Hi! Sorry you didn’t appreciate our Halloween decor! Just kidding. I’ll admit I was a bit shocked to see your review. I’m glad you found that the house was well stocked, and we were happy we could accommodate an early check in for your group. I was disappointed to hear the cleanliness of the cabin was to a point where you feel you can’t recommend us to others. The surprise mainly comes from the fact that I was responsive to any questions you had prior to arrival and then did not hear anything from you during your stay that something was amiss. While I wasn’t here to see what you saw, I will touch on a few things you mentioned. We do not use heavily perfumed detergents in an effort to accommodate folks with sensitivities. When hosts welcome other pets into their home, like we did for you, it would be reasonable to expect that it’s not going to be without a trace of dust, especially when there are also two wood burning fireplaces. The cabin uses well water, which can be hard, and can unfortunately leave lines and discoloration over time. As far as cobwebs on the exterior of a house that is surrounded by woods, maybe cabin life isn’t for everyone? I would have appreciated any photos of the issues you mentioned so that I can address those directly with our cleaners. Again, we can’t fix what we don’t know is a problem, and a private message to me or my cohost is always welcomed so that we can respond in a timely manner. We open our home to strangers and make ourselves vulnerable to their reviews and opinions. Constructive criticism is what makes us and other hosts better and I certainly understand wanting the value for something you’ve paid a lot of money for. I wouldn’t ask anyone to censor their experience for a review, however, a little thought and consideration goes a long way.

We're glad you were pleased with the cabin! Funny you should mention the game room...we are actually taking measures this month to finish it. Adding wood flooring, painting and some other little touches to make it more cozy. Thank you for staying with us!
