Welcome to Manasota Key, the premier beach of the West Coast of Florida. The sleepy coastal community allows you to unwind on the beautiful white sands and swim in the Gulf of Mexico. Within walking distance to all the bars and restaurants as well as Stump Pass Beach State Park, this unit offers everything you need for your beachfront vacation.

PLAN ACCORDINGLY: We provide for your stay the minimal amount of essentials to get your started, such as a paper towel roll, toilet paper roll, hand soap, dish soap, etc. Anything else you may need during your stay, the nearest shopping center is 10-15 minutes away from the property.

CHECK-INS: All check-ins are a self check-in process. For security purposes, access instructions will be sent to you the day of your arrival through Vrbo messaging. Thank you.

EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM EST (or afterwards). If you need the property prior to check-in time, please be made aware that early check-ins cannot be confirmed or guaranteed until the day of your arrival.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Welcome to Manasota Key, from the north tip of the island to the south, this quant 11 mile island is picture perfect “old Florida”. This island is unique in which half is in Sarasota County and the other half is Charlotte County. It consists mainly of Englewood Beach in Charlotte County, Florida and is part of the Punta Gorda Metropolitan.

MANASOTA KEY BY MORNING
In the mornings head out your front door and down to the beach where you will find dolphins and other sea creatures making an early morning appearance. Or enjoy a quick bike or car ride to sightsee around the island and find yourself breath taken by the unique layout of the island.

MANASOTA KEY BY AFTERNOON
There are great restaurants on the Key with daily food and drink specials. For a quick drive off the island, enjoy a delicious lunch at Farlows on the Water. One of the best in the area!

Great Place

This place was a perfect fit for my wife and I as well as our 7 and 12 year old boys. From fishing to shark tooth hunting and just enjoying the sunset...it was awesome! Very clean with all we needed for a quick weekend getaway.

Perfect Spot!

We love Manasora Key. This is on the beach, with a perfect balcony to watch the surf! Plenty of room inside. It is upstairs so you do have to be somewhat healty...we loved it for the exercise. Everything is close, including Stump Pass.

Englewood Beach

We enjoyed the property. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We were able to walk to local restaurants where we met friends. While the space was clean, it could have used some maintenance such as new shower curtain and rod, repairing the latch on the lanai screen door and repairing the lanai screens. Overall, we were satisfied.

Weekend Trip

The unit was clean, had basic necessities. It does have lounge chairs, beach umbrella that you can take to the beach. The beach towels are located by the TV in a basket. The unit had a screened in patio to the side with a beach view. This unit was just what we needed for the weekend.

Another awesome week!

This is our second stay at this house and 3rd on Manasota Key in a year. If you are looking for a quiet vacation and perfect spot near Stump Pass I highly recommend this house. On top of that I must say how awesome the host is. My AC went out unfortunately on my first day (Saturday) and was out for 24hrs. The host had someone there on Sunday the day before Memorial Day and it was fixed as fast as possible. Between great communication from the host and the beautiful location this is definitely my favorite spot. Thanks Andrew!

Spring Break 2024

We chose this house as it was right on the beach and we wanted a convenient stay for one night before we moved locations to stay with family. The location was amazing! Moving around the area was very easy. We enjoyed shark tooth hunting, the sunset views, the color of the water, and walking to Stump Pass Beach for a nice walk with the family. My only piece of feedback would be the hide-a-way bed. When we rolled it out it seemed damp. We laid a few blankets for the kids to sleep on. Otherwise, we highly recommend and plan to be back in the area again.

Great location but lacking current pictures

This property has a prime location and potential to be amazing. Smelled great and was very clean. We were disappointed that current pictures with the beach theme decor and furniture did not match the current hodge podge of random decor or furniture currently in the rental. Also expected an actual beach front balcony but this rental only has a very small side deck facing the neighboring home with minimal gulf views down the public access strip. Overall, the location and cleanliness makes this place worth it but would have appreciated for the home to be properly represented with current pictures and a more detailed description of the outside area.

Meh..

This property is a little apartment at the back of a beachfront property. The steps are very steep and there is no tv in bedroom or beach toys and chairs as normally supplied with a condo. The bed is 2 twins pushed together with eggcrate on top. It does offer a beachview offside of home from porch and it is in a safe area. It was just ok for the price of stay.

