Det verkligt speciella och nyligen restaurerade historiska Thomas Blades House ligger centralt i det historiska distriktet St. Michaels, nÄgra steg frÄn stadsparken med magnifik utsikt över vattnet. Det Àr en 2 sovrum, 1. 5 badrum semester stuga. Priserna varierar beroende pÄ sÀsong och om vistelsen Àr veckan eller helgen. Vistningar pÄ en vecka eller lÀngre diskonteras, liksom bokningar i sista minuten.

Museer, butiker (inklusive livsmedelsbutiker och en drogaffÀr), restauranger, kyrkor, parker, tennisbanor, stadspool. bibliotek, den vecko bondens marknad och andra attraktioner ligger inom gÄngavstÄnd frÄn huset!

Huset Àr mycket bekvÀma och vackert inredda med period- och reproduktionsmöbler. Perfekt för en liten familj eller ett eller tvÄ par. Huset Àr ocksÄ en idealisk romantisk tillflyktsort för ett par. Det stora familjerummet och den stora bakre verandan skapar en idealisk miljö för avkoppling!

Huset byggdes omkring 1850 av Thomas Blades, en ung sjöman.

Den första vĂ„ningen i den ursprungliga delen av Blades House har ett vardagsrum och ett Ă€ta rum. PĂ„ baksidan av det ursprungliga huset pĂ„ första vĂ„ningen Ă€r ett KÖKENomrĂ„de anslutet till ett stort trĂ€panel FAMILJERUM. Det finns ett halvt badrum frĂ„n familjerummet. Baksidan av familjerummet öppnar upp av franska dörrar till en stor utomhus-PORCH med takflĂ€kt och matplats. Det finns ett dĂ€ck pĂ„ baksidan av verandan för grilla utomhus.

Den andra vÄningen i den ursprungliga delen av Blades-huset inkluderar ett stort sovrum med en dubbelsÀng och en antik barnsÀng (barnsÀngstorlek). Den andra vÄningen pÄ baksidan av huset innehÄller den stora MASTER SOVRUM med en king size-sÀng. Utanför en hall mellan de tvÄ sovrummen finns det stora badrummet.

En extra stuga och ett stort hus vid vattnet finns ocksÄ att hyra.

Didn’t use our car for 3 days!

My husband and two dogs and I really enjoyed staying at this property. Half the house seemed original and half an addition, and we appreciated staying in a part of history. We walked everywhere in town.

Cozy and Good Location

The house looked better than the pictures. It was very cozy and had everything we needed. It’s probably the best location for walking around town. Water pressure in the shower was decent, and the beds were comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Thomas’s beautiful historic home in St. Michaels! The house itself is stunning—full of character, yet updated with all the modern comforts we needed. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we could ask for to make our trip enjoyable.The location couldn’t have been better, Just a block away from charming shops, fantastic restaurants, and cozy cafes. Our favorite spot was the gorgeous waterfront park, just steps away, where we loved sitting by the water, taking in the view, and watching the boats come in. It was the perfect way to relax!Thomas was a wonderful host who was responsive, helpful, and made sure we had a seamless experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting St. Michaels. Thank you for a fantastic getaway!

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in St Michael’s. Clean and well appointed house. We only have two concerns: mattresses need to be replaced and second bedroom needs window coverings. You cannot beat the location.

Charming & Cozy!

We loved our weekend at T. Blades House. We parked the car and walked everywhere - to breakfast, the parks, marina, all the shops on Talbot Street, and met so many nice neighbors (and their canine companions) strolling the quaint little streets! The house was cozy as can be, with all the charm of a historic home plus modern conveniences. Gorgeous original heart pine floors, beams, and period hardware & furnishings — with nice comfortable beds to end your day! We would love to return next year!

Location is amazing!!!!

The location was unprecedented! Really short walk to everything. Car did not move once we arrived and member of our group uses a walker. Property was clean and accomidating. Very pleased overall. Will return again!!!

The location is incredible & the house is nice BUT there is construction next store so unless you want to get up before 8am on vacation, hear loud construction including machinery and asked to move your car to public parking lot - out of the driveway - its not the place for you. I really feel people should be made aware of this. Also there is 1.5 baths not 2.0 as listed in the top summary. AFTER the house next store (same owner by the way as this rental) is restored then I would recommend staying.

Good things come in small packages

The seemingly small cottage was deceptively large and well appointed on the inside. We also have a historic home so we loved the mix of original and contemporary additions. The screened in porch was especially delightful on a warm summer night. The location couldn’t be beat. Very pleased with all aspects!

Perfect Choice

The T. Blades house was the perfect choice for a two day quick getaway for my husband and I. The house is not only filled with period charm and character, but has been lovingly and perfectly restored to make it a very comfortable stay. Immaculately clean and furnished. The location is a 5 star, as well. One block to the main street with shops and restaurants, and two blocks in the other direction to the water. Can't wait to go back. Kathleen and John

Overall we enjoyed the cottage because the location was incredible and the air conditioning was great on a hot weekend. Beds were comfortable and the screened in porch was enjoyable. The antique furnishings and decor was cozy! We had a two year old sleep in the children’s cot in the second bedroom and used towels to cover the windows. Primary bedroom was very nice! Unfortunately we were visiting during a storm and the ants were EVERYWHERE. We couldn’t leave anything or dishes on the counter because the ants would swarm. We had to throw away a bunch of our new groceries. There was also a bunch of nails on the back patio (probably from the housework Nextdoor). Overall, we really did like the property! Just some cleanliness issues. We would return for sure due to the location!

Great location home needs attention

The location and proximity of the home was exactly what we had hoped for. The home felt like a handyman special and work was needed in every room. Rotten walls from water damaged, Windows’s closed and secured with zip ties, closets that we could not hang clothes because of other items thrown around. Seating in most rooms were not ideal and seemed more like an antique store than a place to relax. I will say the Owner communicates well and provides the basics. The stay was great but will not stay here again due to updates and cleanliness.

I purchased and restored the nearby Thomas Harrison House (VRBO 198445) in 1991. As my interest in the area grew, I purchased and restored the Thomas Blades House as well as the Washington Melson House (VRBO 359766) and John Bruff House (844888).

The proximity (walking distance) to the beautiful St Michaels harbor and to almost everything in Town, quiet street location, the architecture and the historic character of the house and area.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Walking distance to everything...harbor, shops, restaurants, museums, library, tennis courts, community pool etc. Large screened porch off of the family room. Very comfortable and relaxing home.
