Great vacation getaway

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Any concerns that we had the owner Ernesto responded in a timely manner. He ensured that we enjoyed our stay. If you have a large party I would recommend bringing extra towels and wash cloths. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay.

Awesome family retreat

3 generations including 2 girls under 3 .House was extremely well stocked with towels dishes etc and the outdoor area and pool were phenomenal. House is huge and offers plenty of privacy when accommodating a large group. Owners were polite and punctual in interactions with us.

Great House!

House was great. Check in and check out instructions could have been a little more clear (didn’t see checkout manual as the instructions stated). The back door doesn’t lock. The WiFi was not working. Aside from those few things the house is gorgeous and everything was amazing. Thank you Ernesto!

Terrible host and dishonest property listing

We picked this property because it looked nice on the VRBO profile. The listing clearly stated the property had access to the Oasis Club at ChampionsGate. Prior to leaving for our vacation we checked reviews and noticed a negative review regarding access to the pools and water slides at the Oasis club. We right away messaged the host as we were attending with 7 kids excited to use these amenities. Ernesto (the host) said it was not a problem and would take care if it. As you can imagine he did not. We did not have access to these amenities the whole time we stayed there. When we pushed him on this, he got very rude and threatened to kick us out. We called VRBO multiple times reporting this issue. They tried calling Ernesto multiple times without any luck. However he was clearly available as he had no problem sending threatening messages. We learned from other property owners and the Oasis Club at champions gate that he was not paying all his HOA fees or his club fees that he was clearly advertising He had acccess too. VRBO has still not got back to us from our multiple calls. Changing vacation homes was not an ideal solution as we were already settled in the home with our 11 guests, when we found out about this issue. We ended up spending more money booking other day trips to entertain our kids. VRBO has been less and helpful working with us to get a credit. This house also did not have basic items like a broom or vacuum, a baking sheet, scissors, among other things.

Nice house/ bad customer service

The house was in a great location. I booked the house for thanksgiving so we could all be together for the ones traveling from out of town. I contacted the host to give him names and drivers. In the description it says it can register up to 10 ppl. A house that sleeps 15 natural will have more than 2 or 3 cars. The host was rude, tried to get me to pay him money outside of vrbo. Didn’t want to give more than 2 passes without charging 80.00 per car for 1 day. he tried to lie and say my reservation was cancelled after I told him I contacted Vrbo about the parking and registration issue and told me to please leave due to it being cancelled. I called vrbo And it wasn’t even cancelled, he lied to get us to leave and keep our money. The walls were dirty and marked up, furniture broke down, hole in patio screen, food was found underneath the bed, a bonnet and dirty socks in a room. Kids room had hole in mattress and no wash cloths in the bathroom only hand and regular towels .

Had potential

Great location. Pool heater wasn’t working and we weren’t informed until we contacted the host to get it fixed. This was a big disappointment for us as that was the main draw for us. Our young grandkids wanted to swim but it was too cold for them to stay in longer than 5 minutes. BBQ also wasn’t working. Carpets were dirty. Made the most of our trip but the accommodations were disappointing.

Wouldn’t stay here

Property was not well maintained. All pool lounge chairs were broken. The door to the pool was broken, couldn’t lock it. The initial toilet paper was lacking, hand Soap in a few bathrooms, no hand towels or wash clothes. Sheets were torn in the one master bedroom. The house was large just not maintained, I can look past the walls being beat up, some holes, patch jobs. Just a disappointing for the amount you pay.

Had everything we needed

We had 3 couples, and this home had all the space we needed! Great water pressure in the showers, and comfy beds. Some of the furniture was a little beat up, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. If you come in early May, considered when you might use the pool the most. We should have used the heated option because we would have used it more at night but it was a little too chilly outside. But if you’ll use it more during the day, it’s perfect. The location of this property is great. Really close to the clubhouse pool, which I highly recommend. There is also a Publix for groceries, and plenty of eateries if you don’t feel like messing with the I-4 traffic. The property owner is really invested in your comfort and makes himself available if you need anything. We didn’t lack anything, but if we had, I knew I could contact him. You won’t regret your stay here!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

We booked this property for 17 nights, paid extra for pool heat & grill. Upon check in, property wasn't cleaned. We spent 3 hours the first day of our vacation cleaning this house. This included washing all of the bedding as it appeared to not have been done. We finally found the towels in the washing machine, I think waiting to be washed. We vacuumed the entire house and emptied it 3 times. On top of that the locking mechanism for the back door was non existent (we were told it is a safe neighborhood and we shouldn't worry), and there were no thresholds covering the transitions from tile to carpet leaving exposed tack strips (dangerous and painful). The pool heat we paid for never worked (we were told to enjoy the nice weather the owner provided for us!!!) Not even a consideration of a refund for that. The grill we paid for was at best a charcoal camping grill. LOL. They also advertised that the rental came with access to the resort amenities (pool and such). That was a lie as well. We were denied access after they looked up his property in the no access book! In the end, it was so bad that we vacated this rental and re-booked another for the last 10 days of vacation. I was hoping to get a refund for the last 10 days, but also no consideration for that. The host will respond to this saying we were terrible people and not clean people, but I can assure you we left the house cleaner than its been in a while. He also says we broke his AC, THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED!! LOL!

