It was just like advertised

The place was perfect for my husband and myself. Location was phenomenal. The beach we used was quiet and not busy. We would stay they again, for sure. Close to everything. Cinthia answered phone when i called and only needed to speak to her once. Just perfect

Most problems were handled. No WiFi for several days and no TV. Otherwise, been coming to S5 for 10 years. View and 5th Ave. the best.

Great Place

Right on the ocean. Nice 1 bedroom. Owner was very accommodating when we had an issue or two. It was above Senor Frogs, who played music CONSTANTLY, but once all door were closed we didn't notice it. But could definitely hear it on the front deck. Front deck was quite big and just as the picture advertised. Didn't have an oven, but we make due with two hotplates and a toaster oven, which were supplied by the host. Kitchen was quite small, but we were only two, so it worked for us. A great place to stay if you want to be near the beach and very close to 5th Ave. We walked everywhere without any problems.

Great Location!

The location was great and beach access was easy. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to a grocery store, and literally right downtown where everything else is located. There were beach chairs and a beach umbrella provided, as well as a filtered water dispenser. One thing I didn't notice from looking at the pictures was that there's no oven or stove. There is a microwave and a single burner cook top. Some of the reviews I read mentioned noise from Senor Frogs. While we could hear it, it wasn't super loud, or annoying. The balcony overlooked the ocean, and it was very nice to have coffee out there in the mornings.

Horrible experience. Unsanitary. Please avoid.

The only good thing about this property is the beachfront location, other than that I had a horrible experience here.This unit lacks basic sanitary maintenance and I had to face an unbearable nauseating fecal stench coming from the sink near the bathroom. The host did not respond to this and I didn’t get a satisfactory response from Vrbo as well. The water supply was irregular and we had NO water access (including the loo) on at least three occasions. The host said this is due to power failures in Playa in general, however everything else seemed to be running when this occurred.Please avoid!!!

So disappointed

I so badly wanted to give this place a 5 star review, but I just can’t. For starters, it’s hard to find. Thanks to a helpful local, we were able to locate the entrance. Upon entering the apartment, we were greeted with a horrible sewer odor. I’m assuming it had sat vacant for awhile and the sewer got backed up. The more we used the water and flushed the toilet, the better the odor got. The bed was like sleeping on a rock and the pillows very flat and uncomfortable. The water in the shower was mostly tepid, and every couple minutes the water pressure would get strong and super hot water would come out. This lasted maybe 3 seconds and the water returned to tepid. This repeated the entire duration of the shower. The kitchen had a very small garbage can and no extra sacks. The perk of staying at a vrbo over a hotel is the ability to cook, but the kitchen didn’t even have basics like salt and pepper. Drinking water is advertised as an amenity, but we were left none. The furnishings were subpar at best, and there was no place to sit and eat. There are barstools, but they come up so high to the counter you can’t sit at them and have your legs fit under the counter. The sliding door to the patio was extremely hard to open. The only perk of this place is the location and view. It’s located right on 5th so everything you need is easily accessible. And the view is amazing. But I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this place to other travelers.
