Welcome to St. Helen and The 4 Seasons Family Retreat! Our property is located on the Golden Eye Canal feeding into Lake St. Helen. Lake St. Helen is a 2400 acre All Sports Lake with great fishing and surrounded by nature not lake homes or cabins. The area itself is an all season location with beaches, boating, side by side and snowmobile trails. This is a phenomenal area to vacation year round in any season.

The home has brand new furnishings and bedding. There are 5 total bedrooms with two masters, one up and one down with attached en-suites. A total of 4 full bathrooms 2 up and 2 down makes this home an excellent place to stay with multiple families. The open floor plan that leads out to a large deck and Carolina room is perfect for gathering and spending time together. The kitchen is large and open with a unique concrete countertop, a peninsula for seating and is fully stocked with quality pots and pans if you desire to cook while on vacation. The living area is comfortable and large with plenty of seating and a 55” Smart TV to stream all of your favorite shows. The main level also has a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

We are conveniently located only 9 miles from the wedding venue, The Barn at Evergreen Farms. We are also very close to Houghton Lake, golf courses; The Dream, The Nightmare and Forest Dunes and many restaurants are within a 5-25 minute drive.

**Disclosure; there are exterior security cameras on the property, one located above the front door and the other on the back of the home facing the canal.

Not our first stay at this property in St Helen- we enjoy the ride in/out location for the great ORV trails in the area. The house accommodates our group of 8 easily, has great amenities and is always clean.

Beautiful place

This was one of the best experiences that I've had with VRBO. The house was absolutely amazing. Newly renovated, decorated beautifully, plenty of towels in the bathrooms, kitchen well equipped, and it was super clean. Communication with the owner was also very good. My family and I really enjoyed our Memorial weekend spent at this place. We are looking forward to go back again!

The Perfect Vacation Rent

This home is perfect! We stayed for 3 days and had a blast. On day 1 we went to the beach just down the street, it was clean and quiet. Day 2 we rented side by sides and hit the trails and rode all day, what a great adventure! On day 3 we rented a pontoon boat and hit the lake. The great thing about the pontoon boat was we could come back to the home and tie off for lunch because it is on the canal. This home is so well put together and everything is new. We are already planning to come back this winter for our next adventure, snowmobiling!!!

Immaculate home, convenient to ORV trails

The property owners responded quickly, and gave assistance with the area as well. Friendly & professional. The home is beautifully finished & decorated but most importantly, it was very very clean & well appointed. We traveled with our Mothers who are 80, as well as our adult children and everyone was comfortable. The deck is awesome, the grill was wonderful, the smokeless fire pit was welcoming after a long days ride. We travel often, and I rely heavily on VRBO reviews- I can’t say enough great things about this property. Rent it, you won’t be sorry!

10/10 Having recently visited the place with friends and family, I can confidently say that it was an absolutely amazing experience. The rooms were equipped with all the necessary amenities, providing utmost comfort and convenience. The layout of the house was perfect for two different families, as it allowed for privacy and peaceful coexistence throughout the weekend. The beautiful location and size of the property pleasantly surprised us, making our stay even more enjoyable. Moreover, the proximity to The Barn of Evergreen venue was an added advantage for us. As we were traveling back-and-forth to the barn, the convenience of our accommodation with the vrbo was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend booking your next trip here. A Perfect "Up North" Family Retreat

We needed to be in the St. Helen area for a wedding at "The Barn." This property was not only convenient to the wedding, West Branch, and Houghton, it was a lovely slice of Michigan "up north" paradise. Located on a canal to Lake St. Helen, tucked back into a pleasant neighborhood, we immediately felt the peace of Michigan lake life. My stepson even caught some impressive fish in the canal as we had cocktails on the back deck. But the location is half the story. The property is 100% modern and updated, roomy, light and bright, with all the conveniences you'd wish you had if you stayed elsewhere! Even the tap water benefits from a really good softener system. Seven adults and a teenager were more than comfortable here, playing board games, making a big brunch, cocktails and cards on the back deck, enjoying the fire pit, etc. There is also a nice room off the main floor master that serves as a retreat from the main retreat. Everyone who stayed agreed that we had found a gem. We can't wait to get back to the area again soon, and we sure hope this place is available!

Perfect Home

Our family of four and another family of four have vacationed together at a variety of VRBO’s and this was one of our favorites. The layout of the house was perfect! It was extremely clean. Probably one of the cleanest places we have stayed. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The location on the channel was perfect as well. We rented a boat from the marina one day and it was perfect to go back and forth between the lake and the home. Great location to visit Higgins Lake for the day too. We would definitely stay here again.
