Angil Fire Ski Trip

We recently traveled to Angel Fire for a family ski trip. The property was able accommodate our entire family which included 4 grown children and their spouses and children for a total of 18 total. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The view was spectacular. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Grandkids can't stop talking about it!

We have been home from our family vacation for a few days and the grandkids and the kids can't stop talking about it. The relaxing view, fun things to do within a half hour, sitting on the front porch, hiking, a kitchen with everything you need, the infinity table...I could go on and on! Kerri is amazing and wanted to make sure our family had everything we needed. She will answer all your questions and wants to make sure you and your family have a good time. A home we would visit again!

Spring break

The home was beautiful with plenty of space. Very private. The electrical was a little strange like the original home was added on to and they only had so much power to work with but it really wasn’t a big deal to us. Very comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Great family/ large group rental

We had a family gathering here and not only is the property large enough but the views are gorgeous and the common areas are great for both gathering all together and for having enough space to spread out. The rooms are large and have plenty of beds. The kitchen is open and inviting. The front deck was great for watching out children go sledding. The owner is super friendly and responded so quickly to any question we had. We loved our stay and will hopefully be back very soon.

Awesome Family Getaway

My family and myself stayed at Trail's End Ranch for a much needed vacation and reunion. We were all extremely satisfied with the house and location. There was plenty of room for all of us and we found the house to be better than described. We cooked and laughed and had a great time. Did some sight seeing and relaxing. Kerri, our host, was wonderful and available. Will definitely try to return to this magnificent property.

3 Large Family Vacation

We had a great time! The location is majestic and the cabin is beautiful! The only complaint is that there needs to be more lighting in the cabin. We stayed up late to play games, and had a hard time seeing the games sometimes. But the cabin was great for all ages!

Best View

Exceeded expectations with great view of the valley and mountains. Does require dirt road access but does not at all require 4x4 except in snow or maybe mud. Everything worked. Very private.

Great property!

The home was wonderful. We had 10 people in our group, and we were all comfortable. The beds are fantastic, and the kitchen is well-appointed. I definitely recommend the property for anyone looking to stay in the Angel Fire area!

Winter getaway.

We enjoyed a long weekend at this rustic cabin. It was well furnished and had lots of activities. VRBO itself was a bit of a hassle to deal with as it had locked out the owner's account, and I had to reach out to them to get check-in instructions. After that, communication with the owner was easy and responsive. I hope to stay here again soon!

Beautiful getaway

Kerri the host was amazing from start to finish. Quick to respond to questions and was so helpful once we arrived. House is amazing perfect place to get away from it all, with all the convinces of home! Steam shower fully set up kitchen. Will be returning during the summer to sit on the porch have a few drinks and watch the elk and turkey go by. 10/10 experience recommending to all my VRBO friends !

Beautiful cozy cabin!

Perfect for our family vacation! We loved sitting on the large front porch enjoying the amazing views, the large porch in back was perfect for having an evening fire and making s’mores with the kids. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable and well stocked. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful and serene location

We all had a wonderful time. The location couldn't be better. It is so beautiful and so serene and relaxing. The kids loved it also. They had plenty to do with hiking, roasting marshmallows and playing with the infinity game table. The kitchen was well-stocked. It was easy to prepare meals for 11 people.

This is an awesome property, with excellent management

This is the best home I've stayed at over the years, and it's largely thanks to the excellent service provided by the owner. Questions were answered quickly, added to an absolutely beautiful location and home, makes for a perfect vacation. My sister left a sweater she'd been knitting for months at the home, and the owner found it quickly and is mailing it. Thanks so much for a wonderful, wonderful place to stay.

Stellar property, beautiful house, lots of beds, very cozy!

Want to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but actually be twenty minutes from a small resort town? Done. Want a patio with sunsets with elk and the sounds of nature? Done. Want evergreens and aspen trees and a massive porch where you and your friends can watch the sunrise and sunset? Done. Want to see the contrails of jets flying so high you can't hear them but that cut brilliant fuzzy/cloud lines across a blue sky? Done. Want a full sized kitchen where you can cook a homemade pizza along side three casserole dishes for your 11 friends? Done. Want to be able to drive to hike into the forest on trails for all ages? Done. Want to be able to pack your mountain bikes into your truck and bomb down some stellar mountain bike runs? Done. Want to be able to drive to Red River to get growlers of killer Farmhouse ale in less than hour? Done. Want to be able to drive Taos to visit pueblos and art for a day trip and then see the Rio Grande gorge? You can do that too.

Amazing Property

Our stay at Trails End Ranch was fabulous! Words can not describe how lovely the home was and how beautiful the views were. The home was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and everything we needed was provided for. The home accommodated our family of eight perfectly. We took day trips into Taos and Red River and went hiking on a few of the trails nearby. Some went mountain biking and played disc golf on the mountain top. Our favorite time though was being together in this beautiful home grilling, sitting by the fire pit star gazing, and just soaking in the beautiful views. Karen was so easy to communicate with and was a wonderful host. We appreciate having had the opportunity to stay on this amazing property!

We have been coming to Angel Fire for the beauty and scenery combined with year-round activities forever but it remains small and private with the convenience of larger cities nearby and without the prices of our neighboring Colorado resorts. Drivable from all surrounding states so you can bypass the airports if you desire, making it so much more affordable for the couple with 6 kids!

This family homestead is less than a mile from where scenes were filmed meant to depict the beauty of Montana in the world famous movie, Lonesome Dove. It seems remote without being so (has high speed fiberoptic!) and is fairly easy to drive to. The beauty of this property is truly magnificent and does remind me of Montana. When I am looking out of the windows of the great room with the views of Wheeler Peak in the background, I am reminded of scenes from the John Wayne movie Grit and I wouldn't be too surprised to see John Wayne or Glen Campbell come riding up to the fence! As a matter of fact, our location is perfect for privacy, we host many VIP's and are happy to sign a NDA for your peace of mind.

This ranch has been home to special events for over 100 people, weddings, Holiday parties and social functions for the people of the area. There are spectacular views from every room at the back of the home, even the bathrooms. Sunrise is not to be missed, keep the camera ready as we encourage guests to send their photos of the beauty, wildlife, or of your group enjoying the property or the area and we will share on our websites and social media - starring YOU! The home and cabin are comfortable as well as beautiful with everything we usually need for our own family gatherings, including the Julio's chips from Texas and local New Mexico Pinion coffee if we can get them for you. The Saltillo tile is heated with radiant heating we also provide firewood for the old rock fireplace or the wood stoves and a few skewers for roasting marshmallows. Premium luxury mattresses and bedding make rest like sleeping on a cloud. A steam shower and hot tub with infrared heater, touchscreen game table for 6, stargazer or wildlife telescope are added for your enjoyment. The covered front porch is long and is a great place to sit and watch the elk down below the barn jumping over the rail fence, I check it especially at sunrise and sunset for animal activity.
