Awesome location. Home and property could use some repairs but it’s definitely worth what we paid. Location is not ideal if you have a boat trailer but it is doable if you use the neighbors driveway to turn around.Overall it was a good stay.

This home was very clean and we loved having our dog with us. The views are spectacular and the location is quiet with just a quick walk to the beach. The bird population is abundant and the dauphins visit every day. The age of the property is showing so if you want luxury you might want something else.

Amazing location on the Bay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is comfortable and well equipped. A huge perk to being able to have our beloved dog, Comet, with us. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Excellent!

The location was amazing! Short walk to the beach, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We did see dolphins from the deck, it was maybe the closest we have been to a wild dolphin! It was such a joy being able to have our dogs there and the clean up instructions were simple. I am removing one star because while the house was neat & tidy it was not clean - a lot of dust & dirt on the window sills, marks on the doors, fabric of pretty much everything had a stain on it. It felt more like a fishing camp but we absolutely loved it and had a great time.

Plenty of open space. Well stocked with kitchen/cooking utensils. Able to fish and run crab traps right outside front door. Beach access right across highway. Mature kids can get to beach easily with bicycles.

Relaxing Holiday

Perfect! This was a perfect getaway spot for us, our son and daughter-in-law, and our dogs! Clean, easy access and perfect bay views! Great spot if you enjoy casual walks, relaxing to the sound of the bay waves and great accommodations! We’ll definitely be back!!

This little bay front cottage is one of my favorite VRBO stays. It bears the wounds and scars from tropical storms yet it’s so comfortable and homey. The views from the porch are unmatched. My husband and our two dogs enjoyed our time there fishing, birdwatching, and watching the dolphins that came to play just in front of the little cottage. Chuck was fast and friendly with communication. I can’t wait to come back.

We saw the dolphins on day 1 and a few other times while we were there. Overall, the outside of the house needs some cosmetic repairs. The interior was great for us and our dogs. Our dogs did find every sticker bur (sp?) possible with their paws. So be wary of those and bring tweezers.Couches were good for afternoon naps! The views and dolphin sightings right by the house made this a great and relaxing Christmas vacation for us.

The house is in a beautiful location. It has big windows so you can see the sunset go down over the bay without having to go outside if you don’t want to sit on the porch. The beach is close by. We swam there early in the morning and practically had the beach to ourselves. That was probably because of the time of year and day we went. The sand is very fine and white which is a definite contrast to the dark gulf water. We saw blue crab and sea turtles.My husband fished in the bay right from the house’s front yard. He caught several catfish, a pin fish, and a croaker(?). He also caught blue crab, a catfish, a pin fish, and lots of snails in his crab trap.We loved being able to bring our dogs with us. They were allowed on the beach too. Chuck was friendly and very responsive to my texts. He provided everything we needed for our stay. There is air conditioning and you can definitely tell the difference in temperature when you go outside. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and dining area. If you have a low heat tolerance, like this New Yorker, I would suggest you bring a fan for the living room. Those big windows let in the afternoon heat with that beautiful view. It’s not luxurious but it most definitely has potential especially with that fantastic location!My poor dogs did find a plant we were not familiar with. It has little sharp burrs that hurt like the dickens! The points will stick into your skin like splinters. Overall, we had a fantastic time!

When we arrived, we could not get in the house. The instructions stated a code to unlock the door. There was nothing on the door to put a code in. After an hour of trying to get information about that, we looked under the door mat and found a set of keys. When we walked in, the house was so hot! I called VRBO, who could really not do anything. I finally got in touch with Chuck. I told him it was 80 degrees inside and that the unit just wasn’t keeping up. We were miserable. He said to send him pictures/video. I did. As the evening wore on, I tried to get in touch with him again. He turned off his phone. VRBO stayed in touch and also tried to get in touch with him. They never could. This was on Thursday. We were so upset that we planned to leave Friday morning and just go home. But we stayed because we couldn’t get any money back. The temp got down to 75 degrees at night. We loved where this house was. The views were beautiful and dolphins swam right up to the walkway. But we were just miserable with the heat. Saturday the temp went back up to 80 degrees. We never really got cool. We left Sunday morning (9/13/26) feeling cheated out of a relaxing weekend that we had hoped for. Do better!

Loved the view and relaxing atmosphere

Overall we had a good experience. I read the reviews before we came. As mentioned the outside needs quite a bit of work and can be hazardous, especially for people with balance trouble. Loved the inside of the house and the gorgeous views though. Would have loved to stay longer.

Love it, mostly!!

The view of the bay was awesome!! Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the dolphins. The house was very clean and stocked with essentials. The outside needs a good clean-up! Overall we will return once the outdoors is finished! Thank you for sharing your property us!!

Quiet getaway

Nice older cottage that is a stones throw from the water. My wife and I wanted a quiet place to relax and this was it. The cottage was not fancy but was very clean and had everything we needed. The outside still needs repairs to the seawall and dock but was stated in the listing. I wasn't here for fishing anyway.

This property was a struggle for our family

The house was comfortable, yet lacked some basic items like coffee cups. The property grounds are a safety hazard. The sea wall appears to be in the process of being repaired, and rebar is sticking out in multiple places. This property is not kid-friendly.

Would rent again

It has a few problems like the doors need weather stripping and a hump in the kitchen/dinning room floor. They emailed me the wrong code but I looked on Vrbo and it had the right one. No keys you lock with code and that’s how you get in and out. Over-all I would rent again. Quite neighborhood. We seen some dolphins while we were there.

Serenity, Views, Relaxing, our Furbabies!

Vacation with 4 dogs and my family, priceless! This beach house is right on the water, the views are breathtaking and it’s so quiet/peaceful. The porch is almost a wrap around, covered and plenty of room to enjoy all the nature and sea has to offer. We drank our coffee with the pelicans, seagulls and we were able to see dolphins come by us. The sunsets were beautiful and there was just enough space to have our dogs an area on the side to enjoy as well. Yes the sea wall and dock are in the process of being repaired but that shouldn’t take away from the beauty. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have dogs.
