Charming lake side retreat great for family time or a romantic getaway!

This beautiful home boasts over 2400 square feet of living space. It has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathooms. It is situated on beautiful Otisco Lake and less than twenty minutes away from Skaneateles and Destiny Mall USA.
Drive up to hike the nearby 90 foot tall Carpenter's waterfall near Skaneateles or Tinker Falls in Tully NY. Explore the Village of Skaneateles' unique shops, boutiques and world class restaurants. Take the 5/20 drive while exploring the wine country, rolling hills and the Finger Lakes Region of beautiful Upstate New York. Near us is 1911 apple orchard, song mountain ski resort and several golf courses.

The Space:
On the main level there is an open floor plan with a spacious living area, modern kitchen with granite counters and dining room seating for (8). The second level has a Master bedroom with on suite jacuzzi bathtub and queen bed, guests bedrooms with queen bed. Fully furnished with linens, livingroom and kitchen ammenities. Pamper yourself with the luxuries of a home theater, hot tub, downstairs sauna and internet service. Catch up on some reading on the wrap around deck, or just veg in our covered hot tub and open porch overlooking the lake.
There is a dock, fire pit, and over 80 feet of private lakefront for you to enjoy! If you brought your fishing gear - catch some fish off the dock!

The lake is not swim-ready until mid-June unless you are a very hardy soul! Sit on the front deck and you may see our resident eagles. The sunsets from the deck are absolutely magnificent!
Rent a party boat from the local marina to tool around our beautiful lake and motor up to "lakeside vista" and enjoy one of our local eateries. You can bring your own boat and dock at the marina nearby.

Lovely property, took my family here for a couple days and it was just absolutely perfect. It was very clean and family friendly. We will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed here for our wedding weekend with our groomsmen and friends. The property was beautiful and the game room/bar/theater was fun to hang out in. Sitting on the porch in the morning with coffee was relaxing. We were too late in the year but I love that you could use the dock and bring your own boat.

Great family stay for Syracuse graduation

The house was a short drive from the Syracuse campus. We enjoyed the beautiful views and comfortable rooms. Beak and Skiff was very close by and made for a great afternoon outing! Wish we had more time to enjoy the area!

First family vacation

This was our first family vacation in years and it was great! The house was exactly as described, spacious, well-appointed, well taken care of and had everything we could ever need and then some. The lake view (and access) were just incredible and the porch swing was a favorite for everyone. Our hosts were amazing-very friendly, very helpful and easy to reach/communicate with, really lovely people. We definitely recommend the house and them and will be back again.

Absolutely Perfect

The photos accurately depicted the home. The beauty of the scenery is best captured in person. There was something for everyone in the family. Some preferred the games, others the sauna. I loved the middle deck. It was relaxing just to sit there and take in the view.

So Peaceful!

What a great time was had!! This house literally had everything!! We ate ever meal that we had on the deck over looking lake. Enjoyed movies on the big screen with reclining seats. The house was clean and well stocked. We spent most of the days either in the lake, sitting by the lake, or on the patio or deck overlooking the lake:). The hot tub was super relaxing also. Short ride to Skaneateles, great town, shops, restaurants, and waterfront to enjoy. I highly recommend a trip to Beak and Skiff Apple Hill Campus and 1911 Tasting Room!! So beautiful there.

Right on the lake, perfect for relaxing or exploring the finger lakes region

On the eastern bank of the easternmost of the finger lakes, this property is close enough to both Syracuse and Skeneatles if one wants an evening out. There are decks on each level with an unobstructed view of the lake and direct access to it from the lowest level. The kitchen is very well-appointed with lots of condiments and spices to supplement your stock. There is even a home theater in the basement, and a sauna. The one quibble I had was that it could do with some comfortable chairs indoors for people to sprawl and read a book, instead of the large formal dining table. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the lake view.

Perfect Setting

The property was just as pretty as it shows in the pictures. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We had a great time using the pool table and video games in the downstairs as well as playing games at the dining room table. There was pleanty of room in the back for playing cornhole and a frisbee game we brought. The view of the lake was perfect from the deck and the back yard and we all took a dip in the lake from the dock. The store across the street was just a few steps away and you can also rent a boat there and just walk about 2 minutes to the marina to board. The host was wonderful and was right on top of everything we asked about. My family had an awesome vacation there and I wouldn't hesitate to rent the house again. Do not miss this house if you are going to the finger lakes!

What a Fabulous Find!

What a fabulous find - just wish we had found it sooner!!! We spent the weekend of our son’s graduation from Syracuse University here, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! A mere 25 minute drive from the craziness of the crowds and chaos of downtown, and we were at our beautiful lakefront retreat. Complete with everything we could dream of
views, patios, balconies, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, cozy nooks, indoor theater, hot tub, sauna, beautiful decor, comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms and kitchen, a “party” basement for those that could need it, a paddle boat, pristine, quiet
what more could one want?! We are only sad we didn’t discover it Freshman year instead, as it would have been the perfect place to spend a weekend, any season, to visit our college student and give him a break from campus life as well!

Our best all time NY rental

Property Review 1549 Otisco Valley Road The lodging gets an A+ It is a beautiful house on Otisco Lake. One of the best houses we’ve ever rented in NY. Spacious and clean with many amenities. The view of the lake is second to none in the Finger Lakes region. The owner was very responsive and unobtrusive to quickly fix an electronics problem we encountered. However there is one problem with this property. There is no easy access to the lake. The waterfront gets a lesser grade. You can not easily enter the water from the dock, as you cannot jump or dive into the lake due to the rocks. The owner did provide signage to note this. There is no ladder from the dock into the lake. There are no stairs from the shoreline into the lake. I tried lowering myself into the lake from what is left of their brick retaining wall but it is under repair at this time. Overall GREAT!

We had a wonderful stay at Angela and Wayne’s home. Peaceful and serene. We had 6 adults and never felt crowded. The home is beautiful and comfortable. The house had everything you needed to cook and more. Sitting out on the deck and playing board games was very relaxing. Something we don’t do often enough with our busy lives. Our stay recharged our batteries. I dont think we looked at a clock once. We enjoyed being right on the lake. There were kayaks and inner tubes to float around on the lake. We will definitely be back.

The place was fantastic. Clean, very fully furnished and the hosts were quite responsive. It was the perfect mix of quiet and accessible- 15 minutes from the quaint Skaneateles tourist areas but more private. Wineries may take a little planning with most 30-60 minutes away but it is the perfect relaxation getaway. Sissy’s Pizza just up the road is amazing.
Sunsets will actually lower your heart rate!

Amazing property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen in terms of dishes, cookware etc. The game room / theater was so fun for our group. We hope to be back!

Wonderful family vacation

Our extended family of 7 stayed at this amazing property. The owners are so kind and attentive. We wanted for nothing. The house was fully stocked and provided so many amenities. Plenty of things for the kids to do inside and outside. The house was comfortable and cozy. The small store located across the street provided even more conveniences. We rented a pontoon boat from the Otisco campground. Easy access to the lake from the property. The whole trip was amazing. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Very impressive stocked VRBO with essentials for our stay. We used the kitchen & grill facilities on Friday night and all was perfect. Game room although we did not use much was cool and the theater room was nice.
