The condo was clean, but the light fixtures needed a good cleaning. The lighting was also quite dim in the unit. The mattress seemed to sink in the middle of the bed.

I had to send Debra a text via VRBO at 1:00pm for a 4:00pm check in as she had not reached out to us with check in directions on our day of arrival.Description and message she sent me the day of check in states there is a pool/spa/ fitness center. It was closed when we tried to go. I reached out to her and her response was “ oh I guess it’s that time of year.”The condo has had only surface cleaning done for quite some time. That wasn’t even done on the day of our arrival. Walls, floors, baseboards, appliances very dirty. Bathroom counter still had bleach cleaner on the counter, was not rinsed off. Light bulb burnt out in bathroom, dark. Light in kitchen very dim. Many of the dishes and utensils had to be washed before using. Bed very soft and when you laid down in it you rolled to the middle of the bed. Tried the couch was the same. Outdoor chairs 2/4 were broken. Stool in kitchen very unsteady. For the money we spent was very disappointed.

Everything was as described. The only snafu was on arrival the kitchen floor was covered in water. The owners immediately had someone come and it was found that that the water heater was leaking. They replaced it the next day. Wonderful hosts and look forward to staying again. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view of the lake.Fully stocked kitchen.

Did not have instructions to take out trash and then charged us 50 dollars for not doing so. Gate code was wrong as well.

Svar från VrboOwner 22 apr. 2026
Your response is not exactly correct. I send a sheet with very specific instructions for check out and emptying trash and putting dishes in dishwasher is on that list. My cleaner also said the unit smelled of smoke and I am very allergic to smoke so smoking is not allowed at all. Cleaner said place was a mess and they had to spend more time to clean. I have to pay them if they charge me extra. Also gate code messed up through HOA. I have no control over that. I did make calls and get you a code that worked.
