Following a renovation in December 2021, this property has been artfully transformed into a rustic sanctuary radiating beauty and charm. We believe joy lies in the simple things in life. At our home, nature surrounds you and we provide a clean environment to come back to while you enjoy your adventures. This is a true beachfront oasis with the laid back Pura Vida spirit!

Located off the main road into Tamarindo, adjacent to Baulas National Park and overlooking Tamarindo Beach, La Choza del Estero is within walking distance of downtown attractions. From world-class surf spots to shopping, restaurants, and bars, everything Tamarindo has to offer is easily accessible. Surrounded by nature, guests are invited to relish the outdoor amenities, including the pergola, BBQ area, tropical gardens, outdoor bamboo shower, fire pit, and captivating ocean views.

The name "La Choza del Estero" holds a special significance. "La Choza" translates to "home" in the native Indian or "Chorotegan" dialect. The name "La Choza del Estero" can be interpreted as "Home along the Estuary." Surrounded by lush trees, including a majestic 200-year-old Guanacaste tree, the property enjoys the rejuvenating ocean breeze and thrives with diverse flora and fauna. Our home pays tribute to traditional Costa Rican architectural styles known as "bahareques," featuring a charming blue and white exterior paint adorned with various local woods and bamboo elements. It is our mission to share the authentic Costa Rican experience with all our guests.

Accommodating a maximum of 12 guests, this property boasts 5 bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Three rooms are situated on the second floor, while two are located on the first floor with separate private entrances that do not connect from within the house. In total, there are 6 queen beds and a sofa bed available. The first-floor rooms offer personal mini-fridges and coffee makers for added convenience. Additional amenities include air conditioners, smart locks with personalized codes for each room, surveillance cameras, smart TVs, bamboo mattresses, ceiling fans in two rooms, kitchen appliances, and utensils. The indoor kitchen and dining area can accommodate 6 guests, with an outdoor BBQ area available for entertaining. The property boasts outdoor upper and lower decks as common areas reflecting traditional Costa Rican hospitality with spaces for socializing and storytelling.

The property is meticulously maintained by a private gardener and housekeeper, with complimentary housekeeping and laundry services provided every other day, excluding Sundays. Free onsite parking, high-speed internet, premium cable, and private beach access enhance the guest experience. The outdoor pergola and fire pit offer a cozy setting for gathering, while the location near Las Baulas National Park and Tamarindo Estuary provides a unique opportunity to explore diverse flora and fauna. Please be advised that while we cannot guarantee a completely bug-free environment due to our location in a highly tropical setting, we do offer monthly fumigation services to help minimize mosquitoes and other bugs on the property.

Conveniently located near amenities, the property is a short distance from the main grocery store, the nearest hospital, and a quick walk to downtown Tamarindo. Guests can enjoy peace and tranquility while having easy access to shops, restaurants, and nightlife without the need for a rental car. Please note that during the high season, you may occasionally hear street noise due to the property's proximity to the main road. Please note: the owners own 2 properties next door; you may occasionally see the owners throughout your stay.
