Feast your eyes on this awesome and unobstructed view of the West Elks Mountain range and Grand Mesa from our big front porch! The house features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with sleeper sofa, fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and a second living area downstairs. Outside you’ll find a patio with fire pit where you can sit around a campfire and enjoy the incredible view of Needle Rock and surrounding mountains. We also offer an RV site with full hookup. The Black Canyon is nearby, where you can take in the awesome views and some amazing hiking. Also Crawford reservoir, which offers the opportunity for fishing, boating, kayaking etc, is just down the road. The small town of Crawford has a coffee shop, cafe, and other unique shops. Also a convenience store and hardware store where you can buy groceries and other necessities.

Great Astrophotography site with over 30 deer observing.

Fantastic dark sky site in a Bortle 2 classification. Perfectly clear skies for great astrophotographic conditions. The wildlife was awesome and house was perfect for us.

Comfy house with great view

The house was very comfortable and very clean. They had everything we needed there. The view was absolutely gorgeous and I love having my coffee out on the deck in the morning.

Annual Girl’s Getaway

My mom and I take a trip every autumn and we chose Black Canyon of the Gunnison this year. It was a pretty lowkey trip and this hike was the perfect home base for the week! Very clean, very inviting, very comfortable and quiet!! Carl was very responsive and helpful! We had a blast and would definitely come back! Thanks for an amazing week in your neck of the woods!

What a great view

Can’t imagine a better place to stay if you are visiting the black canyon. Wonderful setting, super private and quiet. Wildlife everywhere. Host was very quick to respond to any inquiry

Amazing views

Great little property with amazing views. Wildlife near house each day that our kids enjoyed seeing. Quiet nice to get away without hussle and bussle of city life. Thank you for a great two night stay. House was clean and organized. Thank you again!

Jaw dropping views

From the moment you pull up and round the corner when you walk into the house, you are met with AMAZING views. Everything about this place was top notch. From the decor to the extras in the pantry/fridge to the fire pit outside. It was perfect for exploring for the north and south rims of Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Our family of 5 had the best time.

Amazing

We showed up at about 10 pm and went to sleep, but the next morning, when we woke and had a coffee on the back porch, all my wife could say was WOW! Beautiful views and stunning scenery. We will book this again!
