Great location with an incredible view of the ocean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had an amazing vacation. The house was beautiful, very clean, very well stocked and so much room for everyone. Royal Destinations was very responsive and helpful when we needed them. The location is so convenient. The only small negative would be that it is right next to where the vehicles drive onto the beach but that really wasn't a problem. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to others!

Double check the name on the contract, what you book on line may not be what you get. Was suppose to have a house for 20 with a pool, got a house for 14 no pool. Same name...what are the chances. Hawks nest on the beach is perfect location in Grayton.

Excellent Location and Accomodatioins

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hawk's Nest turned out to be one of the reasons that our stay on Grayton Beach will be a treasured memory forever. The location is right on the beach and large windows with balconies on each floor provide dramatic views of the beach and Gulf in all directions. While beautifully decorated, the house provided both, areas of seclusion and privacy, along with a gorgeous large gathering area on the third floor. The two full size refrigerators, separate icemaker, and concealed washer and drier were a real convenience located in this same area. Our family will definitely be looking forward to staying here again on future trips to Grayton Beach.

Splendid Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in the perfect position, views of the beach from every room. Well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked, 2 sets of washer and dryers. Easy living for large family.The pool is more of a dipping pool, but still lovely.Only thing that needs addressing are the heavy blinds that are tough to open and close... and when open you can be seen from the beach especially at night...yes the windows are tinted but you are still visible.We would definitely return, the management company was responsive and friendly.

Great Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, Hawk's Nest met our needs. Service personel was prompt to respond to a couple of minor issues that arose. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out with mulitple balconies. Location to the beach and other Grayton hotspots was great. For those with difficulty using stairs, this property will pose a challenge with the main living area on the third floor. This amenties listed a grill, but it was not adequate enough to feed a house full of people. I expected more since the house sleeps up to 14.

Hawks Nest Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hawks Nest was a fabulous location. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for cooking, baking and serving our group of 12. The furnishings were very nice, and the layout of the house was spacious and comfortable with gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico and the adjoining dune lake. The only downside was the plumbing. The main level toilet was not working when we arrived, and one of the downstairs toilets became unusable during our stay. The property management was quick to address our plumbing issues, however, and a maintenance man arrived within one hour of our calls.

House was dirty

This house was not clean at all and definitely was difficult to stay in. It was our entire family and we were all very very disappointed considering the amount of money we paid to stay for the week. We have never had this problem with any other house we've rented in The Destin area. The elevator was not working when we arrived. Two of the beds were broken when we arrived and two guys came and set them on the floor for the night until they could be repaired. The duvet covers were not clean. It appeared like there was snot & blood on two of them. Two of the bunk beds had NO blankets so the kids doubled up on the bottom bunks. Also the house had months of dust accumulated on the night stands and light fixtures in the bathrooms. The slip covers on the furniture in the living room were stained and dirty. We made several calls and a couple of things were resolved but they couldn't do anything about dirt, dust & overall cleanliness. Didn't offer to send cleaning crew in. Overall I would give this house a 0 out of 10. We have tried to come to an agreement with Royal Destinations & the owners and they offered a small stipend which was not acceptable to us. Very disappointed for our only Family Vacation for the summer. Also only one exit door in the entire house which is on the bottom floor.

3 families end of summer vacation

Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at Grayton Dream. 8 kids and 6 adults fit comfortably in this space with a large kitchen and two laundry rooms serving us all well. The home is beautifully designed with a modern but comfortable beach vibe. The bedding, pillows and mattresses were very comfortable (and I am pretty picky when it comes to these items).The location was perfect with views of the lakes and the gulf, a short walk to Red Bar. The house came with bikes but two of them need a bit of repair so you may want to bring your own or reserve some. Having owned a beach house about this size, I know the maintenance is unbelievable and the salt air destroys everything quickly. The grill downstairs was in good shape and you can tell the management company is responsive. Something to be aware of: most homes have a check in time of 4:00 but this one is 5:00. I assume it is because of the size of the home and how long it takes to clean. With Red Bar being a few feet away, who cares? But just keep it in mind when planning your arrival. Also, there are no beach towels with this home so pack your own. The home towels are very nice quality, white and in very good condition. They do not belong on beach chairs covered in sunscreen, in my opinion. Plus it makes for a ton of laundry because you will run out of bath towels. While the kitchen is well appointed, you may want to bring your own knives if you cook a lot, or at least a sharpener. Also, mind the garbage days and get the trash out early. We missed it and with three families and a lot of cooking, we ran into problems by the end of the trip.

We surprised our team with this beautiful home overlooking Grayton Beach. It was perfect! Customers service and communication was top tier. The home was perfectly described and everything we expected. The proximity to shops, restaurants like The Red Bar and Chiringo made it even more perfect! *Cant help but recommend some throw blankets!
