Small place, seems to have been updated recently which is nice. The no A/C wasn't fun but they did list that in the amenities. The biggest issue we had was the neighbor's dogs. That neighbor is a full time resident so we couldnt complain to VRBO, but they had 2 big dogs that barked INCESSANTLY and throught the night. With the lack of A/C requiring keeping a window open at night, it made it tough to sleep. Since this situation appears to be a permanent fixture since it's a resident, we are rating this 2 stars since I'm not sure what the VRBO owner can do to fix it.

Cozy Mountain Stay

Great sized place for my wife and I. Wish I had paid more attention to no AC, it was a toasty stay in July. Quiet place and within close distance of many things including Grandfather Mountain.

Nice area to stay at

Was a nice area to stay at. Only thing that really needs to be done is the hedges and garden area in front of the porch needs to be trimmed up and get rid of the poison oak.

Wonderful Stay!!

We had such a nice stay at sugar mountain serenity! A cute, cozy and clean spot to land with everything we needed.The condo was centrally located with lots to do within minutes away. We even had a snow day, such fun!! We would absolutely come back! Thanks for a wonderful weekend away!

Perfect

Everything about the property was swift, clean, easy access to banner elk and Boone. Pet friendly was a huge bonus for us. Just what we needed for a quick getaway.

Great location and size

The home was the perfect size for my two friends and I. There was a bed and sofa bed that was perfect to accommodate us. The only negatives would be that the home needs a serious deep clean and it is not a place for individuals with allergies. My friend and I were stuffed up and had difficulty breathing during our stay from the dog hair and amount of dust.

Great location with cozy cabin feel!

Couldn't ask for a better location! 6 min to Sugar Mountain and about the same to downtown Banner Elk. Lots to do near by but the condo is quiet. Updated and clean for the most part. We had 4 people and linens covered 4 towels & 4 pillow cases. We requested more and was told that was standard and we could do laundry if needed. We ended up being allowed pick up extra pillow cases (one of ours was dirty) at the laundry facility close by. Check in was very easy, nice cozy place to stay. Would recommend and would come back.

Snug but good

Cozy place to sleep while spending most of the time outside. A few things would have improved our stay. Please add the following items; toaster, colander and a grill. Loved the dog bowls, tin coffee cups and patio chairs.

Nice place to stay

Nice enough condo. Disappointed that there was no grill to use. Also didn’t notice that there was no AC. Landscaping was extremely overgrown with weeds. Otherwise it worked.

Me, my friend and mini Dachshunds mini escape

So took a short mid week to Saturday escape w my dog and dear friend to Serenity at Sugar Mountain and it was EXACTLY what we needed! The unit was ADORABLE! And clean, quiet and just right to forget about life for just a minute and the price was right!

Great location and tidy little cabin

Only negative was the pullout couch: The mattress was worn out and the frame was bent, making it hard to open. Otherwise, it was as advertised and right across the road from Sugar Mountain and close to great hiking trails.

Quiet cabin

It was quiet and peaceful no air conditioning but still cool with Windows open. There was a rotten smell but believe it was neighbors not the cabin. Very nice overall
