Our house comfortably sleeps 6 guests with 1 king sized bed, 1 queen size bed, and a 2 twin beds.

Complimentary Wi-Fi, Netflix, tea, and coffee. The kitchen comes fully loaded with brand new stainless steel appliances such as a microwave, fridge, electric stove and dishwasher along with glasses, mugs, dishes, and cutlery.

Great Stay!

We has a great stay at The Shady Oak over Christmas break. It’s a clean, comfortable property on a quiet street. Our dogs loved the huge back yard!

Great location

Location was great. Neighborhood was quiet and house was clean. We enjoyed staying there as we visited a church that we had been wanting to attend. We also scouted the area as we are looking to relocate to attend this church.We would definitely stay here again if we come back to visit.

Needed better cleaning

Bathroom and living rooms could both have used better cleaning. Downtown stairs bathroom was dirty, hair on floor, etc. Living room table was sticky and there was something on the floor. House was fine for what we needed - but better cleaning in the future would be appropriate.

Nice house, needs work

The property was beautiful, and the house was fully accommodating for my family. However, the back door off of the kitchen was broken and would not close or lock. The property manager had his maintenance staff there within an half hour to fix, which was really nice. But we had asked for an early check but were denied due to the cleaning schedule, however when we arrived, we found fingerprints on the mirrors in the bathrooms and a black sock in one of the bedrooms. The cleaning crew did not report the door although they were the last people in the home before we checked in. Since we were there for a funeral, we thought that we could bring family and friends over just to be together and mourn, however, there was no smoking ANYWHERE on the property and could not have more than two cars. This seemed strict for a property that did not ensure cleaning.

Enjoyed stay

Overall experience was very good. We had no issues with check in or location of the property. Our only concern prior to arrival was based an a previous review stating the upstairs bedroom was warm and that the a/c didn’t seem to work well. The entire time we were there the temps were 95 and above. The a/c cooled the house very well and all rooms were cool almost cold at times.

House is old and needs lots of work. Air conditioning did not cool the upstairs room unless it was 65 degrees downstairs. Dirty oven/stovetop, dirty bathroom tile and floor tile. Electrical boxes hanging out if walls, paint drops all over floor of house. Only 6 towels for 5 days. Tried to speak to owner they just wanted more money for more towels. Very unhappy that owner was unphased with feedback. This owner seems to be using this money to fix as he goes. Wish I could attach the pictures

Restful retreat was great!

Highly recommend. We enjoyed our trip to Ft. Worth. The house was great. The upstairs bedroom was pretty warm but everything else was perfect. Nathan responded quickly and accommodated our last minute request to add an additional day.
