Rock House Retreat - 2 miles from Spring River! Walking distance to restaurants!

Welcome to the Rock House Retreat! This gorgeous, newly remodeled rock home is right in the heart of Thayer, MO. It's about a block from the famous Country Cottage diner. Its also within a block or two of Dairy Queen, Pizza Inn, and Caseys. All these are an easy 5 minute walk. There is a city park with basketball court and tennis courts close by. As well as a Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Subway, good Mexican Place and more. It is right across the state line (2 miles) from Spring River, Mammoth Spring State Park and great trout fishing and floating. The home itself features a newly remodeled floor plan with lots of space for you and your guests. A large bedroom with 3 twin beds and a bathroom, plus 2 nicely appointed bedrooms with queen beds and a bathroom in close proximity. The large living room features a 60" 4K smart TV with built in Roku player. All the bedrooms also have their own TV with Roku. There is a nice front porch with porch swing. In the back yard there is a pergola with lights and fire pit that is sure to be your favorite hang out spot. If there are kids in the group, they will love the wooden playset with swings and a slide. Wifi, central heat and air, and free firewood are all included to make this your home away from home :)

Family Vacation

Really enjoyed Mammoth Spring State Park and how close it was - made multiple trips. The hosts were so helpful and responsive in providing items beyond the amenities listed. We had everything we needed and so thankful to have a place where we could all get away together.

Fun friends trip to the river

Found this house just a little ways up from spring river where we could hang out when not at the river. Super clean and nice house. Will definitely stay again!

Great place to stay in Thayer!

This was such a great place for our stay! The hosts were so helpful and easy to communicate with, and went the extra mile for us in more than one way. Home was clean, smelled fresh and was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Great Stay. Plenty of space, clean accommodations, well-located to town and near wedding venue. Comfortable rooms. Nice laundry area and good kitchen space. Only one request: A few coat hangers for the closets :)

great house in Thayer

Took a family trip here to go to Spring River. The house was great and spacious for the 7 of us. We did have trouble with one of the beds breaking but the host was quick to respond and offered to bring a new bed for us. Would definitely stay here again for our next trip.

Great little home

We came from texas to visit family. The home is welcoming very spacious and clean. We felt very safe as it was just myself and 2 children. The owners Adam and his wife were very nice and quick to help when there was an issue with yhe water heater. We will definitely use this home again when visiting.

Nice & clean home

Nicely remodeled home with several beds. Setup with thought given to the little things such as boxes of Kleenex, marshmallow forks, air cleaners, etc. worked well for us.

Working vacation

The place was clean. I enjoyed the kitchen with full size refrigerator. Also is was roomy enough for all of us to have separate bedrooms. The washer and dryer was a real asset.

Loved this place !

This house was very easy to find and was in town, peaceful neighborhood. The house was very clean and just well taken care of. We will definitely book here again when we come back. If your going rafting and book at Many Islands rentals it’s about 12 miles down the road and took us about 20 minutes to get there. The property owners always responded when I had a question about our stay. Great place to rent ❤️

Quiet getaway

Nice quiet corner that is still close to the restaurants and other parts of Thayer. Would highly recommend grabbing breakfast at the Country Cottage, which is just around the corner (and within walking distance) The only downside was that the internet service had connection issues, but so did the cell service in the whole area. A great place to get away from it all!

Adorable house close to the middle of everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at your lovely house. The only request i would have is to turn up the temp on the water heater. Our showers were lukewarm. Other than that it was extremely pleasant and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality!
