Välkommen till vår ski hem uppflugen på sidan av Mammoth Mountain på över 8000 fot med panoramautsikt över staden och hela Owens Valley. Upplev den magiska Mammoth Mountain, Kalifornien främsta skidort featuring världsklass ner backen skidåkning med en 3000 fot fallhöjd. Höghastighets Quads minimera lyft linje ups, och över 50 pister det finns variation för nybörjare, nybörjare, medel och expert lika. Samla familj och vänner och gå med oss för en rolig skidsemester som kommer att dröja i dina minnen.

Lämna din bil säkert i garaget, bort från parkering och trafikstockningar i byn. Från vår ytterdörr, kommer några steg ta dig till skidspåret. Hoppa på skidorna och passera en väl preparerade spår till bunny lutning Canyon Lodge. Ski ner och hoppa på stolen och du är på väg till den första körningen för dagen. Vid lunchtid, gå tillbaka till lägenheten via Chickadee och en privat stig. Ta av dina stövlar, äta lunch, koppla av, och kanske en kort tupplur. Eller njuta av en lunchrast på en av restaurangerna på Mammoth Mountain.

Vid dagens slut, åka tillbaka till lägenheten och gå ner till jacuzzi och bastu att koppla de trötta muskler och sammanfatta de spännande körningar som du behärskar så väl. Om det fanns en tillfällig nedgång eller olyckshändelse, kan vi förstå detta "underlåtenhet" från konversationen. Senare på lägenheten, fortsätter "after ski" med ett glas vin eller en cocktail. Och som plack ovanför matbordet stater "THE WEIN KELLAR ÄR ÖPPEN - vardagliga". Måltider tillagade i Irenes nyligen utökade kök är garanterade att tillfredsställa de mest krävande och hjärtligaste aptit och utöka familjens budget också. Efter middagen kan du njuta av kaffe, mer samtal, TV eller en film framför den sprakande vedspis. En fullständig och tillfredsställande dag!

Efter en dag av skidåkning och "after ski", sova med komma tidigt för många. Våra gäster njuta av tre bekväma queen sängar, vardera på en separat nivå. Utökat loft / sovrum en är på nivå två, med en väggmonterad TV är öppen, ljus och glad. Nästa på nivå tre, är en stor säng / vardagsrum med en drottning säng, vägg-TV och utsikt över Sherwin Bowl och National Forest. Från nivå tre, tar omkretsen trappa dig till nivå fyra, till "sky watcher" loft / sovrum med en dubbelsäng, och är öppen, ljus och privat. Unga och gamla, njuta av svepande panoramautsikt över dalen. Master badrum, (nivå tre) har ett djupt badkar och separat dusch. Den nedre anläggningen, ett pulver rum, och separat dusch.

För de som söker en ledig dag från down hill skidåkning, det är superb längdskidåkning, snö mobiling, snö skoning i ryggen landet, för att nämna några. Eller när meterolog säger "stanna inne" njuta av stämningen i vardagsrummet, TV, en lugn stund och läsa, framför en sprakande brasa.

För kockar natten utanför det finns en uppsjö av restauranger, allt från (Angels) och mer exklusiva som Nevados, Tamarack Lodge plus restauranger i byn och på Mammoth Mountain Inn. Spis restaurang, är känd för rejäla skidåkare frukostar och middagar. Och ett besök till Schat bageri att njuta av egna smörgåsar, bakverk, konfekt eller "godis", är ett måste.

Vi njuta av alla bekvämligheter, bekvämligheter och bekvämligheter i hemmet, i våra hem i bergen och förvänta dig inte våra gäster att acceptera mindre.

Great Cabin

We had a great stay! Wonderful location- can ski in/ out. Kitchen stocked and had everything we needed! Irene is a wonderful host. We had a couple questions and she answered right away and was so pleasant to work with!

Very nice stay less than a block from the slopes

Well maintained, well stocked, clean, comfortable, condo with a very pleasant and helpful property owner. It's less than a block, moderately uphill walk to where you can put your skis on and ski down to Canyon Lodge, and a shorter walk on the return trip. The road was icy when we were there, which required chains; we didn't attempt to drive into the single car garage with our 8-passenger van, and instead parked in the community lot. The community recreation building has a large hot tub, men's and women's saunas, and an exercise room with resistance machines if skiing isn't enough for you. We'd go back.

