We are from Colorful Colorado. We decided to get into the short term rental business after coming to Kissimmee several times with our family to enjoy everything the Orlando area has to offer. After discovering that staying in a house was so much more comfortable, relaxing and fun than staying in an overpriced hotel, we found ourselves making reservations for the same experience year after year! Getting away from it all is a big part of anyone's vacation; being able to decompress, relax and have family fun after a long day of park hopping, conference going, competition or sports training, being in your own villa is the way to go! I'm an interior designer and my husband, Jean is a tech geek with small project building skills and we have always enjoyed crerating new spaces together. We became empty nesters and decided to take our skills of designing and remodeling real estate on the road to Florida. We then purchased Houz of Bluz; a brand new home in the popular short term rental community, Storey Lake. As soon as we closed on the property, we moved in the property for 4 months, devoting every day to creating what we feel is one of the best rentals in the community. It was important to us to create a well-appointed space in a homey and truly relaxing atmosphere as opposed to just another run-of-the-mill rental property. Living there, we were better able to find what would be important to others when enting the villa. We decided to provide upgrades such as purchasing Sleep Number beds, installing a larger water heater and making HOB a smart home because we understand that things like getting quality sleep, taking a hot shower and ease of use of technology can make a huge difference when you're away from your own home.

Imagine after a long day, sitting out on your covered, private lanai, sipping a cool drink (perhaps a fresh margarita that you made in the frozen drink concoction maker), watching the kids swim in the pool and the birds enjoying the lake.

The next day you have planned a free day at one of the two of the amenity centers free for guests to use during your stay. From a workout in the morning to a float down a lazy river in the afternoon after ordering lunch at the poolside bar and grill, there is no better way to decompress.

And to top it all off, it was the location that sold us on the property. We are the closest short term rental community to Walt Disney World...Just 4 miles away and not the bumper to bumper traffic that you will find on the West side. There are many STR communities that direction, and most are within 6-8 miles of Disney property, but it can take you 30-40 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom's parking lot.
