Could be better

We knew from previous reviews that the pullout sofa bed would be uncomfortable, and figured we would deal with it because the place is a good price and location. This was the WORST mattress I have ever laid on. Do not book this place if you plan to have adults sleep on the pullout. You can literally feel every single spring of the mattress poking into your body with zero cushion. And we are really not that picky about sleeping. Besides this absolute dealbreaker the place has so much potential to be awesome, if only the local property team would provide adequately for guests and respond to issues. For four guests, they provided 6 pillow cases, one comforter, and one throw blanket. There was an overly eager Vacasa representative texting me the whole trip asking if there was anything we needed, but when I requested an additional comforter and pillow cases they repeatedly told me they would notify the local team who would take care of it. We stayed for 4 nights and the local team never showed up or contacted us. On the first night the propane tank on the fireplace went out, and again the local team never showed up to replace it. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. The pros of this are great location for skiing sugar mountain, also nice specialized touches for dog guests like bowls, beds, mat and bones. If you plan to come, don’t expect the gas fireplace to have propane and bring your own air mattress and bedding if you have more than two people.

Great Stay Close to Sugar Mountain

The inside of the property was cozy, and advertised exactly how pictured. Only issue I had was the outside parking area had some cans left out from a different neighbor. Overall great spot though

Perfect cozy condo for 2 grandparents, 2 grands, and our golden retriever trying to pack viewing as much fall foliage, waterfalls, and Tweetsie ghost train Friday- Sunday.

Cozy spot for 2 with balcony

Loved the helpful text labels identifying light switches with lights, etc. The two Adirondack chairs on the balcony are comfortable and the little lights along the railing are adorable. Enjoyed the tvs in the livingroom and bedroom. The hill and narrow lane to the rental might be a concern in winter but no worries other seasons. Little extras for your pet are a nice touch.

Cute spot! But misleading listing.

The location of this property was very convenient and the condo itself was cute. However, the listing was misleading. The kitchen was VERY cramped and by no means as equipped as the listing described. Additionally the fire table did not work. It was moderately clean but there was a lack of attention to detail. It served our needs as we were mainly out and about but had expected more!

nice place

The house itself was nice. All the essentials you need. Just beware of the huge pothole in the neighborhood as you first arrive. I ran over it and it hurt my tire. Was loosing air in it all weekend long.

Great condo, great area

Cozy little condo with a lot to do around it. The place was nice and clean, I only gave it 4 stars for cleanliness because there were quite a lot of cellar spiders (completely harmless and not scary, just appeared everywhere in the house). Overall very nice stay

Disappointed

Not a bad area, close to a lot of things BUT I was told it was “ready” about 8 hours before I actually got there and I got there to a dirty rental. Couch was very dirty with leaves on it, towels in the kitchen weren’t clean, carpet definitely wasn’t vacuumed, spiders, spider webs and cob webs everywhere, and fireplace didn’t work. Quality of pans was very poor. I texted and was told it could be “re cleaned” but declined because my belongings were in the rental and didn’t want someone in there with my stuff. Good area, poor rental. Disappointed I wasn’t compensated at all for the poor quality. I won’t stay there again.

Great visit to Banner Elk

We met our friends for the weekend. They rented unit next door so great set up. Great pet friendly rental and area! Unit is nicely updated and comfortable, perfect for a small family group. Clean, internet and TVs worked great. Bathroom nice. Quiet at night in the area. Very good value for the price. Would recommend to others for a visit.

Very cozy

It was a lovely little getaway to decompress. Just perfect for me and my little dog. Loved that there were food dishes because I did forget his bowls. Netflix was perfect because it did rain while I was there and my little car isn't well equipped to drive steep wet roads so we just stayed in and relaxed. Only feedback I have is the little patio lights didn't work and I couldn't get the downstairs fan to work. Upstairs fan worked great but unfortunately I am a light sleeper and it was loud enough to wake me. Also would recommend a toaster for the kitchen. I didn't see one. Overall it was easy check in and check out and a nice little getaway. Just what we needed. Definitely wouldn't mind staying again.

Beautiful Place, but ...

This cabin is beautiful and very close to Sugar Mountain. You can walk around 5 minutes to Sugar Mountain Parking Lot #6 and take their bus. In my case I give them 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. Sofa sleeper had excessive amount of dog fur. I know this is a pet friendly place, but lack of cleaning is not negotiable. 2. The cabin did not have extra sheets and covers, for pillows and sofa sleeper mattress. 3. Sofa sleeper mattress was very uncomfortable, I could feel all the springs. I have stayed in many apartments to ski, but all of them had memory foam sofa sleeper mattress. 4. My reservation was for 3 people, but the cabin only had 2 towels in the bath. 5. I had an emergency where my car was stuck in the snow and was not able to leave the cabin by the check out time. I sent a message to explain the situation to make a late checkout, initially the person that texted me said should be no problem. Later I called to confirm that I will be able to do late checkout and they said was not possible. I had to paid an extra day to be able to leave later that same day.