Property is not child proof.

While the property did come with a dirty stroller and broken but usable high chair for meals. The pool was not gated. We found the pool gate the last day. So if you see it in photos moving forward— my husband put it up. The door to the pool had no alarm and so my 3 year old fell in but my 7 year old jumped in to save him. Thank God we were all down stair and were able to act fast. The game room in the garage isn’t shown in the pictures. Probably because it offered a ping pong table with one paddle and no balls. There are pan but one pot. This house was not worth it. We had a better time at the oasis. Please look for damages on your first night and inform the manager. We found many damages. It was also hard to communicate because the managers English was not read clear in terms of texting or verbal communication. You get what you pay for.

Overall good

We have stayed at champions gate before the oasis club and complex are great! This was our first time renting this property! The house definitely needs some attention, the transition strips between rooms have staples sticking up we had to lay towels down to ensure our kids didn’t get hurt.. the kids beds didn’t have sheets on them only comforters.. the furniture is starting to show its wear with pieces broken… Our biggest downfall was the pool unfortunately according to property manager the heat broke and wasn’t able to be fixed for the stay so for the entire week we couldn’t use the pool or hot tub! We understand that these things can happen and can be out of their control! We are supposed to be receiving a refund for heat! The patio furniture was very weathered and not able to be used! All the legs were rusted and broke we couldn’t use any of the patio furniture at all… Overall we enjoyed our family time the house could definitely have been a better experience we communicated daily with the property owner he was very apologetic… he told us he had ordered patio furniture to be delivered by Amazon but it never showed up… the patio furniture didn’t get that was overnight I can’t imagine this was the first time it was brought to his attention!

Spacious, clean and excellent location!

We love Champions gate and decided to stay again this year! The property owner was great, and kept in constant contact with us. Check in was seamless, house is very spacious, clean and beds are comfortable. Everything you need is within a 10 min drive or less. Parks are about 25 min drive but not bad at all. I was disappointed with the fact that the "spa" (Hot tub) was not heated. I was not aware we had to notify them 48 hours in advance that we wanted it hot, I have always been used to the hot tub being hot. So if you want a hot tub make sure to ask, with enough time. The grill is NOT included in the rental price. I did ask before hand and was made to seem as thought it was. We arrived and asked to use it and had to pay an additional $100. Which was fine, but the grill definelty needs to be updated. The left and right burners have to be lit manually (we are avid grillers and know how to do that) but for someone who has never grilled before or use to doing that they would be very disappointed. Other than those 2 small things our stay was wonderful and we would highly recommend this home and Ernesto is a wonderful very attentive host!

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Unless owner makes major improvements to the house, I would not recommend renting this property. The many problems occurred outweighed the fact that the house was in a good location to Oasis clubhouse/Pool. - broken lock on patio door compromising safety and security - heavily stain mattresses and rugs (no mattress covers) - lack of pots and pans to cook - HVAC grill bent and vent appeared to be in bad need of cleaning - broken hot tub and pool heating - BBQ burners rusted off and unusable - unusable rusted and broken patio/lounge furniture (although 4 chairs were delivered to the front door on our 2nd to last day) - water heater in garage leaking I was quite concerned that we had no access to Oasis Clubhouse/pool using the address we were staying at because it was blocked by Oasis management. Instructed by Owner to use a different address which he provided us to gain access to Oasis Clubhouse. Felt uneasy about this. Owner became aggressive in communication after pointing out the above problems. Also accused of having more than 9 people at house during our stay. We have rented villas several times in the past on the Championsgate Resort and never before did we have so many issues. Please know that….. The Championsgate Resort is a clean and awesome Resort and the Oasis Clubhouse/pool is fantastic so if you find a decent house to rent you won’t be disappointed with the resort.

Great Getaway!

We had a great time at the house, it was ready and clean for us when we arrived. We hit a small snag with the pool but the host promptly sent someone out to take care of it! The dishwasher was also broken at the time of our visit but this wasn’t a huge deal to us! The community is clean and full of friendly people. The clubhouse was such a fun place for the kids and ourselves to go visit.

Florida Vacation

The house in Champions Gate was very nice, exactly as described on the VRBO site. There was some mix up with the online payment but the host (Ernesto) was quick to respond and handle. The neighborhood was fantastic and the clubhouse and pool ( both at the clubhouse and at the house) were perfect. Overall a great vacation!!!

The property was just as described, plenty towels and other essentials. Got in pretty late from airport and had a little trouble with door code, pool wasn’t heated like I asked early on but overall good experience.
