Bayfront Vacation Home!

Beautiful waterfront vacation home with gorgeous views of Mobile Bay in the Fort Morgan area. Enjoy magnificent sunsets from the deck and fishing from the pier. There are 3 bedrooms (one on main floor and two upstairs) and 2 full baths in this home which comfortably sleeps 6. Well equipped kitchen to prepare meals with open gathering space with plenty of seating. Enjoy the privacy of Ft Morgan but still close enough to enjoy all of the shopping, restaurants, and entertainment that Gulf Shores has to offer. Close to public boat launches and a historical Civil War Fort to explore along with other historical sites. This home is close to restaurants/shops at The Beach Club and other popular restaurants such as Tacky Jacks II, The Sassy Bass, Sassy Bass Island Grill, Kiva Grill, etc.
Fort Morgan Marina is only 6.9 miles away where you can choose from charter fishing, sightseeing cruises, or watercraft rentals.
Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is 4 miles away where visitors can enjoy the beach on the Gulf of Mexico, walk nature trails, and observe birds and wildlife.
If you enjoy golf - Kiva Dunes Resort and Golf is less than a mile away and The Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club is 7 miles away.
The "tourist area" of Gulf Shores is 13 miles to the east where you will find all of the typical beach town experiences such as mini golf, go kart track, restaurants, ice cream shops, souvenir shops, festivals, etc. Other area attractions within day driving distance include Waterville USA, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, The Park at OWA, The Wharf and shopping at Foley Tanger Outlets.

Great place to stay!

We loved this house! It was great! Our 16 year old and my husband caught so many fish off of the pier at all hours of the day. I loved the décor in the house! It was a short drive to the beach and everything you could need is within a ten minute drive. Great place!!!!

Perfect Location

My husband and I stayed here early May from a Friday til Monday. The house was perfectly clean, has an unobstructed amazing view, and the perfect location to enjoy fishing from the dock, just a few minutes to the beach, or drop the kayak in from the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean and comfortable stay

This property is close to everything, but not in the middle of the tourist area of Gulf Shores. It was clean and has an updated bathroom and kitchen. The only criticisms I have is that the glass side entry door neet a privacy shade and the laundry area needs to be updated. For the price and location, I would recommend.

Privacy with a view

We really enjoyed this bay front home. Our favorite thing about this home was the location! Beautiful view, away from the crowd, plenty of space for parking and turning around our kayak trailer. We also enjoyed the spacious living area with lots of comfortable seating to enjoy family time! The kitchen was well equipped, a plus for us because we like to cook our own meals. It fit our needs very nicely!!

Great spot

We loved this location! We made the short drive to a lovely beach each morning and afternoon and enjoyed the views of the bay while at the house. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for our small family. You do have to walk through the bedroom with two twin beds to get to the other upstairs and bathroom. It was not a problem for us, but something good to know ahead of time. We would stay here again!

Good Location

Great bay getaway

This was a great place. Needs some tlc, but in general we loved the house, location and dock. I really loved the two living areas and the A/C is great. Made us feel like home. We will definitely consider it again next time. Very responsive owner. Thank you Shonna.

Not luxury but charming and everything else

Perfect location, private dock(if you like to fish, we caught trout, pompano and 4 other species frim it), 2 story 3 bedroom, large deck overlooking the bay. The place has not been updated since built, however, it was clean and had everything you need and it was near restaurants, yet private. If you're expecting the Ritz, better go elsewhere, but if you want a quiet place with a view for a reasonable rate, this is it.

Great for price, could have been better

The stay was fine. Went for fishing but weather was bad most of week. Great family time. The only downside had nothing to do with the place but the house being built 40 ft away. If you don't mind construction noise then this place is good for fishing.

