5 day stay

We liked how remote it felt, despite the fact that neighbors were all around. I loved the idea of the outdoor seating/fire, which was one of the selling points for me, but we never got to use it because it was always damp and filthy from the trees. I realize it is in the woods, but maybe different coverings, so it could easily be wiped down and not absorb moisture? The shower door in the master was broken, so it did not shut properly and little outdated in there, but it looks like owner is gradually updating. Had adequate kitchen supplies, however, we did have to laugh at the men using the baby forks and spoons, so maybe eventually get some normal size ones? We had power outage and minor discrepancy with checkout time, but owner was good at replying and very helpful. Overall, our stay was good and none of the minor things made it less enjoyable. I would stay again.

Nice but very dark

This property was nice. The living room and dining room were very dark. There are no overhead lights. When we arrived the hot tub was dirty and the shower door in the master bedroom was off the track. The owner fixed it quickly. On our second day we found mouse poop in the kitchen sick and some food was eaten by the mouse.

Nice & secluded.

This property was up on a hill surrounded by nature. Even though there were homes below us, you were alone. We were able to fit 2 small SUVs & 1 car in the small gravel driveway. There were a few discrepancies though between our email & a list on the fridge. One was that our confirmation email said check out was at 11 a.m. & a paper on the fridge said 10 a.m. the host cleared this up. Another was on my email that said beds needed to be stripped while the list said to leave them unstripped.

Great place to stay!

Plenty of room and clean when we got there. The only bad thing was no propane so we couldn’t use the grill. Nice and quite and everything worked properly.

Great Place

The property was great. It felt like a home away from home. It was just far enough from Gatlinburg that it was peaceful, but it was super convenient to run to the grocery store and back.

Close to everything but far enough away.

Location is perfect if you want to get away from the busy of the main drag of Gatlinburg. But close enough to still enjoy the hustle bustle of Gatlinburg. Hosts are very responsive to issues.

Too many spiders all around the hot tub. Did not get to use it. Back porch had spiders everywhere so we couldn’t enjoy the back deck. Other then that. The house is very nice I. The inside. Only the master bedroom has a tv other than the living room. Beds sleeps really comfortably.

Cute house

This house was really cute but very dated. There were little flies (looked similar to fruit flies) all over the place. We killed so many over the weekend and there was still a lot of them. They were in the shower. My guests felt uncomfortable taking a shower because the bugs were resting on the shower floors and walls. We had to put a sheet over the window for privacy in the master bedroom because there were no curtains. No curtains in the master bathroom either which made me feel uncomfortable. Some windows were frosted but not all of them. We arrived at 3:10, which was 10 minutes after check in and the cleaning team was still there for at least 20 minutes after we arrived. She did a poor job cleaning. There was hair in the bathroom floor and on the bathroom sink. There was a dirty dish sponge with food in it sitting on the sink that smelled bad. There were a lot of holes in the comforter in the master bedroom. It needs to be replaced. The ceiling fan was hanging in the master bedroom. I was concerned that it would fall on me while I was sleeping. The owner was really nice. He allowed my caterer to come early to set up food prior to my arrival so I really appreciate how he accommodated my request. This was my first time renting a property for travel. I usually stay in hotels and I think I will stick to hotels for travel from now on.

Time for the family before school starts

This is a great centralized location so you can go in any direction. We had a few glitches with kitchen equipment but the owner was made aware and will be having those repaired. Good for families or couples. Very clean.
