INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Dolphin Cove

The only complaint I have was the beach access.The shuttle to the beach was nice but the beach was extremely crowded and even though we rented chairs with the umbrella it didn’t guarantee you a decent spot on the beach.The house was perfect.

Overall Great Stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay! In the garage we found a cooler, sand toys, and beach chairs, which was a nice surprise because when booking I was told there was no beach chairs included. This place is right down the road from the pool and right across the street from The Big Chill... which was really fun! We could explore 30A from this location without driving long periods of time. Beach towels would be a nice addition! My only complaint is the front load washer. We went to do a load of laundry and it was wet and moldy on the inside... it smelled horrible! My kids enjoyed the golf cart but we didn't take it too far to avoid backing up traffic since it only goes 19 mph. Overall everything was great!

We never wanted to leave

The place felt like home. Our goal was the beach from 7am - ~3pm and our mission was accomplished! We went in April, which was nice but if you want more sun and the water to be warmer you should go between May and July. We mostly cooked our meals, but the area had a lot of restaurants. We loved the crawfish truck at the Big Easy across the street that came on the weekends.

Clean, convenient and comfortable

This unit was great for us. Family of 3. The unit comes with a golf cart, bikes and easy access to The Hub for meals and entertainment. Property owners were very responsive and since I had work calls, I like the private desk space. Having laundry in the garage made sense as it can be loud. WiFi and cell reception weren’t great but that would be the same in any unit. We are pretty low maintenance so this worked well for our needs.

Never renting this unit again

It is ridiculous to have a washer/ dryer in the garage. Besides being in the garage even though there are hookups inside the unit, it was complete unsafe to access. I was constantly moving bikes out of the way to get to the washer and dryer. Unnecessary and unsafe! The property was subpar on cleanliness. The microwave did not work. When we went to get the golf cart key out of the lockbox, it wasn’t in there. Therefore we had to go to the office to get the key. It’s pretty basic in my opinion to make sure it’s in that box before the next renter arrives. Like a lot of people, we have come to this area twice a year for 20 years. This was one of our least favorite accommodations and experiences.