Cute little place, but definitely needs some maintenance and updating the downstairs tub is all cracked and the whole thing should be replaced. The decor is nice the cleanliness was really good however, I did have to clean broken glass off the dock from previous guests. I would stay here again if issues were taken care of. The weather was great and the small boat ramp up the street was easy to access and the fishing was excellent!

cold & windy

came in Jan, thought it would be warmer/ we were there for 17 days and saw the sun for a total of 4 hours. Many of restaurant's were closed. Those that were open gave no discount for off-season. It was a very quiet place to stay... fun to watch the birds fishing, however we had no luck, with crab or fish . if you are looking to veg in a nice, clean house... this is it in January.

I loved the property and location. Beautiful view. I would have no complaints at all except I suggest a new refrigerator because after a long drive I just wanted some ice water but the water/ice machine was broken on the fridge. Also one drawer inside the fridge was broken. All in all it was better than expected and I enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful location

Best part of this property is the location and stunning views. The inside of the beach house overall was nice but not as clean as I’ve seen in other places and needs some TLC. Don’t plan on eating at night at the dining room table because there’s no light in there, which is really bizarre. Beds are very uncomfortable but the furniture in the living room is nice. Kitchen is small but nicely equipped. Spend lots of time on the deck overlooking the deck because that in itself is worth it. Overall a good experience.

Diamond in the rough

This property has so much too offer, but no one is keeping it up or making sure everything works, or needs updated. The sad thing is it is such a sweet place, very quiet and relaxing. And great for fishing and crabbing. I read some of the reviews from past guest, and had hoped that things would have been taken care of. The deck has part of a missing board, that could cause an accident, 2 of the outdoor chairs were falling apart. Inside the refrigerator is horrible. Over half the shelves are missing and one of the main shelves is broken. No light in frig. There is no ice maker, and there was no ice trays in the freezer. Thank goodness after a 7 hour trip, I had packed some extra ice, so we could have a cold drink. One drawer in the kitchen has a handle falling off, just a matter of a simple screw. Some of the utensils are rusted and if you have to use the hand crank can opener you better have strong muscles. There are only 2 forks in the whole place. In the tv area there is a dinning table with a fan, but no light. There is one candle stick lamp way over in the corner, with a cracked shade that barely puts out any light. All bedrooms have one tiny candle stick light with cracked and worn out shades. The sliding barn door upstairs won’t stay closed. The bathroom upstairs I went to hang the guest towel on it and it fell off the wall, there was no screw holding it in. The chest upstairs I went to open the top drawer and the trim Fell off. The master bath door won’t stay open and the master bedroom has the one tiny candle stick light with a tiny closet and no light. What makes this sad is that these are small things that could be fixed in a short time, at a very small cost. I have stayed at many VRBO and have paid less and everything was in working order. I feel if you are going to rent out a property, it needs to provide what you are paying for. Lights to eat by, lamps that are not antique and will put out light, and a fully working refrigerator. There is no grass, but wild cockle burr weeds. Hard for a dog to go out in. When we arrived there was a high wood and cloth head board leaned up under the house, we had a strong wind one day and while we were out there it blew over, thank goodness it didn’t fall on my little dog. I must say that these things could be taken care of, if property management would see to it. There again, that’s why the subject was Diamond in the rough! It wouldn’t take a lot to make it sparkle again!!

Our week here was very relaxing! Being steps away from the bay/water was wonderful & being able to fish from the dock was fantastic. We loved seeing dolphins playing every day & the herons that frequent the area. Being able to watch the sunrises & sunsets from the property was amazing. Being able to sit on the deck or downstairs patio & enjoy the view all day is our favorite thing about the property. (Our only disappointment was the mold that we saw on all of the A/C vents.)

Disappointing

House was not well maintained or clean. Unsafe conditions outside due to not having lighting on the pier or anywhere outside the house. Very limited kitchen supplies. Yard needs attention along with the inside of the home. The laundry unit is outdated and rusted, and the laundry area is disgusting. The upstairs bedroom did not have blinds only shears. It took pest control 4 visits before they got the palmetto (cockroach) situation under control. This could be a nice home, but the owner obviously doesn't care to put any money back into it.