Couch was very uncomfortable. Not as the pictures showed. Location was excellent. TV very dirty , dog food on floor, microwave dirty on outside. Sheets on bed felt like sandpaper. Sliding door very difficult to open and re lock.. Location was excellent.

Water leak onto sofa so sofa wet and could only sit on one side. Living room sparsely furnished with sofa (only 1/2 usable) and 2 kitchen table chairs in entire room so uncomfortable to watch TV or sit and read or relax. Small patio provided limited side ocean view and high top table did not allow room for regular chairs to sit and read or enjoy looking at the ocean.

The property was not properly cleaned and you could see traces of dirt and old stains on the fridge and in the bathroom. The property smelled of humidity the entire time and when we arrived the sliding door on the balcony didn’t lock we had to contact the owner and the next day he sent someone to fix it which he did successfully in the afternoon. Finally the next day it started raining and water started coming inside the house on the living room at a point that we had to put a bucket of water so it didn’t go to the closets near by. Luckily it didn’t rain longer and we could enjoy our last day there. The owner was very responsive all the times we reached out but the house really needs a bit more of care and cleaning. The only reason I give the property 3 starts is because of the very good location it has and the responsiveness of the owners.

The Beach is Great

The beach is great, easy access which is the big draw. The house is a bit tired and furnishings rather Spartan. f Furnishing is the living room consisted of two kitchen table chairs, a couch that is well past it prime and a bean bag(yuck). Hardware for the locks to the screened in porch were non functional and hardware lose and falling off. Screened in porch had a nice view of ocean-sunsets were spectacular, Screens on porch had multiple tears and a wasp nest in the opening were the screen porch pulls away from the soffit. Living room still has visible drywall patch scars on wall and ceiling. A menagerie of glass ware and dishes kept in draws that hadn't been cleaned in awhile. If you come for the beach you wont be disappointed. If the owner is interested I have video and picture of what I shared.

We loved this little "apartment" style property. We have no complaints. If you read the reviews before booking, then you will know exactly what you're renting. This property is a back unit but does have a very nice outside, screened in deck with ocean view. Love that it was screened in. We enjoyed this deck every day/evening we were there. Yes, it's on the side of the building and not the back side big deck but it's still really cool to have. I don't understand the negative reviews on cleanliness.. this place was absolutely clean. Yes, the bed is two beds put together. It wasn't all that bad though. We slept great. Plenty of big pillows and extra linens to go with. Nice big warm blanket to snuggle on the couch. The price is perfect for this property All in all, we would stay again if we were coming to the area.

This condo is on the verge of being great. Nice view, and large unit. It came with no amenities, no salt and pepper, no coffee, etc. I know these aren't requirements, but they have been welcome at other places. There was no mention of the fact that it is two stories of steps to get there. The Living Room was equipted with one 3 seat couch, and two tiny end tables. Two Dining chairs had been pulled in from the kitchen to take up space. I had asked the host to call me, so I could point out issues he would want to fix without putting them into review. He said he would, but didn't. Communication was poor before arrival also

Mold Ants Cockroaches

I'm very unset with our stay. When we just arrived, i first noticed there was mold growing on the ceiling. That really upset me because i have children with allergies and mold is a extremely health hazardous to humans. The couch was so filthy and the pull out bed in the couch was extremely uneven and uncomfortable. We had to go to Walmart and buy new sheets and blankets for all the beds. And the king bed blanket had a hole and was super worn out. I'm very unset with our stay. When we just arrived, i first noticed there was mold growing on the ceiling. I noticed the next morning ants crawling all over the kitchen and some weird droppings I kept wiping off the counters every day. Later, I saw cockroach crawling around my avacodos! Gross! And my baby was not allowed to crawl during the whole stay because his was get instantly black. But we tried to remain positive and spent as much time outdoors. The location was very convenient and super nice with two young children. This place is not a bad rental but it definitely needs some love and attention. If the house gets a light remodel, some newer furniture (something that doesn't look 100 years old) and pest control, it would have been in much better shape.
