Historic one-room schoolhouse built in 1895 restored and ready for a quiet romantic retreat! Situated in the country surrounded by over 150 acres of cropland! Watch a gorgeous sunrise or sunset; marvel at the mesmerizing firefly dance over the fields at dusk. Inside, you will have the entire schoolhouse and private screened back porch to yourselves. Step back in time and imagine the hustle and bustle of children attending this schoolhouse in the 1900's! The one-room school room is open-concept where you will find a luxurious king size bed and a sitting area for snuggling and a large 65" Smart TV with Roku. Also, you will find a game table and chairs, a desk/chair (free WiFi) and a beautiful antique backlit bar (byob!) Upstairs is our tranquility room complete with aromatherapy, soothing water fountain and sound machine to create your personal mood while treating your partner to a massage on our professional grade massage table! Also on this level you will find a full bath with tub/shower combination. Back downstairs, you will find the kitchen and screened back porch with an additional Roku TV (In season). The kitchen has an electric apartment-sized stove/oven, toaster, blender and microwave. There is a single serve coffee maker (some pods are provided). There will be a propane gas grill for your use in season (May through September). A list of local eateries, wineries, breweries and food delivery options will be available in the home.
PLEASE NOTE: Property is not handicapped accessible or suitable for children or pets. The screened back porch, kitchen and half bath are ground level but you will need to navigate four stairs upward into the one-room school room and an additional flight of stairs to the loft/tranquility room and full bath. This home sleeps two only.
NOTE: An outdoor only "door cam" security camera is in use that covers the parking lot and outdoor entrances.
We DO NOT have provisions for EV car charging at this time.

We are excited to share this unique and beautiful property with you! Bob and I have been married over 40 years and have spent a great amount of time traveling and understand what it means to want to just get away, relax and be pampered! We consider ourselves blessed to be the stewards of this unique home and have worked hard to create this space for our guests! We have spent many years collecting antiques; many of which you will find inside! When we aren't on vacation on our own property, we love the beach, the Great Smoky Mountains and the deserts of Arizona! You will most likely meet Lily, our cat, who tries her best to greet guests at some point during their visit! We live in the loft of the carriage house that is also located on the property but is a separate building. You will have complete privacy to your home and gardens but should you need anything or if we can answer any questions, one of us will be available!

This property provides guests with a quiet retreat in the country to relax or, hop in your car and we are less than 15 minutes to most everything a city has to offer! Local area attractions such as the Mid-Ohio Race Car Track; beautiful Kingwood Center Gardens; the Ohio State Reformatory (Shawshank Trail); Apple Hill orchards; The Bible Walk Museum; the Ohio Bird Sanctuary and beautiful Clearkfork Reservoir/Marina. For winter enthusiasts, Snow Trails Ski resort is approximately 26 minutes. For water activities, the Clear Fork Reservoir and Marina is 9 miles away; rent or bring your own kayaks - it is absolutely gorgeous on the lake and very frequently you will be able to observe Bald Eagles. Adjacent to the reservoir is the Ohio Bird Sanctuary (one of my favs). We are also a short 15 min. drive to several access points onto the beautiful paved B&O Bike trail. Cedar Point amusement park and famous "Amish Country" are each approx. an hour or so drive.
Great dining is also just a 10-20 min. drive away ranging from all the fast food choices to wineries, breweries, and fine dining. An extensive list is provided in the home. Three major grocery stores, gas stations, walk-in medical clinics and a hospital are also just 10-15 min. away.
