The Acorn Suite is a queen suite with its own entrance located on the garden side of a 1888 home, formerly an inn.

Located in Flat Rock Village, you'll be a short stroll to shopping, restaurants, bakeries, a coffee shop, wood-fired pizza, BBQ, a salon & spa, the Flat Rock Playhouse, plus hiking trails at the Carl Sandburg Home historical site.

We're centrally located to many excellent excursions:
8-minute drive to Hendersonville,
15-minutes to Dupont State Recreational Forest, (NC's Land of the Waterfalls!)
20-minutes to Tryon International Equestrian Center,
30-minutes to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.
Plus, orchards (5-minutes to Skytop and 15 to Grandad's and Jeter Mountain) and, vineyards! (15-minutes to multiple vineyards including "best new" wineries, Stone Ash and Marked Tree).

Beautiful scenery

Wonderful property with access to a few quaint eateries. Easy check-in and communication with host. Enjoyed our stay immensely!

Hidden Treasure

This historic house was just what we were looking for, quaint and charming. The host was awesome and very informative. The house is located within walking distance to a Little Village where you will find the Fireside Grille. The food there is phenomenal!

Flat Rock Review

The owner, Jenny, was very easy to communicate with. My wife and I met the husband, but I forgot his name. He was very friendly as well. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. There is a sidewalk that leads to shops and restaurants. My wife and I walked with our toddler in the stroller all over the area. It was a great stay!

Perfect

We wanted a quick, one night getaway and this did not disappoint. Jenny was easy to communicate with and greeted us on arrival with her warm personality. Little touches like fresh cut flowers in the living area were extra nice. We like to walk to places if within walking places (walked to dinner and Flat Rock Playhouse), and Christopher went out of his way by meeting us with a flashlight on our way home when he and Jenny noticed how dark it was near their home. The inside pictures are accurate -- yet the outside pictures do not do the property justice. It is a beautiful historical home. We hope to catch another play sometime in the future and highly recommend this property!

Magical little spot

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property was spotless, decor charming, and bed comfortable! Wifi was strong and I was able to work when needed. The gardens around the house were stunning. The location is amazing. Walk to fabulous coffee shops, close to hiking, 30 minutes to Asheville. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Perfect space, great location, kind hosts!

Loved this detail-rich historic space. Jenny was lovely (as was her garden). Lots of extra special touches included. Flat Rock's downtown is just a few blocks away. Make sure you try the Flat Rock Village Bakery!

This is such a special place!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Acorn Suite! Jenny & Christopher became our new friends and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay! Everything is as was stated on VRBO. It’s even more beautifully decorated than the pictures show — and so very comfortable. We truly recommend a stay in the Acorn suite and explore the Flat Rock area.

Perfect in every way

From beginning of booking to leaving the property, every aspect was comfortable, easy, and perfect. We loved the personal touches for our stay (puzzles, drinks, etc.), and the location to activities and food (best bakery ever) was a short walk away. We highly recommend and would love to go back for a future stay.

The pictures don’t tell the whole story. you must see in person, so nice and clean and professionally decorated too! The hosts, Jenny & Christopher are super nice and a joy to chat with!
