Silver Falls State Park Trip

30 minutes from our destination. Power went out but there was a flashlight in the drawer. Nice cozy place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. Owner answered texts right away. Made our trip very enjoyable.

Property was easy to find. Everything was just as listed. Perfect location for us after spending the day at Silver Falls and heading to Bend.

Good location

This property was clean and in a good location. Walking distance to Mill City Grill and a grocery store. It has a comfortable bed and nice shower. Enjoyed the air conditioner in the hot weather. It does not have a dishwasher but with only two people not a problem. Could use a towel rack in the bathroom.

Mill City's best kept secret.

This was my third stay here. Super accommodating, including a washer and dryer, all kitchen essentials and plenty of supplies. This rental is bigger than it looks in the pictures but still small and quaint. It couldnt be cleaner. I will always try to book this place when in Mill City.

So cute!

What a great place! Beautifully updated and decorated. We really appreciated the air conditioning as it was in the 90s during our stay. It had everything we needed, including a little fenced in area for our dog. The unit is walking distance from a great little restaurant. Which we found to have really good food. Would highly recommend staying here.

Nice and clean

If you need a Mill City location this should work. Outside not much to look at but inside is clean and relatively recently renovated. No dishwasher FYI but there is a laundry.

Clean, restful respite from each days' family camping activities for two 70-something grandparents

Enjoyed energetic time with the families of our grown children at Detroit Lake that was less than a half hour away. Then came to this comfy cottage where it was quiet and comfortable to clean up, rest and sleep. Well appointed. Air conditioning works well. "Homey" touches throughout. Many thoughtful amenities provided. Able to acquire necessary store items nearby. No complaints.

Time to go home

Inside the property is fine except for the beds--small and hard. The neighborhood was not what we expected. We are elderly and didn't want to go out at night. And then the electricity went out! My husband tried the fuses, but after a call to the electric company , he found out it was area wide lack of electricity. No T. V. Unable to cook. It all felt very uncomfortable. We did not stay for the second night and could not figure out how to notify the host. I would be grateful for a refund for that second night.

Cute and super clean but disappointed 😞

The place is adorable and amazing clean and quiet. I would rent herw again but there were two issues. 1. 1st night shower, i thought water heater was turned down. Was just a bit better than warm. This isnt the hosts fault and i did send a text letting him kbow about it because I couldnt get back into vrbo to let him know. No response, not even a thanks which I think is odd but hey maybe his number changed? 2. What is someones fault is that I specifically rented this because of the hottub and even via vrbo turned down another host because of the hottub listed as an amenity...that is one 8nvisible hottub or it didnt exist. So all in all not hot shower, no hottub as listed. Id rent again if there was some form of hot water but now i know to confirm amenities. The lack of the hottub was a huge disappointment espe ially after a cold day in the weather.

Great stay for our destination wedding

The property was just what we needed. It was very clean and close to our friend's wedding in Gates. The kitchen was fully equipped and came with coffee pods for the coffee maker. It also had salt and pepper along with towels, soap, shampoo and body wash. Very nice touches!

Cozy vacation stay!

My family (including our dog) and I enjoyed our stay in Mill City in late July/August. Israel was very prompt in responding to my questions the morning of our trip. Check-in was seamless with the keypad and the wifi information was available on the modem in the living room. The duplex was immaculate and we appreciated that the A/C was on for us when we arrived as we visited in the middle of a heat wave. The bed was just the right amount of squish vs firm, and the bathroom and kitchen were very clean. There is one futon which my dad slept on and found comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the small gravel backyard, which is perfect for our dog to use the restroom in the middle of the night, and the convenient, ample parking space right in front or adjacent to the duplex. Mill City itself is a very small, quaint and quiet town with their only restaurant half a block down the street from us. The restaurant's ambience is very friendly and we enjoyed our dinner take-out from there. The only negative experience was being awoken once in the early morning by a woman talking loudly to herself and circling our car at 4AM. We did not see any evidence of break-ins (no glass on the ground or shattered car windows), however I would recommend against leave anything in your car. Additionally, there were soft scratches heard in the ceiling, at night which would be presumed as rodents. My parents did not mind this and fell asleep, however I was kept up by the scratching during my first night there. Regarding this location as a good launching point, I highly recommend this location for access to I-5 and the surrounding cluster of suburbs and major city (Eugene, Salem, Corvallis, and Portland). Mill City is also conveniently located close to Silver State Falls and Willamette National Forest, both of which were great reprieves in the 100+ weather we experienced. Overall, this was a very lovely experience and Israel is a wonderful host!

A great place to stay in Mill City

We enjoyed staying at this property. It was roomy for a one-bedroom apartment. It was recently renovated, beautifully decorated, and had all amenities. The property manager was helpful. We would stay here again!

Great waypoint/getaway

Israel’s place is very well thought out. It was super clean, and had all the elements of a good stay. We arrived late, and appreciated his flexibility at this listing with the keypad code. Overall, this was a positive experience and we’d stay here again if we find ourselves near Detroit!

Cozy stay in Mill City

Israel was great at communicating and super prompt with his responses. It was nice and warm when we entered the space. Everything was really comfortable and very clean. The bed was great, not too firm and not too soft.
