Welcome to your new favorite cozy cabin in the Black Hills here at The Den! This 2 bedroom cabin is nestled in a great location not far from the local ATV and Snowmobile trails near Recreational Springs, and many other location attractions. In just minutes you can be skiing on Terry Peak, riding your ATV on the popular trails, fly fishing or hiking in the rim-rock canyon walls of Spearfish Canyon, or just enjoying a night under the stars in the hot tub. In just about an hour drive, you can also be sightseeing at Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Keystone, and more! Deadwood is only 15 minutes from the cabin, and there's great taxi service to/from the cabin into Deadwood from the cabin's location. The central location makes The Den the perfect place for you to enjoy the best of the Black Hills!

After your days enjoying the local attractions, coming home to your very own cabin is sure to make for a great vacation. The Den has a a large parking lot area great for trailers, and is only 1/4 mile from the main highway through the area. You're greeted with a front porch great for watching cars go by on the local quiet road, or enjoying the wildlife that frequents the area. Inside you'll find an open living and kitchen area, perfect for enjoying your friends/family and making meals together. Upstairs there's 2 bedrooms and a hallway that leads you out to the second and upper deck. The back deck includes a hot tub, in a very private setting that's amazing for looking at the stars, or watching wildlife while enjoying a comfortable evening. The Den is a great cabin for those smaller groups, but you'll love the amenities and location of the cabin. We welcome you on your next Black Hills vacation!

We love our stay!

My adult daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Den! It was the perfect location from Terry Peak and Deadwood. We specifically enjoyed the fireplace as well as the hot tub. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Perfect spot.

For our group and our plans, this place was absolutely a solid choice. We knew with what we had planned, we wouldn't be staying too much during the day at the cabin so the size of the place was absolutely perfect for our group. The amenities were perfect, the hot tub at night was a great way to wind down, the bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen was perfect. All in all, would recommend and stay again. The communication with Budi was amazing and always quick. And not too far away from Deadwood, so it was really nice that the taxi's even ran that way on their route.

Just what we needed

Location was great, warm and cozy, Hot tub was great, bed was nice, decorations was homey, loved the gas fireplace on the front porch for drinking coffee in the morning. Disappointed there was no Wi-Fi, no cable TV, and especially disappointed that the DVD did not work so we couldn’t even watch movies. Overall, we will be back again!

Anniversary

We came out to celebrate our anniversary and ride side by side. This place is in the perfect location. Close to the trails and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect for a short getaway

We came to celebrate our anniversary in the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the hot tub and it was close enough to Rec Springs (we rented a UTV for the day) but also Lead/Deadwood. The peacefulness of the cabin was a great place with everything you’d need for the week!

Quick weekend get away

Cute cabin. Worked great for the 4 of us. Quick drive to deadwood, which we went everyday. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the stars at night.

Construction- Road closed June 2024 for the easy way to the cabin

The current construction extended travel to and from the cabin by around 10 minutes over large speed bumps. Not the owners fault but super annoying especially when the highway was so close.

Very good location, manager very very good to work with, gave it 3 star due to this should probably (just in our opinion) be listed as a 4 person cabin, it is pretty small for how it is priced. Otherwise everything else good

Property was just ok. Contacted owner about getting in early as we were in area sooner than expected and never got response. House was fairly clean but hot tub area seemed dingy- had sticks around patio with stains or spots in hot tub. TV service didn’t work either which was a bummer since we had kids.

Decent but dirty.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and privacy was nice. The door was unlocked when we arrived, the bathroom was gross, shower and toilet were very dirty. There was still towels in the dryer for me to fold and put away. I found used feminine pads stuck under a night stand. Overall it's a cute cabin but needs a serious deep clean and the shower needs to be updated so you can shower properly.

This was one of few cabins that had a hotub and fireplace for this size cabin! It was perfect for us. The location of this cabin is great. It has a few neighbors, but it is pretty secluded. The propert was very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this to a small group or couple!

Great get away

Nice location and a nice clean cabin with the accommodating we wanted like a gas grill, hot tub, laundry, ample parking, etc. we did most of our riding about 30 miles away so we did trailer our machine for some rides but there are local trails. Nice cabin for smaller groups is just a couple, and would do in again. Black Hills Adventures was easy to deal with and will and will use them again. THANKS!
