The place needs a dehumidifier take the musty smell out. The last morning my son found an adult bedbug crawling on his arm. We looked and couldn't find any evidence of more. That kind of freaked me out. The rest of the stay was good. Location is great.

Host was very responsive and location was great but listing was outdated. Stated it slept 7 but there was only 1 queen and 2 twins. No sofa couch or any other beds for anyone to sleep. Max 4 people. They also had a bad beg bug infestation and we needed up not being able to stay. Layout is super weird and weird there is another room looking into one of your rooms of duplex. Don’t recommend unless problems are fixed and only 2-4 people staying.

Ideal location and a very good value for the money. It’s a 1950s home and it feels that way. We will definitely stay again.

The location of this place is awesome! We really enjoyed walking to the beach, and it was wonderful to have beach cruisers, a wagon and beach toys in the garage. The space is as pictured, and our family of 4 was able to spread out during our vacation. If I could suggest an upgrade, I'd go for cotton sheets and new mattresses.

We had a wonderful stay in 718A. Walking distance from the beach to watch the sunset, plenty of room to relax inside. The amenities provided in the bicycles and beach gear were very helpful. Beautiful neighborhood. Comfortable living room furniture, plenty of clean towels and sheets/blankets. Very easy to communicate with our host once we arrived. We will be back with our young children for another stay very soon.

Fabulous Vacation Property

We enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful rental. Plenty of room for the 2 of us. All the amenities we needed were there and it was overall clean. The location was perfect with only a short walk to the beach. We would recommend this to our friends and I look forward to returning.

This duplex has bedbugs, rats nesting under the stove, half of the lightbulbs are taken out so you can't use half of the lights and you can't use the the front or back porch light. There is mold on the ceiling vents which made me sick. Theres a leak right above the toilet in the bathroom whenever it rains, the twin beds are old, cheap and rickety. He ziptied the dishwasher so we couldn't even use it even though he had set out pods for it?? We had to go buy laundry detergent and toilet paper because he did not stock any, and we also had to reuse towels because there wasn't enough for a week. The yard is messy, unkempt, and has weeds growing taller than us. The trees in the back are diseased and dying, the grill doesn't even have gas and looked like it also had rats inside of it. And all the "beach supplies" in the garage like the bikes were broken or had flat tires with no pump. Also a random lady who did not identify herself got into the garage, did her laundry, and left and after that our stuff came up missing. If you are looking to rent something AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. This place isn't even close to the value of 1k for a week and the host doesn't even reply to you after you send him pictures of everything and demand a refund. Terrible terrible terrible. This man should be ashamed.

Great little duplex

This was exactly what we needed. We came to watch some Braves spring training games and go to the beach. The location was perfect for both. The neighborhood is quiet and just a walk around the corner to the beach. The house was clean and the beach accessories in the garage were nice to have.

Beach Side Family Reunion

Great location only two blocks from Venice Beach and a 10 minute walk to all the eateries, bars and shops on Venice Avenue in the old downtown of Venice. Space is comfortable with lots of amenities. Bikes, beach gear and BBQ grill provided is a nice touch which we made good use of. Host is very responsive to any questions or requests.

Venice Beach 🌴

Bishop was very easy to deal with and the houses location is superb. There are palm rats outside that we saw almost everyday and the beds were stripped when we arrived, other than that it was all great. We appreciated the beach equipment and bikes very much.

Nice place to stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was great!! We stayed for a week and a half. We were very comfortable there. We only had one issue and that involved the A/C (it happens in that extreme heat) but Bishop immediately responded to me and had it looked at as quickly as possible and fixed!! Then checked back with me to be sure it was working right. Great guy who actually cares that you are comfortable at his property. Would definitely love to stay there again.

Venice vacation

Booking, check in, and check out was easy. We didn’t need to communicate with the property manager at all. Instructions were clear prior to arrival and no problems once we got there. The house was bigger in person and the neighborhood was gorgeous. The house had everything we needed and more. Clean, comfortable, and close to the beach. Would absolutely stay again.

Stellar location!

Two blocks from the beach and about a mile from the quaint downtown area in a quiet safe neighborhood, I was able to walk everywhere. House is spacious with many windows and a lot of light coming in. Host was very accommodating and responsive. The only issue was a strong odor coming from the kitchen plumbing. Host says this is going to be replaced soon.

Spacious unit close to the beach

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It is spacious and has all of the essentials. The location is exactly as pictured/described, and the unit is well outfitted with furniture and essentials. The towels desperately need replacing and some washable blankets (as opposed to the older knit blankets) would be really nice. Washer and dryer in the garage are very convenient. The other issue we had was a very musty smell coming from the kitchen sink which really affected that whole area. Communication could also be a little better as far as knowing where the B unit is on the property and when to take out the trash, etc. We would return although I think the price is a bit high for the quality and only one bathroom.

SCAM

The property manager refused to provide any contact besides through the Vrbo app. When I arrived at the property it appeared deserted, poorly maintained, and door combination provided did not work. Despite attempts by me and Vrbo support staff for hours, alleged property manager did not respond until much later. I suspect this property may not even be owned by those representing themselves as property managers and the positive reviews are likely fabricated. Good news, Vrbo was available, tried to help resolve the situation, and then refunded my money!

Price for location is nearly unbeatable. Outstanding neighborhood.

We truly enjoyed ourselves at this rental in Venice Beach, on the island. Being able to walk to the ocean in 2 minutes is outstanding. The area is safe and gorgeous. My only complaint (not about the rental) is that almost all the shop’s in downtown Venice all close at 5 pm. My suggestion would be for each shop to stay open at least until 7pm, if not 9 pm. I would guarantee a lot of revenue is lost during the hours of 5 and 7 pm. Back to the rental, the property manager was outstanding. We realized there wasn’t a blow dryer, late the night we had arrived. The property manager had the blow dryer w/ Xtra TP, paper towel and a bottle of windex(I had requested the windex) nicely bagged and on the porch before we even woke up the very next morning. The property manager went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay & had what we needed. Would recommend this property, especially bc of it’s spectacular location. Also, it’s a true value, the nightly price is nearly unbeatable. If you decide to book, enjoy the ocean and be sure to get to the shops before 5 pm.

This place was as advertised. Quite neighborhood minutes from the beach with all the extras you need for a beach day. There were a few issues, beach towels left for us to use were wet and placed on the bed, making the comforter wet, bath towels were also folded and placed in bathroom rack wet. Also when we walked in we found 4 dead palmetto bugs throughout the duplex and the floors left our socks and feet black as they have not been cleaned very well, and with someone with a weakend immune system the moldy shower curtain was a issue and the previous tenants hair all over the shower. That being said if we were to vist venice again we would book the duplex again if we could guarantee it was cleaned better.