Great condo near the slopes.

The property is perfect for a group of up to six. The individual sleeping levels works well! Although we stayed during the epic snow fall leading to the closure of the mountain, Irene was consistently available to help us navigate the unexpected limits. We hope to come back again in the future.

Mammoth stay

Irene made the visit seamless. We were in constant communication with her due to the weather and the surrounding home situations. We happen to be there during the epic snow accumulation. Not only was Irene helpful but the surrounding neighbors were helpful to me and other guest in the complex. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Time

This place really has everything you need. The owners are extremely responsive and ensure that you are well taken care of. The ability to walk to the ski trails is a huge bonus. The place itself has 3 floors and is in good shape. The garage is small and can be tricky if you have a large vehicle but there is plenty of parking down the way. Hoping to stay here again soon!

Amazing view! Well-appointed condo

Had a great stay! Loved the gorgeous view, the well-appointed kitchen, fireplace, and the nearby hot tub. Was ski-in/ski-out for advanced skiers, hike-in/ski-out for intermediate skiers. The insane snowfall this year necessitated SUV/snow tires/chains to access the property; however once we got there it was so cozy! Very comfortable beds. Great living space. Only sorry that the storms limited our stay there by a night on either end… would love to have stayed longer!! Great space and a great spot! Avoid Davidson Rd if possible and go via the Bridges (private connection to the complex if plowed/open - much safer drive!). Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again!

Ski in/ski out luxury

We stayed during spring break during the snowiest year on record. From the beginning, Irene was super informative & helped us plan ahead. It was the ultimate luxury to eat breakfast at the condo, walk up the road & ski down to lift 8 in the morning. Then, at the end of a great day of skiing, we would just ski right back to the end of the building. Unheard of!!!! The kitchen was loaded with anything you needed. The water was piping hot. There were tons of extra blankets to snuggle under. We are driving home now & we are all semi-crying because we do not want to leave. One of the best ski vacations EVER!!! Thank you, Irene!!!

First time to Mammoth, and we'd stay here again and again!

This is a great place to stay, and Irene is super helpful and responsive. Conveniently located near Canyon Base lodge - about a 5-10 minute drive. You can also walk up the street (walk shorter than a soccer field), put on your skis, and ski down either the Blue Jay (Black) or Antin Alley/Chickadee (Blue) runs to get to chair 8 or 16. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen, which had everything we needed to cook meals at home. The wood burning stove keeps it warm and cozy, and wood is provided. Beds are comfy and linens are soft and good quality. One bed is in the master bedroom (king size and plenty of space, the second is on a landing with no doors (we didn't need this space), and the third is upstairs in its own space (no door, but private). Showers had great water pressure, and there was plenty of hot water for all. The garage is small, but our Honda HRV fit without any problem. It snowed about 10 inches overnight, and the complex had the road plowed by 8 am. We love Mammoth and the condo and recommend staying here.

Great time in Mammoth Mountain

We had a great time at Jack and Irene's condo. The condo is very clean, spacious, but also cozy and exactly as described. We stayed there with 3 teenage kids and they had fun sleeping in the loft bedrooms. We never stayed at a place before that provided almost everything you need for every day - toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products, spices, coffee filter, wood for the fireplace..... we just had to add groceries. Yes, the garage is too small for an SUV but the parking lot for Timber Ridge is just around the corner and it only takes about 3 minutes to walk up to the condo. The view from the dining/living area is beautiful! The condo is a true ski in, to ski out it only takes a 300 feet walk to a black or blue slope down to Canyon Lodge. The condo is away from the hustle and bustle of Mammoth Village but close to everything you want for a ski vacation. We would definitely book this condo again whenever we are in Mammoth!

Some pros, some cons

This is a nice condo with some downsides. Pros: - everything is in good shape inside, nothing in disrepair - not dated like so many Mammoth condos - beautiful treetop views - quiet - decent mattresses - well-equipped kitchen, lots of wine glasses :-) - comfortably sleeps six in three beds - love the wood burning stove, lots of wood included Cons: - steep curvy road privately plowed, so it became unusable during storms until later in the day while public roads were clear - robust hike to skiing, NOT ski-in ski-out by any means (this would be better with more snow, but only if your party can ski down black diamond runs) - nylon sheets - garage is tiny, don't try to fit a mini van or big SUV in here - trash dumpster is a long way away, so taking out the trash is a journey - rec room/jacuzzi is an outdoor walk on a steep (potentially icy) road

Jack and Irene are excellent hosts!

