking. Somewhere close to the lake and walking distance from the Downtown Village. Well, this is exactly what we have to offer and you are going to love our charming 1930's cabin!

Great location

The cabin is the perfect size for my family of 3. The location was perfect because we planned to spend most of our time at Alpine and the village. My son loved the hot tub and thought it was cool to be warm when it was really cold out. I would definitely stay here again.

Great property in a great location.

My wife and I spent the weekend, thoroughly enjoyed it. Cabin is well stocked if you want to eat in, but is also just moments away from some great restaurants. We were very comfortable throughout the stay, would recommend.

Mini holiday for a tired teacher.

The property was absolutely amazing. Very cozy. Kitchen was well stocked. Very quiet neighbors. I liked that it was at the edge of the village, so there was quick access to hiking trails.

Cozy "Bear House"

Charming. Comfortable. Relaxing. Quiet. Convenient. I call it "Bear House" as many of the decorations, dinnerware and bedding have bears on them. 6 stars!

My husband and I have stayed here several times. It has always been very clean and well managed. Always relaxing and enjoyable. Communication has always been great with owner Elana.She answers any questions or concerns in a timely manner. Definitely our go to cabin.

Heavenly Cabin

From the start communications was great. Elena and Tyler were courteous and hospitable. They were there to answer all questions I might have had. The cabin was so cozy I felt at home. There was a complementary bottle of wine to start us off. Location was fabulous. Overall stay was one of the better times I've had at Big Bear, and I've been comming up there for about 30 years.

A wonderful cabin

This cabin is just like the pictures. I’ve stayed in some places that the pictures do not match the location. The great reviews are correct. Nice location near downtown Big Bear. Easily walkable in ten minutes. We tried Saucy Mamas for pizza our last night. It was excellent. Murrays bar was the best. Had the house burger, it’s the one in green on the menu. So good and reasonably priced. This property is a gem. The jacuzzi was awesome. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Kitchen is fully stocked. You’ll love this place and won’t have any regrets. Tyler is just a phone call away and very responsive.

The location is very quiet and nice. The hot tub was pristine and the amenities were good. The 2 bedrooms as advertise is not a bedroom but a futon in a small side area.

Power Outage/Shortened Stay

The cabin was very clean, cute (adorable bear themed), well located & well equipped. Tyler was very responsive! We enjoyed the nice front porch/deck. The bathroom was a bit small, but OK for 2. Loved the tasty complimentary bottle of wine! The Jacuzzi was in good condition, already warm & we had planned to use it. Unfortunately, not within any control of the owner, SCE of Big Bear shut off all electrical power for the whole city at 10pm our first night (Fri.) due to high winds & fire danger. Power was off the whole night. My only complaint for this whole stay is that there was a complete lack of preparedness for this type of event provided or addressed at all for renters. There were 2 small lanterns on the fireplace mantel--both had DEAD batteries. I actually only found 1 lantern in the total black darkness that night but realized there was a 2nd one in the morning--but w/ dead batteries! There was one other lantern in the closet that looked broken, also w/ DEAD batteries! I thankfully brought cellphone batteries, a tiny flashlight & some extra AA batteries. I put batteries in the one lantern I did find & left them in there for the next renter to use in emergency. The info online said this power cutoff order was continuing through Sun., our last day; there may be periods of power & then it may be cut off again. We decided to leave Sat. am, w/ no guarantee of ability to use the cabin & my hubby being able to use his CPAP. The owner refunded our 2nd night IMMEDIATELY! WOW!