I'll get the basics out of the way first, then explain the above... First off, the condo is great: fully stocked with everything you might need from cookware to spices, from tons of extra towels and sheets to DVDs and a Smart TV. A few things to note: not a good place for the frail, as the bedrooms are up stairs, with the 3rd loft bedroom being on a 3rd floor. I think it was also mentioned previously that the sun shines in pretty strong as soon as it's up so be ready to get up early if you're a light sleeper (unless like us you brought eye masks). If you are larger in stature you may find the upstairs (master bath) shower to be a tight squeeze...the garage and patio are also on the smaller side, but adequate (my full size pickup didn't fit, but all are gear did just fine!). Now onto Jack and Irene...they're great. I had to contact them late in the day on our arrival day due to an issue with the refrigerator. They quickly had a service tech out to check it out, and he ended up being able to make the repair...but she told me had he not they were prepared to either have us move to their friend's cabin, or drive out a new unit. That was impressive, IMHO. There was also a possible issue with the cable going from the DVD player to the TV and Irene was prepared to call into a few shops the following morning to pay for a new cable that I could easily pick up at the local shop. Also impressive... So, you know how there's those places you go (restaurants, bars, car repair, etc) that, while they might not be PERFECT for one reason or another, but the SERVICE is spot on? This is one of those places.

The property was extremely clean, cozy and the kitchen was stocked wonderfully. It was warm and the fireplace was a nice addition. The owners must spent a substantial amount of time there and it felt like everything was considered that is needed for cooking, baking etc… The living room was very comfortable and felt like home. The property can definitely be considered ski-in and the walk between the end of the skil trail and the house is 150 ft or less. „ski out“ is a pretty far stretch and requires a bit of a hike in full ski gear. We would recommend the place to be used by one single family only as there is little opportunity for privacy. Everyone can hear everything in the house (literally every cough, sneeze, conversation, toilet flush, walking down the stairs) even in the only bedroom when doors are closed. The bed in both loft bedrooms are broken, the broken frames can easily be seen when walking up the stairs, and they make a lot of noise when just turning from one side to another when laying in the bed. Maybe ideal for a couple that doesn’t mind the price, or a family only, but definitely not for mixed groups (with kids particularly). Irene and Jack were quick to respond and communication was easy. It’s amongst the highest up location in the area for lodging. Until about 1-2 before our stay it was impossible to access. As such the ice in front of the entire complex was pretty dangerous (our neighbors had some serious falls and injuries), we were fortunately spared. However the complex (or the owners) needs to do a better job in removing lengthy ice stretches right in front of the entire house, as the liability is pretty high. There was no (literally no) non-ice possibility to enter the house. In summary we felt that the property had some really nice features, but we are not sure if the price/value ratio is justified.

We had a great visit. The condo is in a beautiful, central location but you will need to be in good shape if you plan to walk anywhere as it is uphill from everything. Our electric bikes were nice for getting around. The kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked most meals in and enjoyed the views from the dining room table.

Great stay

3 adults and 2 kids comfortably stayed in this well-appointed condo. We were able to walk up the hill about 75-100 yards each morning to catch the run down to Canyon. The garage is tight, we luckily had one vehicle that fit. The hosts were easy to reach.

Originally from British Columbia, Jack and Irene have been avid skiers and outdoor enthusiasts from day one. Irene's career in banking and Jack's in education, brought them to Southern California. Their skiing interests have taken them to the major resorts of Canada; Whistler, the North Shore Mountains of Vancouver, Sun Peak, Banff and Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies, and in the east to Mont Tremblant, Quebec, and Stowe, VT. and in the U.S. to Sun Valley, Alta, Aspen, Snowbird, Park City, Lake Tahoe, and the resorts of Colorado. Their interest in Europe has taken them to the Alps, and to the resorts of France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and the Pyrenees of Southern France and Spain. The highlight of their skiing endeavors has been helicopter skiing in the Cariboo and Monashees of British Columbia. They are original Timber Ridge owners.

More recently, they have acquired an ocean front home in Birch Bay, Washington state and only 5 minutes from British Columbia and 45 minutes to Vancouver, B. C. They invite you to share it with them. VRBO #192841
